One of the most underated bands of all time.
Just awesome.....got me through the 90' s
and first place goes to Matt Le Tissier for his chip against Blackburn..
Very good 😊
lol goal of the month is all i think of when i hear this 🤣
Es una de las mejores canciones Si, porque hace muchos años atrás, una señorita pregunto a Ian que iba hacer Riley, su hermano cuando ellos salen de gira se preocupo por Riley hay veces que aparece en escenarios ja.
😂😂😂
I prefer his backheel over head, flick ball over two players, side foot pass into net past hapless goalkeeper goal against Newcastle personally. 😉
If Le Tissier were playing today, he'd be worth £200 million and every club in Europe would be after him.
This song takes me back to my teens, so sweet. Also, Im definitely thinking Goal of the month!
your voice is a gift Ian.. from i was 17 to 4ish🤳👍 waitin your gigs in Indonesia
Pure nostalgia x
Love these sessions along with Howard Sterne and Darryl's house
The keyboard player is straight 🔥
Great song
Young lady has a lovely voice
Love the Lightning Seeds.
Gem!
Dennis Bergkamp vs Newcastle!
the back up singer is really good
Goal C Andy cole
Football ⚽
engage the 'underrated' fetish. GO!!!
Underrated? No.
They really are murdering this classic. All the top line melody instrumentation has gone, as has Ian Brodie's voice. Where are the strings and accordion?
Tell ya what boys, see if that brunette article was giving me a right seeing to, I'd wap out a few Tusken Raider noises RRRRRR'rrrrrrrr
Funnily enough, was thinking the exact same thing. Fancy a drink sometime chief?

Is it ridiculous to say this is one the best pop songs ever made? I feel like it’s stupid to say that but at the same time I completely believe it. It’s pure magic.
Not ridiculous. My favourite of theirs is their debut Pure in 1989 but Life of Riley was very popular and stands as one of the defining songs of its era. Broudie produced some of the Liverpool bands in the eighties before branching out with his own career.
@@eightiesmusic1984 Yes love 'Pure' too. They're yet another great Liverpool band.
The greatest pop band of all time in my eyes. Ian is an incredible song writer.
You really need to get out more
Yes
And with the strike of a single chord I’m back in 1992. This song is simply a classic.
Is that Phil Jupitus on bass?
Well there goes my original joke.
No…. Phil Jupitus doesn’t play bass.
Brilliant, that was exactly my first question!!
It's David feherty
Well there goes my latest joke!
A long time fan, glad to see the guy back!
Was this the song that accompanied ITV's football on a Sunday? Yeah, I know it's a random question..😂
BBC match of the day goal of the month
Still got it m8 .brilliant
Fantastic goal.
Who is the girl?
How old do I feel now and how old do all the MEN look
You’ll feel even older when you realise this song was written about Ian Brodie’s infant son, Riley…. who is now the young guy playing guitar alongside him.
Weak bass. Needed to accentuate the bass guitar 🎵😎
Needs to do something with his voice or retire, the backing singer is dreadful as well
LOS .. classy
Great music
TUNE!!!!😊😊😊
One of my most
favorite songs!!
A quality studio band, not so good live though.
Understood.
I do love Ian and Co. But it's so sad when you hear voices degrading due to age like that.
He's never had the best live voice to be honest. But still a huge fan
It’s much stronger in a full live setting - this was about 6.30am if I recall believe me my voice isn’t great then either 😂
What an underrated band
Agreed
and there not a band........................
@@edwardkent They very much are a band, thanks.
@@broceliandeforest7420 what the OP means is they aren’t talked about as highly as they should be.
@@broceliandeforest7420 and “day one” was 1989. They didn’t tour until 1994.
