This pattern is fantastic. I made it and it is prettiest balaclava I've ever made. But I want to mention that this pattern is for little kids. It didn't fit my head. But I gave this to my younger sister. If you do this for you , you can start with more chains. Mayben55 chains. It is so cool. You will never regret it❤

Also. I think it looks cuter when it is little bit big. And the neck part doesn't stretch that much. So it would be better if you make it bigger

It may be due to your own tension while crocheting. I'm pretty loose, so it works fine to me. Always adjust to your own goals, of course

Just finished crocheting my balaclava. Thank you for the tutorial! I used DK yarn without moher and about half way through I realized that the balaclava is shaping up too small/tight, so I added more rows in the back, but it still just barely fits my head 😅 I ended up not bending/sewing the around-the-face ribbon so there's enough material covering the sides of my face. Might do it later if the balaclava stretches over time😊

On row 26 after crocheting 24 stitches you have to add 24 sc on the side that has the bumps which she points out at 7:37 .At the end of row 26 you chain 1 and turn your work to start row 27 then sc all the way around until the stitch marker. You’re basically crocheting an L shape.

Hiii, lovely tutorial but I have a doubt 🧐
How should I take the measurements? For example, from the top of my head to my neck, or the circumference of my head? I'm lost.
