Just got my 2007 at an auction from a guy that took really good care of it and it only had 109K original miles. I’ve been driving it around a few days now and I love it. It’s a very solid truck and I feel safe inside. I feel very good about my purchase !! 👍
My friend is a guru transmission mechanic he has over 700,000 miles on his 2001 original engine and transmission . He always uses royal purple and drains replaces 3 quarts transmission fluid every oil change made it easy by getting aftermarket pan with drain plug . Not to mention he drives like he belongs in nascar !
My dad use to have this car in white. He had it customized and it looked beautiful. I enjoyed riding in it because I felt so high up being in. Too bad he had to sell it for money.
@@AsianNIGMA yes indeed, I have seen many white f150s and f250s for construction workers and other companies. Most silverados in my area are lifted or lowered as a owner truck for daily drivers.
@@cdsantx and those construction companies cycle through them every 3-4 years while they have a factory warranty, right before it’s up they sell them before the value drops
Just got my license and I'm getting a 2007 Chevy 1500. Half ton. I haven't seen the truck myself yet though. It has a back seat and I was wondering if it's anything like this truck?
Man I just got my first American truck 2007 4x4 v8 5.3 silverado chevy I was a Toyota kind of guy I loved the cars but when I drove the truck I had to get it i love the power and 4×4 it's great for the snow.
i have a 2007 chevy sliverado crew cab SLT 200,000 miles, NEVER HAD ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT and i have gone offroading, tug-o-wars, drag races with it and nothing has been broken, GOD I LOVE CHEVY
J Godfrey megabyte22 I'm a chevy guy too, I just don't understand why some people need to lie saying that bullshit...I can understand if GM is paying you, but obviously not because they don't even make those ridiculous clams; no truck or car on the planet can go 200,000 miles with no issues
One of the most underrated things was the rear differential being further off the ground than Dodge and Ford. Helps if you do a poor man's lift lol. Each truck make has their own specialty. Ford has the frame, Chevy has suspension and Dodge has the engine. Put em together and you have a tank. MY OPINION anyway, don't start firing insults my way because you disagree.
@mrandy147896321 actually there normal v8s get about 1-2mpg better even without the 4 cylinder shutdown but there is nothing wrong with it, its a great idea and works very well.
Ecoboost is a great concept but there's issues too it one that turbo will strain an engine two the turbos aren't top of the line and have been reportedly expensive to repair and in the recent months drivers have reported to ford that as they tow like a boat or something they every once in a while loose power dramatically
@Pluddou Bragging rights. People here in America tend to try and outdo one another. Everything is always a competition here, and if it's bigger, then it's better.
The 3.5 ecoboost is alright, it can haul more than the 5.3, so what? A v6 regardless of what it hauls is like a kick to the nuts, V8's and trucks are like peanut butter and jelly
I love my 07 chevy silverado. I have a 6 inch lift i think its a pretty sexy looking truck. I am about to upload a video of my truck. Check it out and let me know what you think.
GM TRUCKS.....FUCK YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a new body style 07' GMC SIERRA 1500 Z71 5.3L love it! Amazing truck. Next one will have the 6.0 or 6.2 need more HP and that new 6 speed transmission.
@yumyumluckycharms okay. the corvette beats the living hell out of both the cars you just mentioned. the base corvette looks better, makes more power, is more aerodynamic. i have not personally driven either but ive owned nissans. they suck and things quit working the moment you hit 30,000miles. the aveo is just a rebadged Daewoo Kalos from South Korea. granted it had low build quality. but the honda sure doesnt beat it.
Ford, with their 3v Triton V8- Absolutely fantastic truck, mind the awful engine with tons of problems that ford refuses to fix. Dodge, good truck, awful transmissions. And the 318, fucking terrible. Chevy- Fantastic engine, Best Transmissions, best interior, and best stock ride.
I have a question: Why do you Americans have such big and strong engines? In the most states you have a speed limit of 55 miles, which is pretty slow. It's no offense but a point I do not get.
love all the comments bashing Chevy on here. it's a chevy review. if you don't like it, go jack off to pictures of the shitty f-150. there is a reason ford sells more trucks...they're cheaper. apples to apples resale figures: 2007 chevy ltz z71 to a 2007 f-150 xlt....same mileage. $5000 in the chevy's favor. eat it homers.
chevy and ford make good trucks i like fords because thay get better gas mileage and are faster next .chevy is longer lasting if you wat it for ever ford 200,000 -300,000 miles chevy 300,000-500,000 both good trucks
@yumyumluckycharms im a GM guy and i laugh at slow, cheaply made, boring hondas that cant compare to GM cars. any honda you show me, ill show you an all around better GM car
Here I am 12 years later with my 2007 Silverado 1500 5.3 liter. Love it! Great in the winter and it has 139,000. Original motor and transmission.
Gas mileage ok in your opinion?
Did you ever disable the dod system to stay v8 all the time?
Only 139k in 12 years? You must have a fantastic commute time

Still have mine with 122,230 miles on it original motor and everything crisp interior other than the cracked dash
@Pluddou with trucks you need those engines for hauling, but in cars and suvs, we just like to have power, the git up and go.

Entire f series : i am a joke to you?
Yes it is a joke, the average consumer doesn’t buy ford
And to add to my point work companies buy fords cause they’re cheap POS, the moment they get out of warranty their value tanks and they get sold

to me, and if u think about it, tundra isnt rlly even half the truck silverado is, but u have a point and im agreeing with u
They fail to mention the sheet metal is thinner and rust pretty quickly . Also watch out for some that have the wrong oil dipstick .
I think the Chevy Silverado / gmc Sierra is good enough to be my truck.

@coast1010 umm the new 2007 and up sierras and silverados have better mpg then the f150s.
back then they didn't spected the dash to break

I don't know if it's America's truck but it's assembled in Mexico and Canada. :-))
I've got two, a 2007 and a 2011. Both made in Ft. Wayne Indiana.

haha interesting name choice
GM needs to call Dodge and Ford designers to redu their interior...
