    Hello! Thanks for the awesome review! You didn't mention anything about the 75Hz, does it works with the USB-C cable included in the box. Is some difference with 60Hz?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  2 роки тому +18

      Hi Roman, By default the monitor runs 60Hz refresh rate when I plug in the monitor using USB-C cable to my Asus Zenbook Laptop. I went into Windows 11, System, Display, Advance Display settings and I manage to change this monitor refresh rate to run at 75Hz, and yes it can run 75Hz with the USB-C cable included in the box.
      I don't really do gaming so 60 and 75 Hz does not make a huge difference to me, can't really see the difference. Hope this helps.

    I like the part you talk about the stand in details, I once try to save a few dollars and bought this monitor without the full functional stand (only with a tiny stand which has almost no movement at all ) , that was silly.

    • @SkyPerspective

      That's interesting. Why did you return the HP monitor? Which model is that? Not as good as this Dell?

    • @GEE-SHOCK
      @GEE-SHOCK 2 роки тому +2

      @@SkyPerspective the HP model was E27u with USB-C. Main reason for returning is I have had a few replacements, but seems there is light bleeding and “one side warmer than the other side” issue. I know it’s common in IPS but I just don’t like it.
      - In HP there is no audio jack - very inconvenient. It’s also 6 bit FRC not real 8 bit.
      - Dell’s maximum brightness is 350 nit while only 250 nit for HP
      - Price wise HP cost me $470 (corporate discount) and Dell cost me $331 (after eBay voucher) so Dell is definitely of much better value.
      - I especially like Dell’s display manager which lets you easily adjust brightness and contrast using your mouse.
      Never a Dell fan but now changing my mind!!!

      1) No, not that I know of. I tried to look for ways to do that, but I can't do it. I am also using two laptop with one monitor, one connected via USB-C the other via HDMI.
      2) The USB ports are always connected to the computer that is connected to the USB-C port. HDMI only carries display and audio signals, it cannot transfer USB data.

      @SkyPerspective  2 роки тому

      I am not an expert, but I don't see any bleeding and the colours are accurate for this S2722DC compared to my laptop monitors. Both Lenovo and Dell are very close in terms of specs. I would suggest think about the warranty and after sales support you get between Lenovo and Dell in your country. One of my dell monitor has issues within it's three years warranty and they replaced it with a brand new one. I like the stand design of Lenovo. Hope I am not making it more confusing. 🙂

    Hey, nice video ! For the display scaling presented at 6:20, it is just a question of scaling, isn´t? That is something what you can change in display setting. I guess on left monitor scaling is 150% and on right is 125%. Thanks

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Kenny, If you don't have a USB-C port on your laptop, you can connect using HDMI assuming you have HDMI port on your laptop? What's the port available on your laptop? If VGA port, then you may want to consider getting the SE series like the SE2422H ( ua-cam.com/video/GONBftEJTTo/v-deo.html )
      Yes, if you don't really make use of the USB-C port to expand your peripherals, then no point getting this S2722DC if you can get the S2721DS at a cheaper price. However, you may also want to consider if your will be upgrading your laptop during the lifespan of you using your new monitor. Your next laptop most likely will have a USB-C (charging) port, then the USB-C port on S2722DC will come in handy.
      I purchased all my monitors from Dell Australia website (when they are on discount) and they post the monitors to me. Really convenient, and they have a record for my warranty.

      @SkyPerspective  11 місяців тому

      Most likely not and might be worse. The quality of both these Dell monitor panels are about the same. And with S2722DC QHD, the 1080p videos need to scale up to 2560x1440 pixels when full screen. Better to stay with S2721 1080p. If you want better resolution, go for a higher class series like Dell P or U series and avoid the S series. Or go for gaming monitors.

      I don't have that problem. If you watch my recent desk setup videos where I have this monitor as my main monitor in the background, I am using the original monitor stand. Whenever I adjust my standing desk, it doesn't wobble much. Having said that my standing desk is pretty stable and the monitor is not set to its maximum height. I have used it to create thumbnails for my UA-cam video and the colours are quite accurate when I see the same picture on my other devices such as my beautiful Samsung s21 screen and galaxy tab s6 tablet. The monitor is connected to the desktop PC or laptop in this case.
      With (1), we would connect and pair the keyboard and mouse to the phone using Bluetooth.
