Spot on. Your commentary is quite enlightening and analytical. I think a fully employed South African has a better living standard than any one working anywhere else in the continent. Keep up the good work

I totally agree. On average, any white-collar, fully employed South African earns more than anyone else on the continent.

Soweto poor? neighbourhood in Johannesburg are mostly mixed not dominated by one group. Soweto is very rich you clearly don't know Soweto, its few capital cities in Africa with GDP that is bigger than Soweto. Soweto is very rich and very developed. You should do research on Soweto. Soweto is the richest Township in Africa beating many surburbs outside SA in development

Dude half the population of SA is not living in poverty, there is noway poverty in SA is higher than Egypt, you can even check the income and the national budget of both countries. SA poverty rate is very low especially when we use international standards, our local standards are high, we measure poverty by $4,8 a day while Egypt uses $1.8 which is international standard

Gautrain is a fast metro train in Johannesburg, in the city its runs underground so that should be considered subway.

To be fair, I succumb to the exemplary reference to the Gautrain. It has a 15-kilometre underground section. That is enough to be considered a metro. I stand corrected.

It seems there's been a misunderstanding regarding Soweto and South Africa's economic landscape, particularly in relation to the black natives. South Africa indeed boasts a significant number of black millionaires, more than any other African country. This economic growth and development have been particularly pronounced since 1994, following the end of apartheid and under the governance of the African National Congress (ANC). It's important to remember that the ANC inherited substantial national debt from the National Party, making their achievements even more notable. Although Alexandria is larger and more industrialized, its GDP outside the capital region may offer a comparison to Soweto within Johannesburg.

I am glad you have not used pejorative words since the Cape Town Nairobi video. It makes the truth go down easier. 😂

If Cairo with 22 Million people produces 75% GDP of a country with 115 million people, you mean that the remaining 93 million people only produce 25% of the economy?

Cairo is Egypt! Almost everything in Egypt is concentrated in Cairo. 🤷🏿‍♂️

@@BantuCityDiaries This means that there’s thus a real big gap between Cairo and the rest of the country, the 93 million.

Your stats are inaccurate. Egypt and Nigeria both have a lower PPP per capita than SA

You don't even understand what you are saying. South Africa has a population of 60 million and an economy bigger than Nigeria. PPP in South Africa is measurable with European countries. Nigeria is still a low income country with a very small middle class. The Purchasing power parity of South Africa is not comparable with Nigeria. Only Egypt has a PPP comparable to SA. Don't expose your ignorance on an international platform. Of the 35 poorest countries in the world by GDP per Capita and PPP, 15 of them are in West Africa including Nigeria.

Attacking? 'Attacking' must have a different meaning in your version of the English language.
