Miganarchine - Other than it randomly being the icon I chose for the channel years ago, it doesn't related much. I cropped out part of the image so it is the shape of an airplane window, so it's more travel related. All this took about 10 minutes as the site is integrated with UA-cam. Any other thoughts? Love your choice of routing of the downtown streets. I don't need to go downtown to see this anymore. Comfy in my Scarborough home. Been here 74 yrs. Great video. thanks.

I love Toronto as much as I love NYC. A lot. It’s a real city filled with fun. First time visiting in the 1960s! I love the people there and the energy.
Even though Toronto is nice and worth exploring, it’s just not in the same league as NYC. Few cities can compete with NYC really, and the urban landscape is much more dense and impressive I believe
Jim Bobson If you look at numbers, you see they are not. NYC is not only larger and more populated, it’s also the financial capital of the world, and its economy is larger than the entire provinces of Ontario and Quebec put together (the 2 richest provinces in Canada). NYC is home to Wall Street and the United Nations headquarters, and is probably the most famous city in North America (and globally maybe). It’s full of world famous landmarks: Statue of Liberty, Empire State, Central Park etc Toronto is a nice city of course, and a good place to live, and it could compete with cities close to its size and relevance, but it’s not NYC or London or Paris or Tokyo. Objectively speaking.
Jim Bobson GDP means how much money a city produces, and how powerful economically it is. NYC’s economy is absolutely massive and smashes any other city in the world except for Tokyo (which has almost 40million people). If you want to “compare” major cities, the economy is one of the main elements to consider. NYC is not only much much richer than Toronto (and half of Canada, for that matter), but it’s also more powerful politically, financially, and culturally. NYC houses the UN, arguably the most famous theatre district in the world, and some of the most prestigious museums and institutions (eg Julliard) on the planet. Toronto has been getting skyscrapers for a few years now, while New York created the modern skyscraper (along with Chicago), and boasts a much varied architecture as these skyscrapers evolved.. today the city has the highest concentration of them in the world (after Hong Kong), far more than Toronto. Sorry, but I could go on for days... Toronto is a cool city, it’s modern and livable and has grown a lot, but you’re comparing it with one of the world’s greatest and most influential cities, which was one the most populated place on the planet as well as the largest gateway for immigration in the Americas. Toronto is a Canada’s largest city, NYC is one of the capitals of the world.
Jim Bobson So I just checked and, as of 2018, Seoul metro area has a GDP of 894 (4th richest city in the world) and Chicago has 689 (6th richest city in the world), so not sure why you bring that up. Toronto is the 28th richest. You also seem to imply that Chicago is a not a big or important city. I’d have to remind you that Chicago has the headquarters of several of the 500 largest global companies, including: Boeing, Krafts, McDonalds, Sears, United Airlines, Walgreens, Heinz etc. It also has O’Hare Airport (the 5th/6th with most passenger traffic on the planet, and the second airport with the most international connections after London’s Heathrow). Not to mention that it has one of the largest concentration of skyscrapers (far more than Toronto), and has one of the most stunning architecture in North America. Despite its population being in decline, Chicago still comes ahead of Toronto on most aspects... But I do agree that Toronto should be compared with Chicago, it’s much more fitting. NYC is a whole different level
Jim Bobson Also, sorry but I just checked the 2019 ranking, and NYC is the richest city on the planet now 😂 (having surpassed Tokyo, which has TWENTY MILLION people more than NYC). That’s how absurdly rich New York is....
Just a month ago, many of those intersections were an absolute party after Raps won. People converging from all directions and cheering, jumping and dancing. Utter joy! Cheers for the footage, J, from Toronto.
as someone who pays close attention to the buildings on the way... just you wait you ain't seen nothing yet. there's so many big projects coming that in about 10-15 years the city is going to look different even compared to today.

@Free Biafra from Occuption Oui, je parle francais. But I'm a little bit out of practice. I did recall some of the french that I learned in school when I was in Montreal heading for Nova Scotia a few years ago.
Toronto is a diverse and cosmopolitan city. It is such a wonderful place to be, although it seems to be a quiet and peaceful city. Without much media news coverage, I must say that, despite its tranquillity, Canada is a country that has a good infrastructure and land where it is very exciting to go and see other places within Toronto. About 12 years ago, I got the opportunity to go Canada. However, I missed the chance to go to Niagara falls and Toronto as a city itself. If I were to go back to Canada again, I will definitely go and see the city. But the only thing is that I would not want to live there as, being a beautiful country as it is, the travelling to get to other places must be one hell of a ride and not local like living in the United Kingdom. To cut the story short, Canada, I ❤ U!
@@mattcordero8612 I'm aware of that. But, to me, it is quite a tranquil country with regards to news media coverage. We do not hear much about Canada and what it gets up to LOL.
@@laracroft9363 without big cities the economy would tank. I use to live in South western Ontario and wow the the hate for Toronto and Montreal was insane to the point where I believed it before I lived in Toronto. Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is a major Canadian city along Lake Ontario’s northwestern shore. It's a dynamic metropolis with a core of soaring skyscrapers, all dwarfed by the iconic, free-standing CN Tower. Toronto also has many green spaces, from the orderly oval of Queen’s Park to 400-acre High Park and its trails, sports facilities and zoo.
