I like how they actually got the sand to leave a skate trail from his shoes.
Maybe it's just the same physics?
I Believe the game does this naturally as it isn’t a texture

Apparently the game does that automatically, the sand physics just do that on their own. Super cool stuff

I like how Shadow says how to defeat the enemy because it can help players who don’t know how to defeat them and it just fits him

Things I noticed that are quite impressive:
1: Shadow's Shoes causes a Trail in the sand which is a nice detail.
2: Dialouges used of old shadow and in the unused dialouges part and he got his own dialouges! How did you do that!?
3: Attack Colors Are Shadow styled.
4: Seeing shadow Just Slide through Ares Island is Satisfying AF!
5: He Has his own animations of Infinite Boost.
6: Also he got a super form.... Nice.
Overall move and fightset are The same as Sonic. But the fighting style quite fits with Shadow as well. Modders are pretty impressive with their work.
2: 6:02 he some unused dialogues for old shadow using the a.i. voice from uberduck/fake you tts.
1) seeing Shadow going through Cyber Sky Rail brings back memories,that was one of my favorite moments from SA2
2) unironically,hearing a Metalcore Boss Theme while playing as Shadow makes the whole thing edgier,and in a good way
3) overall,this mod is pretty good and I hope we will get to play as Shadow or other characters in the next game
They could base his moveset off of 06
I hope they make other characters playable. Like Knuckles, or even if they added Silver. That would be very fun.
The music fits Shadow so much more compared to Sonic in my opinion.
Just wait a year and we get free dlc is it good? Idk but still we get to play as other characters
It's always crazy to me how coincidentally Shadow's older voicelines seem to fit PERFECTLY into every mod he's thrown into.
Honestly, Shadow feels right at home here with the semi realistic art style. Combine that with Shadow's edgy smack talk lines -- it feels like the game was made for him. I love Sonic Frontiers as is but damn!

I love the detail put into this.
1. The change in aura from blue to amber (I prefer red but whatever)
2. small adjustments to Shadow’s movements like his skating motions and punching for the sonic boom attack
3. the fact that they got JASON GRIFFITH to do lines for it.

@@thesmstudios3223 It sure seems like it. I’d recognize his Shadow voice anywhere. I mean, maybe they just cut-and-pasted lines from other games (I haven’t played them all, so I don’t know), but either way, I’m sure it’s Jason.
@@yeahboy6807 Considering they repeated a bit often I don't doubt they're just taken from other games. But to get Jason involved with mod projects would certainly be a welcome treat, and considering how much luck people like Emi had with Sonic and Tails R, I'm hopeful it'll happen again in the fanbase in the future. To have the entire 4Kids or Dreamcast era VAs reprise their roles would certainly be amazing for fanmade character episodes, like this one but with different characters saying their own lines.
They could have used some ai and reused lines for Shadow but idk
I think one touch that this mod needs, Is the jets on the bottom off the shoes to light. although I'm not a modder, and have no idea how to add that. but It would make this mod feel more official then it already does.
That, and for the jets to flare larger during the full ring boost. Would make it look much more epic than it already is
I'm impressed, but fr how hard could it be, it's the way the entire character functions
Another thing modders don't seem to figure out is having his speed build ups using faster leg movements than at full speed, or that his boost uses the same animation as air dash.

Finally someone asked why Shadow, the only character who can ACTUALLY help Sonic in Frontiers, didnt appear
So nice to see my favorite red and black hedgehog in this game and also nice to hear Jason Griffiths as Shadow. I don’t mind the actors who voices him in the Sonic Heroes game and the Sonic Boom series but I prefer Jason as the ultimate Shadow voice
Seeing Shadow smile this much isn't something you get to enjoy often, though it feels a bit weird since it's not in a smirky way
Yeah if it's a smirk then that fits Shadow but seeing him smile like 😃😁 doesn't feel like him
I think the one thing missing visually from shadow's animations is just the glow that's supposed to come out of his rocket skates when he runs or boosts besides that this is pretty damn good
If anyone is curious as to why people are modding Frontiers so quickly:
Frontiers uses the same file formats that Forces uses, so a lot --- if not all --- of the modding tools used for that game work for Frontiers as well.
Because it was built for that.

This mod's looking great so far. I just hope the developers are able to implement changes in Shadow's actual dialogue and expressions in-game some day, though that might be too tall of an order for one mod.
The voice alone makes me wanna download this mod asap, this was my favorite sonic voice actor of all time.

I love this. Just a personal nitpick, I think I’d limit the “Prepare to die” voice line a bit just so it doesn’t pop up more often than it needs to especially back to back as seen in the Wyvern fight. Other than that this mod looks incredible.

My one note, and I have no idea how feasible it would be, is to see if you can replace that ranged kick laser attack and with chaos spears.

The power of text to speech!
It's from the Shadow the Hedgehog game, there's an entire mini-storyline that's all about cyberspace and computers. A lot if not all of the voice lines from that game are used in this mod.

This mod is really good. I don't think there's much details to change except making some "Sonic-like attacks" into "Chaos energy attacks" but that might take a lot of time & effort and probably other stuff I didn't pick up. But yeah, it's a great step forward.
I hope the next Mod will be with Silver ! (I want to see Super Silver again)

Honestly, the combat in this game feels more fitting for Shadow that Sonic, I mean, since when is Sonic supposed to be able to fire projectiles? At least here I can head-cannon it as some form of Chaos Spear attack, makes me wish this was official, but seeing as how successful Frontiers has been, It gives me a little bit of hope that Sega and Sonic team might create DLC characters in the future, but seeing as I'm a long-time Sonic fan, I know better than to get my hopes up.

This fits shadow wayyyy more like some of those abilities sonic has in this game fit more with shadow because we've seen shadow do this kind of thing before

All they would have to do is change some voicelines/animations, give him a new moveset, and maybe they could give us the true final battle they where intending to go for in the original game

Now imagine if the mod also switched up the Sonic Crew with some of Shadow's friends/partners. Didn't even think modding for this game would be this high quality, I am also sadge this will be closest we'll probably get to another playable Shadow game
This shadow model is perfect. The sonic forces shadow felt really nice, but seeing him move a little faster insted of hovering is what i always wanted to see

What I like the most about this game is how they utilize Sonic/Shadow´s ability to move quickly to utilize new moves, like that whirlwind move.

That is Jason Griffith- that line is from Shadow the Hedgehog, where there were multiple levels set in “cyber space”
