Why is that a bad thing? I think it's a pretty meaningful gesture. It's not simple a loop either, small details on her clothes and face change throughout.

Suitable for an anime with horror and mystery aspects - With some action going on too.
Inabakumori's music always manages to mix both upbeat and solemn feelings, but Pascal Beats and NON-USE seem to also have this feeling of lurking anger and violence being repressed.
perhaps. these songs seem to share the feeling of being crushed by expectations, i feel. as with all of his songs, there’s an underlying similarity in tonality and projection, but especially with pascal beats and nonuse as well as lagtrain and rainy boots.
i feel like pascal beats is the most aggressive sounding in the lyrics, especially the start. feels extremely passive aggressive, but with the tone of voice in this, it just seems active aggressive

This is the first time I'm doing this kind of comment so here I go (09/27/20 edit: thanks for the kind [and not-so-kind] support! Added a tl;dr for those who are in a hurry):
Tl;dr: The song depicts a young introverted girl walking alone to/from school, who is suddenly confronted by other students trying to edge her onto a conversation. The introverted girl is then rudely criticized in failing to follow through with their conversation. The song portrays the reclusive girl’s inner thoughts about this kind of situation.
The way I always interpreted this song is that the starting and repeating lyrics/chorus, "Say, can't you try a bit more to understand?," is someone (most likely another classmate) harshly saying this after having a long winded one-sided conversation to a quiet, socially anxious, and introverted girl, while walking to school (most likely high-school) in the morning (hence: the girl wearing a school uniform in the music video, and the lyrics, “The morning glow left this girl temporarily blinded. I’m only walking in the direction the clouds are drifting.”).
The lyric, “I've run out of the energy I've counted on,” is the classmate saying that she relied on this reserved introverted girl to share the same kind of energy she was trying to make with this one-sided conversation. The next lyrics after that with the music video motif of the girl turning to look at the screen: "Let me answer--just a little, but also a lot--while gravity is doing its job with the tear running down my cheek," is literally the introverted girl, hurt by the classmate’s words, uncomfortably turning to look at this person she doesn't know with an implied tear running down her cheek (although tears doesn't actually show in the music video, it shows that the girl is bottling up her hurt feelings). This motif indicates that she had gone through this harshness so many times, and the way the lyrics mend with this girl repeatedly turning to face the screen with a sombre look as the chorus sings “Say, can’t you try a bit more to understand? I’ve run out of the energy I’ve counted on,” speaks volumes, and is one of the main reasons I love this song so much.
That said, it doesn’t mean that the introverted girl doesn’t want to talk and share her opinion on the other classmate’s topic. The lyrics, “Do you think so? What do you think?” is sung repeatedly, and I usually interpret this as both part of her inner thoughts and/or the classmate repeatedly nudging her to say something. The crux of the problem is that she has come to believe by “nature” of being a reserved person, that she can’t speak up. This is expressed after the second “Do you think so?” in the girl ironically singing: “Looks like that time has arrived where all my restraints are lifted and I’ll be free like the wind,” while expressing a few verses later, “Obviously, I’ll go the easier way, you know? O monsoon, take my voice away!,” rather than, “suck[ing] up her tears and causing trouble,” at some, “unfamiliar beach, along the gulf.” The word, “wind,” and “monsoon” is an excellent choice of words, because in this case “wind” is ironically ambiguous. A real-life example of this is, how we say we are “free like the wind,” while at the same time we say “we go wherever the wind takes us,” (like the lyric, “I’m only walking in the direction the clouds are drifting.”). The visualization of a monsoon, or wind carrying heavy rain coinciding with the girl’s tears and complacency to the wind, adds to this idea of submission to one’s feelings -- specifically hurtful feelings. The girl is trying to express that one is never free “like the wind” but rather, one will always be subjected to it, and that it is better to submit to the wind or your feelings rather than go against it. She even further expresses (and this is my favorite part of the song): “After all, the weather forecast said it looks like it’ll rain tomorrow, so maybe I should just surrender myself to the air drifting around here. Going against the rule of nature isn’t being eco. It’s not even a form of ego,” meaning that going against her reserved behavior isn’t practical nor will it give her more self-esteem because of what she constantly feels every time this type of conversation reaches her. She constantly feels hurt.
I believe mainly that this “restraint by nature” is because of her social anxiety and perhaps the thought of being shut down whenever she mentions her own views. It’s shown blatantly clear that she had experienced being shut out so many times with the repetition of the music video, showing restraint to not show any feelings that might be incriminating to herself (“Someday the squall is going to come. Whether it’s happiness or sadness is the most secret of secrets.”). The girl even shows to try to break this repetition, sometimes uttering one-syllable words, while looking at the viewer, or even indicating that she was going to speak after the lyrics: “Do you think so? What do you think? I do. I think so--that’s what I’m going to say,” and then immediately closing her mouth with a small “hm,” almost like a whimper.
I think this song is a wonderful representation of how it feels to be considered the quiet and reserved one in school, for several reasons:
1. You feel that any conversation is a risk of being shut out by others,
2. You feel that this is how you should feel rather than putting on a happy face and pretending everything is okay.
3. While this feeling is natural, at the same time, it blocks how you truly feel: how you want to cry your heart out on a deserted island, while at the same time longing for a hug, comfort, or especially just a single nice, friendly conversation.
As for the choice of title: Pascal Beats, I believe, since wind is a common word in this song, the word “Pascal” correlates to wind pressure, perhaps symbolizing the peer pressure of the girl wanting to speak her views, and the word “Beats” correlates to the physical phenomena of two sound waves at different frequencies clashing with one another, perhaps symbolizing the girl and the classmate being at “two different frequencies.” “Beats” also correlates with wind because sound can either travel faster with the wind or slower against the wind.

I live how aggressive the instrumentals are despite the chorus being “simple” or in a sense not too overcomplex. It’s clear there was a lot of thoughts put behind the chords of the song yet it still manages to feel overpowering without being overwhelming.
