Metallica - Creeping Death (Guitar Cover)

- Опубліковано 27 бер 2012
- Hey guys,
This is my cover of Metallica's Creeping Death. This is yet another song from Ride the Lightning that has fast tempos, aggressive rhythms and a speedy solo. This song has a large amount of downpicking, and the solo's even got some sweep picking!
Overall, another great Metallica song that was loads of fun to learn and play.
Guitars were tuned a 1/4 step up.
Enjoy!

Awesome man
Nah. Not perfect but good
3:40 still the coolest riff ever
justin janz kirk wrote that when he was just 16
I completely agree. It has always been one of my favorite bad ass riffs ever. The open E string is such a mean sound.

*best solo ever
heaviest
I had a lot of fun pretending the armrest was ur head
jajajajjaja
Alien plays the guitar!
are you serioussss? i just ripped a hot 1 this comment killed me!!!!!
TheGrassyDirtBlock I thought the same thing while watching the whole video. xD
I don't see it
You know its gonna be good when the video's in black and white.

plot twist: that’s the actually colors that make up him and his room and belongings
imaging downstroking an entire concert
I won't cause If i would do that my arm would hurt so much just from thinking about that
I already fear Master of Puppets on it's own tbh. :D
Low Spec Gamer I played all of the master album all down picks besides when needed for alternate picking i allways down pick
@@dylanvogel4503 same
Dylan Vogel i can downpick melodies up to at least 230bpm, but for some reason I have trouble down picking a low e power chord for extended periods of time. But practice will fix it!
I downstroke on other things
Absolutely no difference between the original and this, pure perfection.
advanceddarkness3 No difference between the original and this is fucking boring...
Lucas Clavijo I know that He played this very well, but what give me listening the cover, when they is note per note same as a original...
because he didn't find backing track without original guitars. You hear James, Kirk, and his 2 guitars at same time :D
GRZYBeeeKK dumbass it’s a cover
Cristian Soto Morales especially the end of it, it had the wrong notes before the bend and the bend was a bit off, the rhythm was pretty good though
I have NEVER seen anyone literally learn every single part of this song. It’s been said a bajillion times already, but I’m gonna say it again. This has got to be the best cover I’ve ever seen. The band themselves would be extremely proud. I know i would be.
In the mean time, excuse me while I go back to trying to pick my jaw up off the floor.
Practice/learn sweep picking, then just practice the solo a lot! It's a good idea to isolate the tougher parts of the solo and practice them individually, then play the entire thing. Hope that helps!
The best Creeping Death cover I have seen, great job and I love this song and you play it so perfect!!

Well I officially love this channel based on the fact he plays the best Metallica I've ever heard... amazing.
Proof that standard tuning can also be heavy
@@weirdough161 Standard tuning is THE heaviest, all others are fun and maybe a bit more evil sounding, but standard tuning is the best!
I'm not that sure, but this song proves that Standard E can be heavy
@@weirdough161 Well most of the world guitarists are in standard right now, so in the combined weight of tunings standard is a winner!
Jk, of course, but in standard tuning riffs can be much faster without ruining the sound quality, they can go really high up as well while still having the lowest point at low e, like I dont know, standard is the best tuning, very versatile, very heavy if used right.

4:24 My favourite part of the entire song.
This is the best Creeping Death cover of all UA-cam covers...!!!
Not only the cover was crystal smooth but the guitar tone sounds killer too!
This has got to be one of the cleanest and tightest played covers I've ever seen on youtube, and that's saying a lot.
You killed it man!
I used a Digitech Rp1000, and the preset I used was a model of a JCM 800 with just a tad of chorus mixed in. Hope that helps!
I play by ear and use tabs from Ultimate Guitar! But nowadays I try to figure out songs more by ear, because it is a much better skill to have in the long run :)
Hope that helps!
your covers are just perfect, sound is just amaizing
Ya know ... as I’ve commented once before, but I still keep coming back to this just as amazed as I was the first time. And it makes me realize how much I miss it. As a musician myself (guitar and bass) inspired by Papa Het ... it’s both physically and emotionally painful trying to play now. Unfortunately my wrists and areas of my hands have developed carpal tunnel and arthritis respectively. Being the hard picker I am, the arthritis makes it difficult to keep hold of the pick because I have to keep so much pressure on it. And the carpal tunnel has affected my speed and picking accuracy. At one point, I could play this song (as well as many others) right along with the album with no difficulty. Now it’s all I can do to even get through Enter Sandman sometimes. But, thank the Lord, it’s gotten better and my playing is slowly getting back to where it used to be, or at least somewhat. For me music is my way to speak and show emotion, ironically the same as Hetfield. And losing that capability is very hard on someone that’s as passionate about music as I am, or anyone else for that matter.
Keep doing what you do man. Keep being more inspiration for guys like me to keep picking up that ax and plugging in. And hopefully someday I’ll be back to 100% again.
TheRustyRailz You’s a badass \m/
GrooveMetalBruh\m/ thanks man. The kind compliment means a lot. It’s kind things like that, that will inspire me to keep picking up my guitar and keep pushing through.
TheRustyRailz I believe in you man

Same
Me too m8 Im still trying to play this part but, dunno how to get guitar sound like him, propably I have to record kirks part than play James part :/// I'm beginner so xDD
I like the rhythm chords in this section
I've been playing for around 3.5 years!
Man, I just wanna say thank you so much! Every time I got some doubt about any Metallica song I watch one of your videos and you're always 100% wright on the song! This intro, I always did different ways and never find some good transcription but you always know the right way!
Metallica were indeed the definitive metal band in the 80s.
Others were there with them but they found the balance between heavyness, melody and attitude that no one could while evolving at the same time. Only great artists can do that.
Dude your tone is on point...Amazing cover overall ❤️❤️
this is the best cover I've ever seen
Outstanding...one of the best covers of this song I've seen. Great playing!
The best cover I've seen so far, well done, man. Rock on.
amazing tone
I get a hand cramp just WATCHING you downstroke that fast..
Another great cover man. Thank you for uploading another amazing video. Your performances are always flawless.
First time I heard this song was the first time I heard Metallica. It was 1988, and this song was the first in that week's local radio metal show. Creeping Death blew me away, and when I got the album, I couldn't believe how much I loved the songs. Well written, tightly played, intricate and powerful. Thank you for doing such excellent covers from this amazing album.
Perfect. No better cover out there.
Perfect solo! Master!
This is the best cover of this song on UA-cam. Good work, man.
Thank you, this is awesome. It's amazing how good you play and your video also helped me to learn playing this song 🤘❤️🔥🎸

Best Metallica cover I have ever seen
Please, tell me you're in a band! Don't waste that talent, dude. You got it.
holy shit.. i wish ill be able to play like this.. 6 months into playing guitar :P you are awesome
FesojNagod Just keep at it and you'll be playing like this before you know it :)
TheFenderrocker before i know it, yeah right :P i mostly try to play songs by MUSE but metallica is definitly on my "to learn" list aswell, just keep on practising i guess, you are awesome btw :p
FesojNagod With less than a year (8 months or somewhere there) i learned a lot of Metallica songs, you just gotta have the endurance, later you can do the solos (i am learning them again but now with solos).
Oh and if you play Metallica don't get used to just downpicking, i know Hetfield does that but i recommend to do all downpicking once you've got alternate learned.
+FesojNagod year and a half, rythem guitar is a piece of cake...but i play like 4 hours a day sooo
+FesojNagod 6 months passed
One of the better covers on UA-cam! Nice work on the solo dude!

TheFenderrocker How did you start?
How can anyone even dislike this? Perfection!
Just gotta say ! What a perfect cover ! You killed it! So impressive!
I think I remember saying Hetfield something like "you just need one thing you can do like no one else" or something. Guess downstrumming like a crazy bastard is this one thing. Well done!

Just eliminate the mids, a lot of gain and bass, and you can't go wrong 😂
Just awesome! Congrats man!!!
Great job! I've been learning the rhythm parts for this awsome song with the help of tabs. Im trying to brush up on the chorus and after watching you play that part, I'm now able to play it! Thanks alot;) 🤘🏻

Perfect cover dude! Keep it up!
Great job bro! awesome cover.. One of the greatest songs created!!
Bra fucking vo
I can't finish that song, my arm get tired :( what am I doing wrong ?? 🤔
just keep practicing so your muscles wont hurt it will take time
Thanks, I thought I was doing something wrong xD
I had the same thing but now I can play it without getting tired
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Alekey09 you just need to practice as much as you can. This year i played my first song, recorded it and a few more, and practiced solo and downpicking. I have never played a solo in all these years and in one week i nailed it auhaha. About the dpwnpickkng, i kinda need to start and make it automatic, because if i put all my effort only on it while playing, i 'll get tired. So try to get used to it without getting your arm tired. Think about it like you were bouncing a basketball auhhahhuahua
Awesome. Love it
u inspired me to go play more and more man!
I learned the tabs for this song its my fav
I couldnt play it but now i can ! TYSM
That main riff is so hard for me, my wrist cant do all the downpicking ;(
practice and try not to force
practice to a metronome, set it to a speed where its not too fast. 100 or 90bpm works really good for downpicking. at least 3-5 minutes daily should speed up your downpicking. and remember, if your wrist burns after the exercise, slow it down a bit. hope i helped!
Clayve Just practice slowly at first and build up speed gradually, you'll get to the song's speed before you know it :)
thanks man.
very true
Damn good job covering that song. It's one of my all time favorites. Great job, keep up the good work.
Great job Albert
I think this is the best cover on UA-cam for this song ! :)
