At long last a real baker who provides lovely recipes. We have Yorkshire pudding the way Yorkshire folk traditionally eat them. My husband’s Grandmother showed me how to make Yorkshire pudding 55 years ago. Lovely served with real gravy and roasted beef. Yummy.

So good to see you back, and especially with good old Yorkshire Puddings (the real ones.... ;-)! (Yes, I'm a Yorkshire lass). I can remember back in the day that Yorkshire puddings were served as a first course with gravy, before the traditional Sunday roast and veg. It was a way of filling up the hungry tummies, when meat was expensive. To be honest, for me that was the best part of the meal! Wallowing in happy nostalgic memories now, as I usually do when watching one of your videos 🙂

Mr Paul--you're looking so fit and well! Just lovely to see your joy, and I'm so grateful for this recipe. I've yearned for proper Yorkshire puddings, but nothing I've tried was right. You're right--every tutorial shows some fancypants beating the stuffing out of the batter as if they wanted souffles. These are perfect! And I'd expect nothing less from your kitchen.

Well I'll go to hell!, my granny used to have a tablespoon that was worn out with beating, But then again she used a slightly different method. 1 heaped tablespoon of plain flour to an egg, mix. Add milk and a pinch of salt to get the right fluidity, then beat the hell out of it! but she put more batter in each tin (and got a soft bottom). The oven was set at max (220C+)with a good teaspoon of dripping in each tin and the batter was not added until the tins were smoking. I still use this method but use a hand blender to beat the mix.... I love em! Thank you for showing us a different method and style!

I have one of those tins, that I brought here from England to Thailand over thirty years ago. When there was only three in the family it was fine. Mr. Paul, first I would like to wish you a very speedy full recovery from your terrible accident. You're obviously a very strong man! Second, thank you so much for this recipe. Yum! I love Yorkshire Pudding. The last time I ate this was when I was visiting a friend who lives in Bournemouth. It was sooooo good. I'm going to order the tin, and when I receive it, I will follow your directions exactly. I'll also make the onion gravy. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thank you so much, and get some rest. Gloria from Montréal.

Paul, my mum used to make a fantastic deep pan Yorkshire pudding, but I only ever remember her using one egg. I know that you can get anything to rise if you bang in six eggs, but mum only ever used one, the sides were very crispy and the base was all soggy, but the taste was absolutely fantastic, and of course, made with beef dripping

Hello Mr. Paul . Lovely to hear you‘re from Leeds; I too am a Leeds Loiner! I was told by my Mum, back in the day, to put the eggs in first, one at a time and then add milk/water gradually too. Mine always look pretty much the same as yours, so maybe it doesn‘t make that much difference! Thanks for your recipes. Glad your fit and rearing to go again!

Hi Susan, yes, my stepfather had 5 pork butchers shops in Leeds, we had a small shop and a manufactory behind in Beeston Hill, one at the bottom of the Mecca arcade in Vicar lane, one next door to M&S and one next door to C&A and one in Cemetery road Beeston, then I had my first bakery on Roseville Road. As for the Yorkshire's I've tried all ways and it make no difference how you mux the ingredient.
