What a nice video. The scenery is amazing and the cruising awesome. This trip up the Champlain canal to the lake is what cruising is all about. Thanks for sharing your time and trip with us. It is appreciated.
Hi Gary, you're right, this pleasant cruise is what it's all about with amazing scenery, a fun dinghy ride and a quiet anchorage! We appreciate you following our journey.😎
Wow! That was an awesome and beautiful cruise on the Champlain Canal and enjoyed the dinghy ride up the La Chute River. The scenery was just spectacular! The fort was pretty neat also.
You are correct it is beautiful country Thank you for sharing your trip with us. When you finished the loop I hope you will continue sharing your boating life with us. Thank you
Hi Thomas, glad you enjoyed this beautiful area of Lake Champlain! Certainly if there is interest we will continue to share our adventures. Thank you so much for following our journey and stay tuned... we still have a lot more to share!😎
Hi Tom, so sorry to hear you are in the hospital.😢 But glad you enjoyed this episode and hopefully it lifted your spirits. We still have a lot more episodes to share for this journey and we’re excited to share them with you! We hope you feel better soon.😎
What an easy run and a beautiful valley this trip was. Never been to that part of NY but it seems well worth the trip. The falls were a real treat. Another bright spot in your loop scrapbook. Enjoy
It was so nice travelling through this area in May, not too hot and not too busy. Such a beautiful part of NY and it was neat to dinghy into Ticonderoga and see the falls. Thanks so much for watching Buck!😎
Nice video. Right above The Whitehall lock at the marina on the right is a nice gourmet restaurant. We stay at the marina when up that way just to eat there. when you get through that long, long ride up to the main part of Lake Champlain Burlington is always A nice stop. Hate the walk up the steep hill to town 😅
Hi Leslie, thanks for your kind comments.😊 We went past that marina but didn’t stop. You’ll see us stop at Burlington in the next episode! We loved the farmer’s market. Thanks for watching😎
Hi DerJaeger, we travelled this area in May, just after the locks opened. The water levels were likely flooded due to spring run-off. I imagine the levels drop over the summer months. Regardless, the trees looked healthy and the area was very beautiful. Thanks for watching!😎
Love it! We closed on our boat last weekend and start just north of the Chicago inlet, in 1 month! Your videos are so smooth! Do you have a list of camera equipment you used?❤
Hi Mark & Mel, So exciting for you… congratulations! All I use is my iPhone and sometimes a lapel mic when it’s windy, that’s it! Thanks so much for following our journey.😎
Yes the water level seemed high. We cruised through this area in May so there must have been spring run-off. I imagine it’s lower now. Thanks for watching!😎
Hi Paul, we topped up our diesel at Cape May, tried to at Shady Harbor Marina on the Hudson River (but they had an issue at the time so we couldn’t) and we filled up again at Ferry Dock Marina in Burlington, VT on Lake Champlain. We weren’t even close to running out of fuel but we like to keep the tanks topped up, especially if the price is good! 😎
Thanks for your reply. I am a delivery captain and am always interested in fuel stops. I recently delivered a Mainship 39 down the Hudson to Liberty Landing Marina so I did your journey in reverse. Stay safe. I thoroughly enjoy your posts.
It was a great spot to anchor for the night. Not many loopers go the Lake Champlain route and we enjoyed this area very much. Ticonderoga is one of many forts in the US. Thanks for watching Peter.😎
Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video.
Our pleasure! Thanks for following along Andrew.😎

Good fishing at the mouth of the Lachute River in Ticonderoga.

I have eaten at Historic Grounds on several road trips through Whitehall. It is the nicest restaurant in town.
Good food and great to support local. Thanks for watching!😃
Looks like high water, the trees and banks look flooded.

Was the water level high? Just curious based on some of the trees in the water

Where did you get fuel on the way to Lake Champlain?

The price of fuel is better in the USA. Thanks for watching and happy holidays!😎
Anchor by a fort? How ignorant? Ticonderoga… America’s fort
