- Many of the items featured on our list today appear on other lists with a very negative tone attached to them, like you’ve been lied to your whole life, or can you believe it’s actually made from x, y, z… but in reality, many of the items are made from recycled products, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! This isn’t an invitation for you to go home and cut through things to see what they’re made of though, let us do that for you!

13 - Safety First…
Probably one of the more unexpected interiors has to be the inside of this hair tie! Once the green covering began to unravel, a condom was revealed. These images were actually investigated by Snopes, and they confirmed the story. Certain hair ties made in Dongguan and Guangzhou were made using defective condoms, not used obviously! It’s usually a combination of a rubber band and an eraser type of material, in fact it can actually erase pencil if you have the time to try!
12 - If all else fails…
So, what do you do with all those soda’s featuring Shaq’s face that didn’t sell? You stick Arnold Palmer on them, and hope for the best! No, I’m not sure if that’s the actual reason, but it’s a sound theory. Arnold Palmer was an American golfer, and his face has been used on the Arnold Palmer, which is the name of a beverage made from iced tea and lemonade.
11 - Check Mate…
This knight from a chess set has been weighted down using old dice. This is definitely not the norm though, and could just be this particular company that used old stock to fill the gaps!
10 - Looks can be deceiving…
Similar to our earlier story about the 6-vault batteries, when you open up a 9-vault battery, you find what appears to be 6 AAA batteries. Now, they do look a lot like regular AAA batteries, but they are in fact 3.5mm bigger, but it’s been said you can use AAA batteries to replace them if you needed to

9 - Reveal yourself…
Someone went to a great a deal of effort to slice open a bowling ball. Not the tenpin one mind you, but a lawn bowls one. Much has changed since lawn bowls was first played in the 13th century, and these balls used to be weighed down on one side of the ball. They don’t do that anymore, and the ball is made from melamine, with one weight throughout.
8 - Shake, Rattle and Roll…
Don’t you love that sound of shaking a tin of spray paint. You can hear the little ball inside, clanging against the tin, making a wonderful sound. It also evokes a bit of excitement, because you’re obviously about to begin a project of some sort. Isn’t it a tad disappointing to learn that it’s just a marble inside?
7 - Two for the price of one…
Perhaps it worked out too costly to make new, longer handled screw drivers from scratch, and this was the cheaper option, I’m really not sure - but it is a bit unusual to find one screwdriver hiding inside another, isn’t it?
6 - High-rollers…
Dice are generally made with plastic inside a little mold, but how this dice ended up being coated with a layer of blue is a bit of a mystery. This dice cracked, revealing a white dice trapped inside. Here’s two interesting facts about dice you may not be aware of… The dots are actually called pips and they’re believed to have been invented in China.
5 - Not the best quality…
When you buy a desk or table, at the very least you expect the product to made from wood. Call me crazy, but you kind of have an expectation that the product will be durable, sturdy and last a little while. Well, that may not always be the case as highlighted by this consumer. His table was made from cardboard. I’d love to know how much he paid for it, wouldn’t you?
4 - Perfect Fit…
Although it makes sense, I guess it’s not something we really give much thought to. Someone has highlighted the fact that inside his SD card, was a micro SD card. What’s nice about having this bit of information, if you ever have a need for a micro SD, you can just use this one!
3 - Half Time…
Since we’ve had a look at some of the unexpected interiors of some of our everyday products, we’ll throw in a few cross-sections of other interesting products, for example, how amazing does a cigar look when it’s sliced in half? At first glance you would assume it’s cork, but it’s actually so tightly stuffed with dried and fermented tobacco leaf, that it just looks like cork.
2 - A thing of beauty…

I had a stuffed bear, and one day my dog got to it. I was sad, but than I found 3 stuffed cats and a stuffed sheep in it. I kept them, but bought a new bear too. I got curios and cut it open a tiny hole, and there were no other animals in it. Oo I have no idea why my first one did.
Tunas used to make me constipated when I was little, I still love them though.
Some of these supposedly go further. It's like a Matryoshka doll with a whole series of little joke characters inside.

I thought it was common to know that in paint sprays, a little marble is used, so when u shake the paint spray it softens the paint inside the bottle, so it could come out smoothly.
They use steel balls used in ball bearings, not glass marbles, they could shatter. Someone put a marble out beside the can for dramatics.
Ron Taylor they use glass marbles all the time. You would have to shake that thing so hard to shatter the ball that it would be the least of your worries.
@@hodgepodgeenginerd1258 put a magnet on the bottom of any spray can and the ball will stick to it. I use this method all the time when im going out because it keeps the cans from rattling around in my bag and making a bunch of noise
Lyon maybe things have changed since i used to use spray paint a lot but i know they used to use marbles all the time.
Probably depends on what is inside the can. If it is paint, you can probably use a steel ball or other metal. If it is something more reactive to metal, like certain cleaners, the metal ball may not be safe and glass may be needed.

Any ordinary person would expect that even inexpensive shelves and/or tables be made from a COMPRESSED material, be it wood pulp or cardboard. I don't know anyone who wants to buy anything for ordinary use (key words) with the construct shown in this video. Personally, I would be livid.
Gee Lahrie all doors and cheap tables are made from that. Any table that has. A plywood top. It’s very sturdy. I had a computer desk for over ten years that was plywood. Did the job with zero problems. You will find unless it’s chipboard then you get this.

Wow a micro SD card inside a SD card converter.... What a surprise. I get the feeling some people don't know what "converter" means
Converters modify one standard to another (E.G. NTSC to PAL)
Adapters take one plug and wire it to a different incomplatible plug with the same standard (E.G. A phone charger or a RCA to BNC connector)
Regardless of whether it's called a "converter" or "adapter" (though, I believe "adapter" is correct), you can see the edge next to the micro SD card where there's a space where the raised edge is lacking so that when you need to use a micro SD card but only have a standard-sized SD reader/slot on whatever device you're using, you can simply insert the micro SD card into the standard SD card adapter. I'm thinking the reason they showed it this way without showing the label on the outside of either piece was because it said "micro SD adapter" on the outside. Often times when you buy a microSD card there will be an adapter such as this one included in the same package. So, like if I were to pull my micro SD card out of my phone or tablet or whatever else and needed to review the info on my computer, which only has a standard size SD slot, it's easy enough to put the micro SD card into the adapter and then plug the adapter into the SD slot on my computer to alter, review, rearrange, reformat, or even delete info from the micro SD card. When I first started using a micro SD in my phone and needed access to photos or whatever else I may have store on it, I always kept the adapter in my wallet because it's one of the things I'm NEVER without, either on my person or nearby (in my house, purse, vehicle, etc.). It proved to be extremely useful many times and I never had to tear anything apart to find it when it was needed.

Here's another fact about dice: whichever number you roll, the number on the bottom will be the whichever will add to the top to equal 7. This works with every roll as the numbers are across from the number that will equal 7. Meaning: 1 is across from 6, 2 is across from 5 and 3 is across from 4.

Tom Turnbull I had a mini USB stick that had a micro SD inside. I had to break the cover to get it out so it wasn't just an adapter.
That has to be an odd item to have was it Chinese manufacture, there have been fake hard drives that had weights inside and a memory card instead of the drive.

🔵 The packing material you're talking about is actually made of cornstarch!... cornstarch is used for everything from thickening gravy to making puddings and sauces, it will dissolve in your mouth in moments leaving no taste really of any kind whatsoever, but they say you shouldn't eat the packing version because they are not certified as a food product even though they are made of vegetable matter, and if you saw how that stuff was kept in the shipping Department of the factory it came from you definitely would not put it in your mouth! The unfortunate problem is that most shippers use the stuff wrong, it's supposed to go in a secondary bag so in case the package gets wet this stuff doesn't turn into a huge glop of slime! But 98% of Packers use this stuff the same way others use Styrofoam 'Peanuts' and just put them in the box around the object being shipped without them being in a bag first.
I once freaked out some friends of mine who received a package from UPS while I was at their house, and when they opened the package I took the packing material out and started munching on it, they freaked out because they thought I was eating styrofoam!...Hehheh.

Screw driver handle inserts are common place to increase the handle diameter for easy and adding torque for turning control!
So the desk is actually a 15$ ikea desk, it’s a cheap yet very sturdy desk, it’s like a honeycomb design so it’s very strong, I actually use one as a desk for my studies, there is solid wood where you screw in the legs aswell. I think the desk is called the linmon

Suddenly I'm remembering this movie where someone was smuggling drugs by having it shaped as a statue of the Madonna; and when it wound up accidentally stuck in a church, the drugs began to "sweat"...making it look like the Madonna was crying. 6:08 Oh man. Every time I look at a spray paint can I have a chuckle. I used to work with this old (Russian?) guy called Benny. One day I went to throw away a can and he said "No! Bring it to me, I want the jewel". Perplexed I asked him what he meant and I realised he was after the marble. Fast track about a month and one day I didn't come into work. The next day the service room area has a shit load of yellow paint sprayed across it. The reason he cut the super glue enclosure in half is because that kind of glue comes container that has press buttons on the side that dispense the glue. At some point the glue stops coming out but that doesn't mean there isn't any in there. Cut it off or take it apart and get more glue for your money. It's a poor design that is suppose to make people think they are getting more glue for the money because the enclure is so large, but it is empty and dispenses poorly.

#7 is probably part of a cheap screwdriver kit. I had one many years ago just like it. There were several small screwdrivers with different colored handles,and a hollow black handle that could slip over them,for more twisting leverage. Eventually one of the screwdrivers got stuck inside the handle,and I could never get it back out.

9v batteries are filled with AAAA batteries. Regular chemistry, that is to say non-rechargeable AAAA batteries have a normal voltage of 1.5. 1.5 x 6 is 9v. This is normal.

Some have 6 AAAA batteries, and some have a stack of flat rectangular cells, which may be wrapped in foil or paper instead of metal. I think it is more common for zinc-carbon and zinc-chloride to have those flat cells as they almost always do, and alkaline are more likely to have aaaa cells. I've seen one with AAAA cells made backwards, that is the pointy end was negative and flat end was positive, so be careful with that. I also think that ones marked as 6LR61 have AAAA cells, as they are also called LR61, and 6F22 ones have those blobby flat cells. Rechargeable have either flat cells that are actually encapsulated and look like elongated coin cells, or 1/3AAA cells, and if I remember correctly, there is 7 of them due to lower voltage of ni-cd and ni-mh cells. The small 12V batteries like 23A or 27A also contain coin cells of the types LR932 and LR632. Still, the best thing is that many lithium-ion battery packs including a very large percentage of non-slim power banks, newer power tool batteries and older laptop batteries, and even some electric vehicle batteries have 18650's inside, so that they can be easily and cheaply replaced or sourced from those.

This may be true... and these days I can certainly believe that thrift stores are overpricing, as are may yard sales who believe they are running a retail store. However, lets remember that the salvation army helps so many people, so you are contributing to this, by shopping there. This is the company's CEO takes the lowest pay percentage compared to other charities, they help and house the homeless, they provide social services, they provide emergency assistance, and the list goes on. They are also the only organisation who jumped to help Jews during and after the war. Don't blame the organization for a stupid price tag by one dumb employee.
