I used to work at Savers, and we had a "bag wall" which was basically the junk from the bottom of boxes. All bags were .99 cents. So I bought one that had a bunch in foreign currency in it... The ladies in the back thought it was play money. They're was currency from about seven different places. Went to Wells Fargo on my lunch break, they had to pull out books to identify each one, but I ended up cashing in for $873 🤷🏽♀️ best day ever!!!
So your saying we can take foreign money to the banks they will look at it and give us face value??? Or can we cash it there at the bank???? I have tons of them from all over the world
I was at an antique mall in Phoenix. I had been wanting a tiny cross to wear. I saw one in a case and bought is for $15. I wanted to get it cleaned, so I went to a local jewelry store. I thought it was sterling with crystals. Turns out it was white gold and diamonds and worth $650!
I can't remember how long ago it was but during one Christmas, a Goodwill worker found $5,000 in cash in the pocket of some pants she was sorting through. She informed her supervisor of what she had found. The supervisor told her to keep the money because the donor should have gone through the pockets before donating the pants. I'm sure the woman was ecstatic considering it was just before Christmas when she found the money.
I would't say it was a thrift store find but my mom spent 25 dollars on a harmonic and harmonica lessons set on Amazon. Turns out she accidentally spent 250. So she tried to get the item returned... but it was already sent so she'd have to wait for it to arrive before sending it back. When it finally did arrive it wasn't a harmonica... it was a watch... in a really really nice box. so I looked it up online and found out it was worth 1,600 dollars. So she called Amazon and they said if she had received the item by mistake, she could keep it. They also refunded her the 250 from the harmonica. I don't know what I find more funny... that my mom spent 250 on harmonica lessons and got a 1,600 dollar watch or that someone was expecting a 1,600 dollar watch and got 250$ worth of harmonica lessons instead.
How is there only 1 reply for this story with great comedic timing at the end, and 100 replies for the guy who didn't have pants when he got out of jail
Living the farm Life, I've done that before lol. Give things away, not really thinking about any vintage value at all until they tell me they sold it. Here is my life.......I saw a guy looking into trash can at a small strip mall, I thought he was drinking out of used soda cups.......it appeared as though he was. I gave him $10 to buy himself a meal of his own and as I sat in my car, he walked over to an ATM machine and DEPOSITED my $10 in his account! I saw it with my own eyes and he got his receipt and everything. I'm assuming he was faking the act of drinking the thrown away sodas just for the show. I should have confronted him, but didn't. He probably had more money than I do.
Deborah Grinnell, yeah you can never trust beggars you never know if there really “homeless”. Which Is sad because some people really need a few extra bucks!
I found $300 inside a money belt. I didn’t even think to look inside the belt until I had already bought it and was in the car. I was excited to see a green dollar bill inside the zippered pouch, thinking I had gotten a dollar. The more I looked, the more I found. I ended up giving most of it to a family who had been wiped out by hurricane Harvey. When you find gifts like that, during times of hardship, they are to be given away to those less fortunate.
I bought a pair of pants once. Got home put them on. Went to straighten the pockets out. And pulled out a crumbled up 10. Then a 20 then 3 more 20's and the other pocket had a hundred in it. I had just got out of jail. It was my last 4 dollars i had for the pants.
10 years ago my Mom gave me money to go thrifting for my birthday since it's something I've always enjoyed no matter how much money I make. I purchased a Louis Vuitton train case for $20 at a 1 off thrift store (not a chain store) that had no idea that little train case was worth several thousand. It was the real deal. I still tease my Mom about it & ask when she is planning to outdo herself with one of my next gifts. I still have it & use it for my makeup whenever I travel. It's still in great shape. Have a great day!
What's your next vacation? I'll meet you there. .no reason at all. But glad you shared you still walk/drive around with thousand of dollars on you. Nice of you to mention that publicly.
I bought a G.I. Joe toy at a thrift shop for $5.50. I sold it on line for $250.00 At the same store I found 2 brand new Armani suits for $20.00 each and a brand new pair of vintage Levi 501 button fly jeans. The tags still on, read 1987. I paid $6.00 for them and sold them online for $300.00. The Armani suits, I kept. The fit me perfectly.
About 12 years ago, in a secondhand store in Massachusetts, I found a vinyl record of "Color Me Barbra" by Barbra Streisand. I bought it for a friend, who's a big fan, for only $.50. I gave it to her, and when she took the record out, we found it was signed. She took it to a memorabilia expert who authenticated it. It was real. It's worth about $3,000. My friend framed it, saying she was going to keep it, and it would later become her 'Retirement policy'. Best $.50 I ever spent!
This just made me want to go to my local thrift shops and start looking for uniquely cool stuff... Just that i cant, thanks to all thrift shops being closed because of covid-19
Using the Time Value of Money Principle she could have invested that $9 million in the Stock Market and would have way more than the $50 million she is now asking. Remember not so long ago Ford Motor Company stock was selling for $1 and Amazon was just starting out at $60.
And she could have been enjoying a cruise ship. on vacation with family or a new man. Just greedy. Then she passes away. Never seeing a penny from an Item you paid nearly nothing for. Your a fool lady. NO POCKETS IN A COFFIN
There is some people out there that judge thrift stores, but thrift stores sell good things for really cheap and sometimes they are really valuable. 😃😃😃😃😃
The 3 amigos Amigos Yes Amigos, I love thrift shopping! But have to admit, my friend and I used to do it, wayyy before it was trendy & fashionable to do it, lol! As single Mums, we kind of didn't have much choice, a lot of the time. But, we genuinely enjoy vintage, second hand & "accidental antique" anyway, haha. We call it "Op Shopping" over here (Australia). "Op", is short for Opportunity. Our kids weren't very impressed when they were younger, but now they're hooked on Op Shops too! 🤣😂🤣
I once inherited a bunch of old Nasa stuff. Found an ID badge with a famous head of security's signature on it during one of the early missions. Sold it for 1k.
I bought a pair of $500., Davis Clark, airplane, pilot headphones, in a thrift shop for $1.50. They were in a box with other old stereo headphones. Obviously no one in the store knew what they were. When I went to the register to pay for them, I was told, "this is half price day and they are only $1.50.." Hallelujah!
Two good finds--found an old "plastic" looking necklace at Goodwill for $5.95. I could see each piece was distinctly different, so I realized it was hand-carved cherry amber. Sold it for $325. Found a tangle of plastic mardi-gras beads and in between them was a gold bracelet. I bought it for 25 cents and when I untangled it, there was a 14kt charm bracelet with two playboy charms on on it. Sold it for $315. Love thrift stores!
Hello my best deal occurred in the early 80's in Chicago at a flee market called " "Maxwell Street flee market" there was a box sitting in a table with all sorts of trinkets in it,most of it covered in goop, grease and wax. After going through the box with a stick I noticed a purple ring encrusted with wax and grease. I thought with a little cleaning it would be a pretty costume ring as I like purple. It turned out to be a 3 carat amethyst stone surrounded by 25 diamonds worth al little over 10,000 because of the color and the the diamonds. I enjoyed it and wore it for a couple is decades then passed it on to my daughter.... 💜 💍
@@campbellgies Why because I loved it and enjoyed it for over 20yrs then gave it to my daughter who has been enjoying it as well. It was never about the money. After finding out its worth I tried on 3 occasions to take it back to the woman I bought it from but she was never at the flee market at those times so I stopped trying as I didn't not live close to it......
so some people on this list, found items worth millions of dollars, but youre telling me the #2 spot is people finding images of themselves, and #1 is someone finding some money in a purse...
In a local thrift store in Eastern Kansas, on July 1, 2012, I bought an old card trick book. I was in my mid 50's, and this was a sentimental reminder of an interest I had as a young boy. I opened the book when I got it home, and saw that one of its first pages had a note of appreciation that was written to a woman named Irene. And I noted that the man who signed the note had a very unusual first name. I began reading the book, and it wasn't long before I encountered that same name again, in the text of the book! Dai Vernon. I did some research, and here is what I discovered: Dai Vernon was a very famous magician who both performed and lived at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles, California. And he had apparently given this card trick book, with it's note of appreciation, to Irene Larson, who was the co-owner of the Magic Castle! What was the book doing here? Irene was still alive, I discovered, though Dai Vernon had died in 1992. What's the book worth? Don't know and don't care, because I'll never sell it. And here's why: Dai Vernon's note to Irene Larson had made me think of myself and my wife. And exactly one year to the day after I bought that book, on July 1, 2013, my beautiful wife passed away. She had been injured in an accident. And she died at 52 years of age. There are 52 cards in a deck of cards.....God talks to me through synchronicites often, and they are sometimes even more amazing than this one. I've been blessed beyond imagination, and have been given the secrets of this Universe. If you're interested, give me a click and see where that can take you....
I found a box of brass fittings for a bar foot rail for $3.99. My wife said, "What are you going to do with those?" To which I replied "Watch and learn Sweetie." Went 5 blocks down the road and sold it at the scrap yard for $40.00. :) Then she wanted to go out to eat. Dang it!
Ma2swick.....Ha. You do understand about married women! Jasmine Woww suggested we were in a good mood after that. We were. But that doesn't mean my wife wants to have sex. Ever, ever, ever, ever.....................(insert Sponge Bob voice, "six hours later").......ever ever ever ever. My wife has bought into the idea that the man is expected to provide for the wife's needs and wants but for the husband to have any expectations is oppressive.
I love thrift shops! My best find so far was a $100 leather fringed Victoria's Secret backpack (brand new, price tag still attached) I got for around $5 at Goodwill. I've also got three Betsey Johnson purses from yard sales and flea markets over the years (one was brand new, tags still attached). Altogether I paid under $40 and they were worth over $300. I also have a 150+ year old ornate kerosene lamp that I bought at a garage sale a few years ago.
But not speaking for myself or about thrift stores but I went as a chaperone with my little brother on a field trip to a gemstone mining place when he was in the 5th grade. Everyone was panning the stones and dirt in the water when this kid in his class found a HUGE ruby. It turned out to be a real ruby. And it must have been very very valuable because it started a fuss. The employees at the gem stone mining place started gathering and talking amongst themselves. Then the next thing you know they tried to take it from him. But his mother was there and she wouldn’t let them have it. They actually called the law. It did not belong to the mining place. Because the boys mom had paid 30 dollars for the bucket of rocks he was panning and it was dirty and covered in dirt and crust like the other rocks. The police could not do anything about getting the stone from the boy. They then took the boy in the gift shop and were offering him to trade it for something. They were offering this boy 200 dollar gem stones that were polished already for this ruby. This ruby was about the size of a golf ball. His mother wouldn’t let him trade it because she thought it was worth more. And wanted to get it appraised. The staff of that store did every thing they could to get that ruby. They even called the owner who also looked like he was about to combust when he seen it. He even offered the boy 300 dollars in cash for it. But his mom wouldn’t allow it. After a whole day of commotion we left. And the boys Mom took it and had it polished and cut and appraised and it actually was very valuable. She sold it for 9,000 dollars. If she had not been there, they would have gotten that ruby from that little boy for free by scare tactics or got a very valuable gemstone for a 200 polished rock.
One day I went to Good Will and I came across a navy blue trench coat and I took it off the hanger and try it on and then I stuck my hand in the inside pocket and found $97.00 and a receipt from 1997 and I said thank you God
I once bought a suit for $20. Got it tailored, cleaned, wore it, and got it cleaned again. Then I went to a wedding where I was bored and thumbing the pocket and realized it had a little zipper in the pocket. I looked and there was a folded up hundred dollar bill inside.
I was shopping for a halloween costume and needed a trench coat, in my search I came across a big thick wool looking one and it was tagged at $20. Later I did the research on the brand and it was worth $1,200 cashmere and wool. I love shopping at thrift stores. I also got a vintage Canon camera for $10 and the lens alone was worth $150
2 color prints of my own German artist grandad's floral paintings in a va. goodwill store, 10 minutes after telling a 2nd hand store owner man about my artist grandad's art career, and my wish to find any prints that had never been fulfilled for over 45 years of searching...i went from that store to the goodwill...and there were the 2 prints that were prints of the 2 originals that my grandma hung on her apt. wall when i was a boy. I paid 2.99 each, and was stunned numb by the whole experience.
+Barbara Foster Thnx 4 that best of thoughts!!! 💖...need to dwell on that thought/fact...Couldn't have been a mere coincidence...and I studied Probability & Statistics once.

I also bought a wrought iron bed for my daughter at a goodwill for $60.00. When we were done with it, I did some research on it and found that it was made in California by a place that only custom makes the beds and I resold it for $350.00 to someone who had one as a kid.
I call my favorite thrift store my "wishing well". Not only have I decorated my home almost entirely with items from there , I actually met my future husband there too!!💜
I have found three $5 bills countless $1 bills and a hundred dollar bill aswell as a wallet with $280 in the past 3 years. I have also found 2 half dollars and 2 buffalo nickles (the old ones) but every time I buy a lottery ticket I lose lol
I have found some cash and some good books in thrift stores, though it'd be nice to find something worth MILLIONS!!! But the greatest Blessings I've gotten have come from cardboard boxes in the back of someone's truck or on the side of the road... MY DOGS!!!! THEY ARE MUTTS! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND THEY ARE PRICELESS!!! 🐕🐕🐕
The priceless part is that you have the insight to realise something most people never will. And I m sure your dogs appreciate the love you give them. You're blessed to have each other.
My all time best find was a 2.13 carat diamond earring that was wrapped in a tissue in the pocket of a coat. The diamond is worth $20 - $25 thousand dollars ❤️❤️ SCORE ❤️❤️
I found $2000 cash in a mens jacket I had bought at a thrift store once. I had it in my basement for 3 years and was going to give it away when I checked the pockets because the jacket seemed heavier than it looked. Another awesome find was a gilt handpainted 18th century snuffbox that was being sold as what looked like a set of coasters for 50 cents. I recognized it when I later saw it on a European version of antiques roadshow.
I went to goodwill to get a couple speakers for my garage and my fiancé found an $8000 dollar wedding dress, in the original cover with the tags still on it. It was double lucky because it was only out as a Halloween costume. Actually triple lucky, it was the dress my fiancé had been dreaming of for months but was way above our budget. It was a few sizes too big but the alterations were only $500, so total cost $545. There was actually another dress by the same designer, but we didn’t get it because we were in a bit of shock at our luck. We went back to get the other dress about 20 minutes later and it was gone. The lady behind us heard the conversation with the cashier and bought it. It’s a shame, we saved thousands of dollars and I was crazy with frustration at my own stupidity in not seeing the potential income the other dress could have been. Oh well, I got the girl.
How much? $160.00 or $160.000. Or $16.000 I didnt understand the numbers you wrote. But I know you didnt mean $160.00 or $160.000. a yr. Because thats not true around this State. Where you from?!
Aoi Kobayashi a lot of the good stuff ends up on Goodwill's on line auctions and some of their starting bids are way overpriced before shipping and handling.
My mom got my dad a pair of shorts from a good will last year sometime and one day my dad put them on and did some errands then when he got home he noticed something in his pocket and it was 500 dollars in 20 dollar bills.
I was browsing through the toys at a local Goodwill back in 2015 and came across some foam Bionicle weapons for a couple bucks each. Being a major Bionicle fan, I of course got them just so I could add them to my collection, but something told me to look them up (as at that point I wasn't even aware they existed) and discovered that the red one was worth about 40-ish dollars as it was a fairly rare item that was part of a limited release promotion at certain LEGO stores, but the blue one was so rare that no one had one to sell on any of the major sites, and the only bit of information I could dig up on it was that it was part of an even more exclusive promotion than the red one. Both are now hanging proudly on my wall.
I used to work at a charity, and someone donated their recently deceased mother “Ugly old handbag” she was struggling to carry it, it was ridiculously heavy... but she couldn’t figure out why, when we looked further into it, there were 9 10g gold bars and 12 1oz gold sovereigns stitched into the bottom of it...
Another way to look at it is ..... it must be a worthless reproduction because no one would donate something so valuable. And believe it or not there are a lot of American born people who may not know what it is or even why the 4th is a holiday. Some people use the expression "put your John Hancock there" Most have never seen his signature on the Declaration of Independence.
nope she thought she deserved 50 million for the painting. nothing but greed. heaven and hell do not exist. but when she dies. hell will pop into existance just for her greed
My son is pretty good at thrifting. He has two wool officer's coats, one Navy and one Air Force, that he bought for $20 apiece. When he researched them online they were going for $350. Not a thrift shop find but still pretty neat. Our neighbors were moving and gave us an old china cabinet the husband had in the garage he was using to hold his tools. I finally got around to checking it out online after I saw the furniture maker's name inside one of the drawers. Worth between $850-$1200!
I was volunteering at a local thrift store in Ireland and someone donated some old books of their mom who passed away. I found a thousand pounds in 10 pound notes stuck in one of the books as I was preparing to put them on the shelves. Unfortunately nobody knew the person who donated it so we could return it so the charity ended up keeping it after waiting two weeks for the person to perhaps come back. Imagine if you’d bought the book for 2€ only to find a thousand pounds. Jackpot!
My mom bought some vintage nature or science (I cant remember which ones) books at a thrift store, got to flipping trough them and there was 5 $20 bills in between the pages, they were kinda old bills too.
$100 jeans that I got for 5 bucks, $70 shorts that I got for 3 bucks, $120 khakis that I got for 10 bucks, and a antique doll for $300 that I got for 5 bucks :3
My Stepfather told me a story of how a friend of his was part of a play version of The Wizard of Oz, working with the costuming. He was asked to find a period-style jacket for the show and, after finding a suitable jacket, was surprised to find a label that simply read “Baum”. They had it checked and it was indeed a jacket that was once owned by the author himself, L. Frank Baum. I don’t know if the story is true, but I like to think it is.
@Raxynus, I'm pretty sure I saw that same story many years ago. I believe I read it in a newspaper article or magazine. I'm not sure as it's been a number of years. Along with the story was a photo of the jacket and another photograph of Baum wearing what appeared to be that same jacket.
Sometimes when I’m out thrifting, if I get hungry , I dumpster dive behind what ever Dollartree I pass and more times than not I find some unopened candy or chips. Just sayin’...
At the goodwill in reno nevada in 2013...thousands of pants on the racks and i picked the One....$267.50 in the pocket. I was looking for pants with pockets on the legs...and boom!! I was so happy...paid my car insurance and bought kfc!!!
My most valuable purchase was salmon pink jeans in absolutely great condition that cost only 3.50€ which is very cheap. At home I found wrinkled and washed 5€ bill in the pocket. I got new stylish pants and my money back in return - what a great deal! 😇
I bought a purse at Goodwill, I was eating at Denny’s with my bff. As I was reaching in to find my card I felt a sturdy round object. I couldn’t find a pocket that led to it. So I decided to cut the purse. 😏 after I did I found a golden ring with three real diamonds 💎
I bought an Hermes scarf for a dollar-sold it for a hundred. I’ve never stopped looked at scarves since and never found anything valuable again-ten years later!
I went with my dad to buy a watch and we saw a Rolex with the Original box we bought it for 25 dollars when we search the model it's price Was 65,000 dollars we never sold it and i still wear it.
The dude Was an old man bought it in 1968 he Was gifted that watch by a friend that the storie he Was in problems and needed money fast he Was selling it at 75 dollars but my father hustle the price because it wasn't working we bought it the bateries were dead we replace them and thats it.
Eriko 1414 Rolexes are mechanical watches. They don’t use batteries, you fuckin pud. It obviously wasn’t an OysterQuartz if it was 1968. Why lie to strangers on the internet?
I just started reselling my thrift finds and the first thing I found and sold was a 1996 space jam shirt with the tags still on it. $3 in store, got almost $50 on eBay.
The guy who purchased the Declaration of Independence, Mike Sparks.. is not who they have pictured. He is actually a Tennessee State Representative. He lives about 6 houses down from me and we grew up 2 houses away from him. He's a used car dealer and wrote a book. Just thought you folks would like that bit of information. He also doesn't like people knowing he made money from it but I've seen his story in several places including on Matt Santoro's page.. So, be sure not to mention it to anyone LOL!!
Kim C great find and I paid the weight only for a brand new with tags Victoria's secret purse! Most likely 1.00. Tags on it. $80.00 beautiful silver and gold purse with tassels
My second find was a Louis Vuitton bowling style bag. I bought it for $12, ended up going to Houston a month later, and had it authenticated, it was originally priced at $1200. I still have it, and that was ten years ago.
I was at the local Goodwill and noticed a sign that said "REWARD! $5,000 for a diamond necklace found inside a pair of hiking shoes" Apparently, someone had left/hidden a platinum and diamond necklace in a pair of old hiking shoes (to deter a burglar?) and they got donated. They tried to get the police and FBI involved to sequester the tapes to see who purchased the item, but it was a legal transaction and the purchaser had their right to privacy. Last time I checked, no one had come forward with the necklace... must have been worth 10 times the reward...
I found a really nice A2 leather bomber jacket at a local charity store for $6.00... since I already had one, I walked passed it twice before deciding to try it on and it fit me like a glove.... reached into the left inside pocket and pulled out 20 $1.00 bills... it was like the jacket wanted to go home with me even if it had to pay me... still my most favorite jacket and most worn jacket
I use to work at a thrift store, so this is cheating in a way. One day a truck came in to drop off the daily pick up’s. A Schwinn Sacrambler an early bmx bicycle was dropped off. I look over the bike & saw a flat tire on the back rim. Easy fix. I told my manager that I would like to buy the bike, she agreed that I could buy it. Workers get 50% off on items. Priced at $20, I paid $10 & was a happy camper. I go home to inspect the bike. Upon removing the back tire, I noticed the flat tube had a schwinn tube inside the rim. This bike was at least 15 years old at the time. I thought this bike must have been sitting in a garage unridden for years. Mostly original even tires. When I look at the bike on the internet for this bike. A picture just like mine is taken at the Bike Museum. I eventually sold the bike for $200 a great deal for the buyer or collector. The collector has a huge of collection of vintage bicycles that get rented out for movies & commercials. I’m glad this bicycle found a great home & will continue to gain in value but now it’s a rock star on the big screen.
I love thrifting and I make good money doing it , I find a rare vintage item about every other time I go. It’s easy if you know your stitching , brands and tags but if you don’t there’s no way you’ll make money unless you get lucky . Don’t try to go thrifting expecting to make $1000 on your first day when you don’t know a thing about style or clothing .
In Brighton i found a Gucci woman watch . I paid 15.one for it .then 2 mtg later in Glastonbury second hand shop i found another one .both watches i sold for 800 ..true story
I bought a sony stereo in 2010 for 100 dollars for my moms mom's birthday. I saw the same radio this year at the thrift shop. Bought it for 2 dollars and it works just perfect.
Wow. Thats awesome
So your saying we can take foreign money to the banks they will look at it and give us face value??? Or can we cash it there at the bank???? I have tons of them from all over the world
Yes, you can exchange it at the bank. Preferably one you have an account with.

Got my daughters the Twilight book there was $500 in the envelope inside
woAh

Bought a filing cabinet for $10. Once home I was removing old papers and found a copy of the first Sports Illustrated magazine.

Ma2swick Dude, every day is a vacation. I retired at 35 years old. Have a great day!
Hope you have a great one too. But honestly you should be careful about the type of information you put on mass media sites, that's all I'm saying.

I got a cane at a thrift store for 3 dollars , they didn't know it was a cane sword with an 18 inch blade, didn't make me rich , but it was cool !!
michael dailey way better than a shitty sweater
michael dailey. There are some canes with hidden needles used to kill people with radiation capsules. It is a really nasty painful way to die.

Because its used/ second hand bruhh.

What a deal
I was looking in my local thrift store, looked inside a basket full of jewelry, I found diamond fissile watch and a pair of diamond earingsfor5 bucks.

I can't believe the woman with the 9 million dollar painting didn't sell it, and decades later is still sitting on it out of pure greed. What a fool.
I bet her kids hurried up and cashed it in!
As a normal earning person I do not believe I can like a painting more than 9mil Dollar
Christopher Lantesh even if she sells it the money will never belong to her anymore because she is getting older
There is some people out there that judge thrift stores, but thrift stores sell good things for really cheap and sometimes they are really valuable. 😃😃😃😃😃

Yes Amigos, I love thrift shopping!

Hello my best deal occurred in the early 80's in Chicago at a flee market called "
"Maxwell Street flee market" there was a box sitting in a table with all sorts of trinkets in it,most of it covered in goop, grease and wax. 💜 💍
Lygia Estavia Very nice and sweet. I hope she enjoys it :)
Aww thats sweet
Why did you not sell it 🙄
@@campbellgies Why because I loved it and enjoyed it for over 20yrs then gave it to my daughter who has been enjoying it as well. It was never about the money. After finding out its worth I tried on 3 occasions to take it back to the woman I bought it from but she was never at the flee market at those times so I stopped trying as I didn't not live close to it......
I would've sold it.
so some people on this list, found items worth millions of dollars, but youre telling me the #2 spot is people finding images of themselves, and #1 is someone finding some money in a purse...

Dang it!
Didn't want to go out to eat till u had the money tho...bet you didn't even get head...
Lmao, you should of said No, mine lol
When wife hands you lemons, you get a new wife.
I always look for silver trays and silverware ya never know
I love thrift shops!
That mothet was a smart woman.
Those are really messed up people...

I was volunteering at a local thrift store in Ireland and someone donated some old books of their mom who passed away. I found a thousand pounds in 10 pound notes stuck in one of the books as I was preparing to put them on the shelves.

*the friend bought it in that year(he had the receipt)
Eriko 1414 sell it
Eriko 1414 woww
Eriko 1414 Rolexes are mechanical watches. They don’t use batteries, you fuckin pud. It obviously wasn’t an OysterQuartz if it was 1968. Why lie to strangers on the internet?
I just started reselling my thrift finds and the first thing I found and sold was a 1996 space jam shirt with the tags still on it. $3 in store, got almost $50 on eBay.
Damn, I found one of those at a yard sale, I'm gonna sell it.
C W lolololol
Best deal I ever found is a purse at goodwill for $10 that looked brand new, and retailed in Macy's for almost $200. I'm still using it! =D
$5,000 for a diamond necklace found inside a pair of hiking shoes"
Apparently, someone had left/hidden a platinum and diamond necklace in a pair of old hiking shoes (to deter a burglar?) and they got donated. They tried to get the police and FBI involved to sequester the tapes to see who purchased the item, but it was a legal transaction and the purchaser had their right to privacy. Last time I checked, no one had come forward with the necklace... must have been worth 10 times the reward...
Man I’m gonna go to a thrift store for now on everything I see old I’m buying it 😂
Fresh Kick me too 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Most stores get items appraised or research them online before selling these days

Czar is pronounced zar not cizar if anyone was wondering.
There were so many mispronunciations, but "czar" sounding like "Ceasar" was one too much!
He also butchered Faberge.
this just proves that one man's trash is another man's treasure
Oh wow, that is awesome!!! Congrats!
Whos watching in 2018!! , oh wait everyone is.😂Well until 2019 and for those with unspeakable time powers, they are wondering what I'm talking about.
