This tutorial explains how to implement a real-time odometry and dead reckoning algorithm for tracking robot position and orientation in the 2D plane, and how to visualize in real-time robot motion in Rviz. This tutorial is based on the Noetic Robot Operating System (ROS) version and Linux version Ubuntu 20.04. Everything explained in this tutorial can be generalized to other ROS versions.
