Hey , The Jackfruit u tried was not fully ripe, it was in the middle ( not fully ripe or fully raw ) it is usually a bit bland and mildly sweet . We usually eat it on its own or some people do make jackfruit pickle . A fully ripe jackfruit is bright yellow in colour and is way sweeter than the one u had . Here in India or atleast where I live we also make jackfruit dosa out of ripe ones which is usually served with coconut chutney and it is really good. Love from India😊❤️🇮🇳

Then the jackfruit is very hard to eat and sweet. In Bangladesh, jackfruit is cooked when it is fully raw and eaten with many kinds of spices. So, How do you know if it is ripe? Mamey is my favorite fruit. It's taste can very, but I think it has to do in how you choose it (just like watermelon).
