I own this car and totally love it. Yeah it's not a Lexus, just as you said, but it's more than enough for me, this is my first vehicle :) with comfy seats, smooth steering and shifting, a beautiful design, and in Chile (my country) the Accent comes with a multimedia system with a tactile screen instead of that stock radio which also includes a rear camera that is extremely useful for parking.

Not sloppy at all. I drove it from NY to Boston in one go and felt extremely comfortable. For the price the handling is absolutely amazing. Both city and highway. Take care

I have the same car I'd say just maintain regular oil changes, and do a transmission fluid change about every 30k, and do a GDI cleaner about every 20k, you will be in great shape. Just watch the GDI valve gunk build up. And also it says in the manual use a fuel injector cleaner like seafoam about every 5k because the fuel injector is right inside the cylinder. Do those things and you will be OK

Bought this car about a month ago, as my Ram pick-up was costing me about 700 in fuel per month. I get 41mpg highway in this car. Average about 32-34 mixed highway/city. Handles really well but around 75-80mph the car feels really light. It has enough power for a commuter. Not slow but not fast. Those looking to get good mpg will appreciate it for what it is, especially being one of the cheaper cars available it's hard to beat. The interior plastics and seats are nicer than the 2010 Honda Civic I once had and drove for 3 years and 75k miles. I feel good about my purchase.

Man some people are so ignorant complaining about handling and plastic stuff inside,,this is a value cheap car for a price not a luxury car that you’ll pay 50k and up..this is for the people whos looking for a cheap but reliable and not getting less for their money

Interesting, this car has less plastic than the 2010 Honda Civic I once had.
We had been driving this car with 1600cc diesel engine and 7speed dct transmission for 1.5 years. This engine gives you 136hp and 300nm torque. Average fuel consumption was between 6 and 6.5 litres per 100km. Suspensions are bad at comfort but they can grip the road well although 195/50R16 tyres. Nice video pal 👍

Good video on this car as I’m strongly considering a used 2017 Hyundai Accent it’s a good looker and yes I’d believe that the Hyundai brand has come a very long way as I see lots of them on the road. I had considered a Mitsubishi Mirage but now looking at this car the Mirage is not that impressive at all. Testing one out tomorrow

I rented the hatchback version of this from a Hertz in San Rafael, California in 2018. The clerk tried up selling me to a crappy Mustang. I am so glad I took the Accent.
The 1.6GDi with 138bhp is fast and economical, the handling is sharp, the build quality is every bit as good as VW and the interior space is very good. I think it was a four speed auto, which are probably the most reliable kind of auto.
The styling of this generation is fantastic, the hatchback looks like a slightly smaller first gen Hyundai i30 like we get here in the UK. Which in turn looks like a first gen BMW 1 series thanks to being designed by the same guy. Nice choice of car, Hyundai and Kia are really the most sensible choice if you appreciate quality and value.
Great value for money. I'd pick an Accent over a Jetta too. Awesome cars. They way they're shaped is refreshing.
I have a Accent just like this model no cruise control but,if I had to do it again I will have gotten a lot more features. But I like it.

I have had this car now for a month (2016). Great little vehicle, smooth, quiet ride. Very comfortable. Its not a race car but it gives you the power when you need it. Great MPG. Averaging about 23-25 city and 32-42 Mpg highway.

Great reveiw! Just a few questions. 1- Can you change the temp/measure unit to metric (km/h) and Fahrenheit to Celsius?
2 - is it smoothly moving forward/backward to adjust the back seat (driver and passenger seat) or do you have to keep pulling forward or pushing it back using other hand?!
3 - are chair's cloth material breathable enough so your back or hips/thighs not sweat or get hot on long drives? Specially in summer time?

The quality of Hyundai's has improved dramatically. Toyota's are good cars, but they've gotten boring. The same with Nissan. Honda's look like they're holding their own in the "keeping up" department.

The ac blows ice cold, all the way to the back. No problems whatsoever.

Yes. The AC is good. The only thing is, when it gets really hot because the sun is shining through the window, the fan needs to be way up. I think a slight window tint is advisory. But since you are in Toronto, you'll be fine : )
I have a 2017 Accent and I can attest the air conditioning works great and we have brutal summers in Northern Virginia

No, this car corners very good. Even with sudden and sharp turns. Not dangerous at all. The car got a pretty much maximum rating from NHTSA, so the claim is uncalled for. Tnx for watching

transmission sucks i have one of thIS 2016 model. My transmission control module alread broke and they are charging me 2000$ for the replacement.
Warranty should cover it...

Drive this car on the expressway before you buy it, take it between 55 and 65. It may act as if it is being blown by the wind, but there is no wind. It drifts left and right.

This particular version doesn't have it. If you opt for "Popular Package for SE Sedan" for $ 600 extra, you will have it.
Together with Steering-wheel-mounted audio controls and a bunch of other things.

ерунда сэндвич on high speeds (80-85mph) the way this car handles corners are terrible, it feels as if the car is going to "tip" over.
Infotainment system is really really bad aswell instead of making a price tag that low they could've made it alittle higher with better quality (both underneath the hood and above)
Regardless of these traits this car is ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS, it looks like a grandmother car (not to criticize grandmothers) for this price it seems more logical pickup a much better second hand car (Acura,Toyota,etc...)
Please take my comments in consideration before purchasing.....

Very difficult to find a more unappealing car. These things are cheap for a reason; low end quality materials and piss poor engines. Hyundai do make one or two very good cars, but this is wretched.
