Great job! An indication of the total build cost would be useful and keep things in perspective for the casual modder that might like to make this for themselves. Some of these parts are expensive which is fine if you’re being gifted them in return for a review or exposure but not everyone is going to be able to justify spending hundreds of dollars on modding a $30 watch. The strap alone (still available) is $110!

Thats still a pricey strap, but if modding a $30 watch doesnt make sense, it definitelty isnt for you. It only makes sense if you just like the fun and knowhow of tinkering with something, or if you want a modified Casio but dont want to pay the labor to have someome else do it for you.
For me, these spare straps and parts are also used on my other watches to swap and change looks from time to time👍

Yeah, jaysandkays ebay store is only one that makes bullbars and theyre frequently sold out. Hopefully theyll restock soon
I use the same bull bar for the casio 5600 they work,just push the buttons in when putting bar on,they look cool,I put silver bull bar on my silver AE 1200WH, Also a screen protector.
You can nake your bull bars with paper clip. so easy!

I guess they don't make bull bars for the AE-1200 anymore because I can't find em in their eBay store. The adapters are still there though.

I've found tooth picks work really well for applying the super glue cause all you need is a tiny dot as my man here aaid
Thanks for the tip. I have since swtiched to double sided glue tape. I have another video of it posted. Much easier to apply and more cost effective

I know this post is 2 years old, but which bullbar is compatible with the ae1200. I’m looking at Jays and Kays eBay store, and they don’t sell one specifically for the AE1200. They sell one for the DW5600. You think that will fit?

I'm confused about modifying the Ae1200, the model looks like a shoe and a football like that, I feel like I want to take the frame off. From Design-wise, I prefer the Ae1300 .Especially with the color Japanese traffic lights with Lee Filter and negative time display.
And if I may give you a suggestion, just use double tape, don't use power glue.
I want same upgradation in watch.

Have you tried modding the ae-1200whd-1b (the "vintage" version with the green map) ? Does it makes a difference to the mod, interaction with color filters etc?

Hello, anyone has experience putting a bullbar on a Casio AE-1000W model? I saw one posted on Reddit with a DW-5600 bullbar, any other bullbar models fits better? what do you recommend. Thank you!

The only Bullbars that fit are the one in the description, and the ones on ebay by seller Jaysandkays (though theyre usually sold out of them)

the bullbar makes it look as if the watch has braces
Tried 18 to 22 jays and kays adapters on my a1300. It doesn't work that way at all. The one end of the spring bar won't even get to the hole. Wrestling with it over 90 mins and just give up. Waste of time and money
That sucks. Never had that issue with any of mine. Just email them and request a replacement
I used the original spring bars from the a 1300. Worked like it's supposed too. I was going outa my mind. I basically ruined my yellow a 1300 tho. Got another on the way. Yellow silicone on it. Navy Nato on the regular chrome one. Thanks for all your entertainment. Great job.
