Lol I actually clued into eastman as a result of watching this channel. And recently opted for one as my first acoustic. Cant comment on the electrics. But the acoustics are fantastic
Hunter, check out my guy Scooter. He owns Granville Guitars and is the personal tech of Cannibal Corpse!! He’s based out St Pete Fl., and I know he can refret and keep the nubs!
Most good techs/luthiers can do a refret and keep the nibs. The job just takes waaaay too long to bother. You'll definitely pay for it if you insist on keeping the nibs.
You know, I had a similar experience with Teles. When I was in my teens/20's, I hated them. Now I'm 41 and I own a couple of them and absolutely love them, but I can't recall when I started liking them, haha.
26:44 I've actually always thought the Cadillac looked awesome! It's like an Explorer and a Les Paul combined. Megadeth's old guitar player Glenn Drover (criminally underrated, check out his solos on United Abominations) played one and I think one of the Cannibal Corpse guys did too. I do agree that the headstock is ridiculous. But I'm kinda in love with that black and white aesthetic. Spiffy axe.
@@agufish his rig rundown on Premier Guitar is still my favorite because you can always hear amp hiss in the background. That and the way his Gibby LP Artisan is wired is some next level shit. Also have to hand it off to you with your Lucifer's Rocking Chair riff on the Epi G-400 video for getting me back into the Cancer Bats 🤙
Glad you didn't give up on the channel. My introduction to your channel was via Steve from Boston right before the pandemic. So your channel and a host if other helped me get through this. Love your content.
20:17 , I've been REALLY interested on Lundgren pickups for a a while and hearing this from a guy who tried almost everything out there just makes me more sure about getting them , thanks hunter!
My 6505+ is a 2010 or 2011 and you’re not kidding. It’s build like a fucking TANK! Survived so many shows, practices, recording sessions and even a flood. Insane. Awesome video. Great collection of gear.
Dude, congrats on all the hard work. Been a long time viewer. Your channel continues to get better and better. I really appreciate your approach to reviews for guitars and all other gear. Cheers man!
My bandmate gave me a t-shirt for my birthday. It has some really nice graphics (a bunch of different kinds of guitars), and printed on the shirt is the question, "How many guitars do you need?' Below that is printed, "Just one more."
Dude, your videos are absolutely outstanding. Your presenting style is so joyful, genuine and charming. Really stunning polish, but still so down-to-earth and engageable. Keep it up, you're gonna make a majillion dollars.
That's crazy I met Daniel Gailey 3 times in Jacksonville, FL when he was in Becoming The Archetype..very cool dude. I think he lived in Cleveland, GA back then so not too far from you. Been a fan of FFAK since 2012 so I'm glad he's joined up with them.
The mighty gear haul, we love to see it. Request for when you do a giveaway to do maybe a neural DSP Archetype Gojira giveaway or something that's available for your viewers outside the US. We get left out of pretty much every UA-camr giveaway so you'd be surprised how excited we get when we're included.
Dude get out of my head lol. NDSP was one of the first companies I hit up. Been LOVING their plugins, and I wanted to make sure non-US residents could get some cool stuff easily :)
1. Overdriven teles are such a good tone like all your chords have the warm fuzzies but are still clear 2. I cant figure out if I should eventually get a god tier amp like the revv or get a decent pedal platformer and a decked out pedal board. Maybe both but that seems kinda wasteful? Anyway... 3. This is a badass collection. I'm not exactly a single cut kinda guy, cant stand the tunomatic bridge style but the class and especially those ones are sick as hell. I'm a bit more of an Ibanez fan boy because consistent fret access but the tones and feel from those other ones is to die for
Man, this video gave me some serious GAS. I've been working on one great one of each of the classics, but your approach seems to be to find what you love and stock up. Now I want to add an MIJ LP style and an orange head.
Interesting, I had an old Peavey Bandit Red Stripe Combo that made a high pitched squeal sound as well. Seemed to maybe be coming from the transformer? 🤔
Hey Hunter when will you be working on releasing more of your signature guitar? They sold out pretty quick and hoping you will get Harley Benton to make some more or work on your 2.0 version :) Thank you man, keep on rocking.
For that old Melody Maker, one classic colour for those is TV Yellow, though if it was me I'd go for something even more obnoxious. Maybe a Chartreuse Green, like the liqueur.
I think you should modify the Melody Maker in keeping with the guitars rep, as a punk rock machine! A super versatile melody maker seems a bit odd, just stick the hottest goddamn pickup in it that you can and palm mute some power chords!
A blast as always Hunter. I cannot wait for all your thoughts on the Revv Generator 120 MKiii. Also, you're so damn close to 100k! CONGRATS now and when you get there!!!!
Been playing my agufish sig a bunch lately. Through some EMG Revelation pickups in it to see how they sound and they are really good…. Added a duesenberg les trem II just because and it is a beast.
You ever gonna sell that 7-string Hello Kitty guitar? That thing's always charmed me, and it seems like it could benefit from the motivation of an additional modder.
100% agree about the tele. I *hated* them then one day I just wanted to have one with dual humbuckers. I had a 72' Custom with humbuckers but it weighed *so* much I had to sell it. One day about a month later I walk into my local guitar shop and one of the guys hands me a natural finish classic style tele and I was like, wtf? Until I held it. It weighs maybe 4lbs and its bare finish neck and bare rounded fretboard were just the "feel" I had wanted for years and not known it. Its probably the guitar I play most now despite it being one of the cheapest guitars I own
If you can afford them and you play atleast every now and again. You can never have too many. Of course if you don't play them or take care of them then you deserve to have GPS or guitar protective services called. 😆 But seriously I get it.
I spy with my little eye a kraken sitting on your desk bud, is that the preamp pedal version or is that the brand new basically amp in pedal form kraken? Either way looking forward to seeing a demo on that if one happens!!! Edit: congrats on getting 100k subs btw bud must be a great feeling honestly and keep doing what your doing man cause it’s working and looking forward to more content!!!

My ideal amount of electric guitars is having a Stratocaster, Telecaster, ES-335, a Les Paul and one guitar with P90s. If I have any more than those 5 at ANY one time, my wife would probably flip out lol.
ive said it before but tele are like red wine. It grows on you when you gets older ^^ My first reaction : "damn this is so ugly and looks so unconfortable..." And now my n°1 guitar is a tele. And I love it. And it looks amazing.
Yep! The full review is in editing right now. Basically, it's awesome. A full, premium-quality LP Custom with tasteful aging for less than Gibson wants a Standard for?

Keep on keeping on brother 🎸
I'm hoping I'll luck out on the giveaway..I need a win..and would live a lp style guitar with all my heart
The perfect number of guitars is the amount you own plus one more.
n+1
So the formula is Y=X+1 with Y being the perfect amount of guitars, and X being the number you own.
Agreed🤘😎🎸

Why were you thinking about giving up on the channel? Regardless, I'm really glad you didn't.

He has the coolest videos. Features really iconic guitars for death metal fans.
Best luthier I’ve met. Hands down.
I love Scooter, did amazing work on my Godin.

I totally agree about the Telecaster. I never understood them. Thought they were ugly. Now I want 100 of them
When all your guitars are "the best guitar in your collection"
Matt Pike uses a lot of Orange and has a godly tone. That's why you go with Orange, and then throw in some fuzz and overdrive.
Matt Pike is insane lol. His tone is something else, probably because he runs ALL the Orange amps at the same time 😂
@@agufish his rig rundown on Premier Guitar is still my favorite because you can always hear amp hiss in the background. That and the way his Gibby LP Artisan is wired is some next level shit.

That Dean Cadillac is wonderful. I hope you feature more Dean guitars in the future.

great video, congrats on 100k
What ever happened to the harley benton mint green les paul you were making a while back?? Did I miss it??? I need to know!
Hey Hunter. If your wanting to upgrade the tele, you try the Greg Koch Tele Fishmans. They are the most Tele-Tele pickups ever.

I came just to see that edwards again, I HAVE to find that dark purple satin LP.
(P.S, I love cream white 70s les Pauls)
Speaking of Edwards, I just ordered an Edwards FV-120 in cherry red from Japan. I wanted the white one, but reverb did not have any lol.

Hope the Agufish V2 comes lefty with fret markers.
What happened to the wish strat?
I put black winter duncans in my les Paul modern and dude let me tell you how much that guitar sounds like a fuckin beast .
Just ordered a grey burst gonna be my seconded HB I would geuinly recommend if your gonna get a harley benton plan on changing the tuning machines
I always thought Teles looked weird. Bought a Blacktop HH in candy apple red a few years back after waking up one day thinking "I want a telecaster."

I think teles have twang that most think is for country only but they sound great for that bluesy rockabilly sound. Just my opinion.
Still love your Signature guitar and now I can explain the High Intergrity to my kids when they tell me it’s spelled wrong.
On the melody maker, try putting P Rails on it
