Every time I hear this beautiful, beautiful hymn, it brings tears streaming down my face as I am overcome by emotion for what God is doing in my life, while I now battle Stage IV breast cancer, which was diagnosed only a few months ago with a prognosis not very encouraging. We do not know the day or the hour, but God's knows as He prepares my new heavenly home with Him when that day comes. He promised to never leave me or forsake me, and He never has. I trust in Him completely knowing it is well with my soul as God brings me under His wings to protect and He will never let go of me. This beautiful arrangement will most certainly be part of my Celebration of Life service as I begin choosing other hymns like these that will glory and praise His Holy name, so others may hear, see, believe and want to receive His salvation in their lives. For it truly is no secret what God can do! Thank Greg for your beautiful ministry, which is touching the lives of so many to reach out to HIM and live their lives for Jesus, the sweetest name I know.

More than 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and I was given a very grim prognosis. 20 years later, I am contemplating running a half marathon. Continue to believe in yourself, get the proper medical treatment, and maintain a positive mental focus. Good luck with this life change.

Wow!! Tears flowing. What a beautiful song. I have been struggling the last week in my faith and I stumbled across this, not by accident, but by God's intervention. In the last week I have had feeling of hopelessness, helplessness and loneliness. I know that I am never alone with God and listening to absolutely beautiful music like this restores my faith. IT IS WELL...2 Kings 4:26-I went through a horrible and violent time of my life in my 20-30s...I was praying already by HIS grace...but went on some SUPERNATURAL fasts. God told me what to do and showed me this VERSE and I was to say "It is well...." God did it! I saw HIS glory and power, limitless grace. HE said "pray without ceasing; speak only faith [not the crazy stuff though] and once a day tell Him all I was experiencing as though He was my doctor, although I knew He already new... HE DID IT!
After the earthquake in 1989, I was able to play my trumpet with piano accompaniment by Miss Debbie Bellue at a church in Watsonville,CA which was ten miles from the epicenter. It is a wonderfully inspirational song...It is Well with my Soul...indeed!
I believe this is the tranquil taste of what Heaven will be like ~ full of everlasting peace and joy . Praise be to the Lord for He makes it well with our souls !
