Thanks. Used this method to get into a safe for my grandmother. The tip that even the smallest movement to reach the next number counts as a rotation is the important point that helped me unlock.

Thanks Alan, We got a small safe of that kind, It was dropped at our shop locked, but in good condition, combination lost & forgotten, I managed to manipulate it open with Hawkeye scope through the combination change keyhole, and set it on a 50. customer doesn't want it, so we are going to have it repainted, refurbish the lock and sale it, Dimension from memory about 500Hx500Wx400D Will measure it properly on Monday though.

I have a Chubb wall safe (identical dial), but there is no lever at the bottom to retract the bolt. Any idea if just turning the knob will retract the bolt, and whether I still need to do the 4-3-2 number of turns? Or any idea of the model number? It's a smaller capacity than the one shown here.
