7:10 this is why learning to beatmatch is still a necessary skill that a lot of new Dj’s skip. The beat grid in not always accurate, especially on songs that were recorded from live instruments.
I agree that the beat grid is not always accurate but I wouldn't just limit this to non electronic music I find that even with electronic music about 20% of tracks the beat grid is wrong, it is fixable if you go in an edit it but this is very time consuming as if its correct at the start it doesn't always follow that its correct all the way through so you basically need to listen to the whole song from start to end making sure the markers are in time with the beats, I have no transition tracks so this is based on standard electronic music I have noticed its more common (but not exclusive to) to be wrong on tracks that don't start with a beat, so the track will start with a synth, singing, talking etc.
I have BPM and used to have Heavy Hits and DJ City, however and Franchise blows them all out the water for the dancehall and soca alone. For dj's that do hip hop, dancehall, soca, and Afrobeats none of the other recordpools really cater to those genres
@@AaronStrawn used to be the Funkmaster Flex record pool. The only issue is that they do not have the Sony catalog, that is why I keep BPM. Franchise has a great Latin section too.
I use to be a mobile wedding DJ but didn't do a good job of keeping my library. I am still retired but considering helping a friend out for a wedding so I would need a wide library of old and new for weddings and be able to download it all. Sounds like from your video DMS (unlimited download) would be the best fit. Wouldn't you say?
Dms is great But Club Killers is the TITS plus they have a podcast with a plethera of great djs playing the music in the pool giving tons of ideas for your own sets... huge backlog and tons of dj tools!!! check it out!
When you said that Beatsource "integrates really well with the Prime series", what did you mean by that? Do you mean Amazon Prime like we get it for free or with a discount if we have Amazon Prime? Also, thank you for this video! I'm in the market for a DJ pool and this was really helpful.
Aaron how’s it going I was wondering 💭 for any of those streaming pools you mentioned in your video can I keep any of the downloads even after I cancel my subscription to those pools or do they erase after canceling just wondering 💭

My only thing with DMS is they limit your downloads like no record pool should do that if I wanna download songs I should be able to download all day without limits .. it's like back in the day when you wanna call long distance you don't wanna be on thay phone killing your minutes lol
Call me after 9pm!! Lol..yeah. I'll say this, after being a member for over a year, I have rolled over enough downloads that I'm good to go. But if you are starting off and building your library from scratch, that 35 downloads goes quick
I use DMS it's one of the more expensive with unlimited downloads at $64.95 a month... I used to use BPM Supreme and liked them for their remixes buuuut they now they are kinda basic in that area but still not to bad. I liked XMIX at one point and their intros are really good but they are really stingy with their music downloads and be prepared to photo copy your license to send them yeah I don't know why. I used Heavy Hits not to long ago but their remixes are just mashed up songs... just an acapella on another instrumental - that wasn't for me.
I'm still using DMS and can get almost anything I need from there. I've been able to bank some downloads too because I don't use 30 a month, so the limited plan has been perfect.
hi there do you know where I can RESOURCE vs BEATPORT: @ 1st it was GREAT then OF COURSE...we need you to UPGRADE and now it does NOT work at all...WHERE do we source PSY TRANCE plus Techno please?
I cant join DMS because they only will accept professionals, but how am i supposed to become a professional if i cant use services like this in the first place? not only with DMS, every dj pool i checked out will check you out first, and if youre not already a pro then bye bye
They’re just trying to make sure you’re an actual DJ. If you set up some social media, and a website, they’ll let you in. I did all that too before I joined up
@@kenizbarbie1132 not only that but they are expensive! I know that as a beginner its fair to charge less than someone with experience but these subscription prices are going to force you to charge the full market rate just to break even on what you're paying per year and thats without mentioning how expensive the entire set up is already
I think when you say horrible back log I think there are a few factors.. Firstly unless the pool specifically caters towards older stuff then you can't expect to find them in particular. As far as the back log goes, their hip hop genre goes back to 2016 and house music to 2012.. that's actually a much better backlog than most of the pools. Does it compare to the 80's/90's selection of hiphop offered by LNRP or DMS? No, but those are explicit categories specifically for those years so it's different
Try HeavyHits for $5 with the Promo Code: DJAA

interesting @ 1st I did the synch on both channels hmmm NOW i am out there and NOT using synch...interesting thanks dj:spy-girl
I don't see a Latin genre category for DMS so that's a deal breaker for me, given it's popular music to play in clubs
You're right, nothing there. Be great if they would add that
Check out Franchise record pool. I am looking for a record pool that has Kompa and Zouk
The colored tags represent genre I believe. I have DMS as well
Yep, got roasted for that already lol
lol yeah thats pretty clear I thought lmaoo

Digital DJ and DJ city…..not good back logs gonna check out DMS….great job👌🏾

Where do you recommend a Record Pool that has a large range of Acapella Intros & Outros?
Out of all those, I'd say DMS. They have pretty decent Acapella's in the DJ Tools tab
