Abnormally Normal: Keeper Talk with Mountain Lion Kittens

Welcome to our next installment of our Abnormally Normal video series. Today, we're in Rocky Mountain Wild with 11-month-old mountain lions, Adira and Sitka, and lead keeper, Courtney!

I am one of those who have had the rare privilege of seeing a mountain lion in the wild she was a female and somehow made our subdivision part of her territory the Dow set traps so they could release her but she was one smart cookie I was driving home one night and she was walking across the road with pray in her mouth beautiful creature

They are my favorite wild feline. When I was about 11 we moved to a small town in Arizona. A rancher had a pet female whom he tied to a pole when he went to the grocery store. When my mother read she was oblivious so one day I snuck out and cuddled the mountain lion. She purred so loud. I git in lots of trouble! But so glad I cuddled her.

Glad you focus on young survivors of wildfires - very important. But wild animals should be released back into the wild whenever possible - not a judgment, just an opinion. I am learning still at an old age to accept the role of zoos. Can't visit them in person - makes me cry.
