At 12:50 I failed to mention that you can revive yourself if one other angel is on the battlefield, but in this scenario you can only revive by using an "at any time" revive effect.
At 45:45 I failed to use my Intercessor's ability, Prayer for Justice, to deal 3 damage. Don't forget your free actions! 😁

Great intro and playthrough as usual. The campaign mode is very good as well. So much game in the box. Thank you for the video.

Deliverance has become one of, if not my number one, game to play solo! It’s so good! Great review of a great game ^^

I don't know what I think about the theme of this one. It reminds me of my days growing up in the Bible Belt and there was this 8 bit Nintendo game. I can't remember the name of it to save my life but it was a Zelda rip off with a religious kick. It had a gold cartridge and you were fighting demons and stuff. It just reminds me of this theme-wise. I remember feeling sacrilegious or something playing it. Calvinist guilt is a thing, and I am not even Calvinist. 😂😂😂

Haha, I think I remember playing a game like that when I was a kid, and feeling that same guilt. This one definitely leans into the Christian theme of Spiritual Warfare (and Bible verses everywhere). Since I'm not a Christian anymore, I thought the theme would bother me, but it didn't. It made a good backdrop for what is really good gameplay.

@@tabletopforone I remember you making an offhand comment about that in a previous video. I'd be interested in hearing your story sometime off the record, but that's really none of my business. That's just part of what I do for a living, so people's journey's like that interest me.

@RyanAshley419 It's a bit of a long story for sure, but maybe someday I'll tell it. I just don't ever want others to lose their faith because of my story. So, I rarely tell it.
What do you do for a living?

@@tabletopforone I completely understand. I have run across many people that for whatever reason were victimized by various institutions or people or family. My own story is likewise long and precarious.
I am previous clergy actually, but my former denomination decided to go theologically bananas and I basically got what I call the Left Foot of Fellowship right out the door. It took me several years to basically reconstruct my entire faith and worldview really because everything I had been taught completely unraveled. I did finally find my way back to another tradition, but like I said it took many years and much self reflection. So, I try to be the last person to ever cast any stones when I talk to people about such things because it really is not for me to judge because I've walked that path and there but for the grace of God, go I, as they say.
I do currently work in a non profit as an administrator but I do still do a small amount of counseling on the side. It's mainly just letting people have a sympathetic ear. Life skills, that kind of stuff. So, if you do ever need anyone to vent to or listen to you outside your normal support system, don't hesitate to call or e-mail me.
