- It has been over three years since the CVA Paramount took the world by storm at SHOT Show 2019.
Today, we are discussing all of the different Paramounts and their various roles in the muzzleloader world today. We are also talking about the legacy of the Paramount and evaluating the performance over the last few years to see if it has truly lived up to the hype. Joining Darren in this conversation is Chad Schearer of Shoot Straight TV. Chad has decades of experience in muzzleloader hunting and we always value his insight on our show.

Love the videos, one gun that isn't really talked about is the accura mr-x and what it's capable of. I bought one and wouldn't have a problem with reaching out to 300 yards with pretty good accuracy. Also would like to see how much powder you think it would handle seeing the lr-x is capable of 108gr by weight
That's with the 50.
Honestly for a rifle whether muzzzleloading or not 300 yards should be easy.
When is the new Williams precision sight coming out? It sounds like they’re working on incorporating fiber optic into the crosshairs?
Oh yeah, it's gonna be insanely cool. Unfortunately, there's no ETA on it yet.
Did CVA discontinue the Paramount recently? Can't find them anywhere.
exactly! "Just because a gun can shoot 400 years doesn't mean you should try that shot."
Just got a 45 cal paramount with a vortex from you guys looking forward to it. Have read where muzzlebrakes may impact the powerbelts. Any you would recommend? Don't want to get into special ammo and sizing if I can get the powerbelts to work.
Curious as to why the pro does not have the adjustable cheek piece? If its for weight reduction for a hunting rifle, wouldn’t it make more sense for the HTR model to have the non adjustable stock?
