Let's Weekend in Guatemala City

- While my wife heads off to Panama to visit her son, it's just you and me for a fabulous weekend of fun in my beautiful Guatemala City... Let's show the world what they're missing when they bypass the city and head straight to Antigua or Atitlan!
First, we'll start the morning off right with a walk around one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city before heading back to the house and up to the rooftop deck for a cup of Guatemalan coffee as we take in the view of the spectacular volcanos and the city below.
We'll then visit Cayala together for some Christmas cheer and see what culinary delights this city within a city has to offer!
Next, we'll head over to Zone 10 for some pampering (come on, we deserve it, right!?) and pick up some of the finest cuban cigars before stopping into one of the most iconic hotels in all of Guatemala City.
Finally, after some rest to recharge and some more morning exercise together, we'll head out on a field trip to visit my cousin Raul's newest construction project and reminisce about the family business that started it all before finishing off our weekend at the best sushi and steak restaurants in all of Guatemala City. Believe me, you won't want to miss a bite!

This is my goal! I will retire in Guatemala City and Lake Atitlan, but in the meantime I need to keep working for it. Thanks for sharing these inspirational videos.
That's my plan too but more Guatemala City and Antigua. Here's to retirement coming sooner rather than later!!!
I remember in the 70s as a child going with my dad to get window frames and glass (percianas) somewhere near boulevard Aguilar Batres but not sure that is the very same outlet of Aluminios Aldana. I remember them being very nice and friendly to my dad (we drove early morns from Quetzaltenango, then many hours trip) I remember them even giving advice to my dads start up small business etc. Great people, you must be very proud of your ancestors. Though Guatemala is so beautiful and full of natural and potential resources, it is it's good and friendly people what I believe to be their greatest asset. Blessings and best wishes in all. 🙏 👍 💙 🇬🇹

Great video! I need to spend some time in Guatemala City aside from breakfast at El Adobe after I land. Love the puyaso shots too! I think I had about 3 of them when I was in Antigua this time last year (thanks to a previous video of yours - hadn’t heard of it before.)

Im an Guatemalan architect living near Annapolis Maryland and love watching all your videos and all the beautiful architecture and amazing homes and cool places you have shown us. Westin Camino real is exactly as you portrayed it, I have also great memories from that hotel and it’s location. If you were smart @juliopereira2807, you'd get your friends in construction and rebuild the poor sections and try to attract people with more money to live in those areas.
