Dr. Amber Gill in Honolulu. Saying she is a professional perfectionist is an understatement. Her Botox is perfect and understated. I’m from Sweden but live in Los Angeles and Phoenix, but I spend a considerable amount of time on Oahu for business. I also suffer from psoriasis which is why I sought a dermatologist in Honolulu. Her Botox is understated perfection, and I don’t even get it here in LA anymore. I can wait a few weeks or a month to see her. She’s excellent. Doctor, is there a difference in ingredients list between Ascorbic Acid and L-Ascorbic Acid? Some lists of ingredients in some products don't specify which Ascorbic Acid it is - thank you!!
L-ascorbic acid is a more specific term and the L just refers to the molecular configuration and structure- if you remember from Organic Chemistry classes (my favorite 🤓🤓🤓). BUT many formulators will just say Ascorbic acid because they are using a synthetic ascorbic acid called D-ascorbic acid which is not effective or bioactive so be careful for these marketing schemes! I'm in clinic but I'll try to post a shorts on this- great question!!
and ethyl ascorbic acid is not as effective as L ascorbic but much easier to formulate do you'll find in in serums but careful because its not nearly as effective.

I do still use other brands like skinbetter but i go back to yours lol they just work! Doctor what is your favorite for the neck botox or Daxxify? also how do you apply the colorscience? if using a beauty blender do you wet it first?
Hi there and thank you for your support!! Yes I'm here to educate you guys and put all my years in school to good use and help others! I'm glad you love the products tho. For the neck I use both Daxxify and Botox, just depends on patient preference ;). Daxxify lasts a little longer. I just apply Colorscience 3 in 1 total eye with the applicator and then a tiny beauty blender (not wet) and then I either use my hands to apply my FaceShield Classic or a dry beauty blender. Hope you find this useful!!

Thanks in advance for Your informative answer.

Hello Dr Stef! I am on your full skincare routine. I have heat-induced and hormonal-induced melasma. Hi Stefani! I love your channel! I am a 45 year old dentist, similar lifestyle as yours. I was wondering if you can recommend any sunscreen products that PREVENT a tan. I often wear a long sleeve cover up and a large hat but sometimes I just wanna look cute in my bikini while out on our boat but I don't like getting a tan. Any recommendations?
It's incredible how far skin care has come. I had many burns as a child in the 80s (tanning oil YIKES, few facial sunscreens - Coppertone on the face was definitely not suited for daily use, or when it was challenging to find SPF even above 15!) and while I know that damage has been done, I've been actively trying to make up for that time.
Hi, Dr. <3 Thank you so much for this helpful information. Hopefully you or anyone else answer this question. I already have some good Rayban polarized sunglasses, however, I’d want to know what are your sunglasses (very big ones) they looked like Channel or Dior, but can you please tell us the model? I’ve been trying to find some good sunglasses like the ones I saw in one of your videos (I think you were at the beach). I’d love to have that size and remain comfortable as that’s my fashion too. Hope you have a nice day🤍
Hi Stefani, can you make a non tinted and tinted water resistant silicone body and face sunscreen. I used a face primer sunscreen from cotz and love it, it doesn’t have that greasy feel to it. But they don’t make a body one and I would love it if it’s spf50 as well, that would make it even better because the cotz one is spf 40. That would be my dream sunscreen haha.
