To be honest, Heroes like Superman, Captain Atom, Hulk, etc would have a hard time with Godzilla. Even if they managed to surpass the G-man in a contest of strength depending on the version, Godzilla's penchant for stealing and eating nuclear radiation would extend to the heroes who rely off of said radiation in order to survive. The longer they remain in contact with him, the more at risk they are of becoming shriveled husks while G-man just gets stronger.
All depends on the version of Godzilla. In some incarnations, he's an outterversal God that cannot be destroyed and in others, just a big dinosaur. I would certainly hedge any bets on composite Godzilla vs composite superman or any other.

I love Godzilla. I've been a huge G fan since age 4. I'm also a Superman fan. And I can honestly say, considering the powers both of them possess, there's no way Godzilla wins this fight. None. It would take Superman less than a tenth of a second to fly into orbit, use his telescopic vision, microscopic vision and x-ray vision to peer into Godzillas' brain and fry it from the inside out with his heat vision. It would take slightly longer for the Man of Steel to pick up the King of the Monsters by the tail, fly him into space and throw him into the sun.

Add to that his super-speed, and other vision powers (microscopic, telescopic, x-ray) and it means that Superman could easily fry Godzillas' brain from the inside out in less than a tenth of a second. Besides the strategy of grabbing Godzilla by the tale and flying him into space, there were a couple of things to consider first. 1. Superman would engage the oversized lizard before the big guy reached the city. He's not exactly inconspicuous, so Clark would have known he was coming long before he arrived. 2. Even if he used the strategy mentioned above, there's still Godzilla's radioactive breath to deal with. He could be firing it off, killing and destroying as Supes carries him away. So that would have to be dealt with first. How? How else do you deal with a runaway nuclear reactor? Slam the control rods into it to suck up all that radiation. And since Godzilla is basically a giant rampaging reactor, that's how Superman would deal with him. Clark would use his super-speed to gather up as many available control rods as possible and then throw them into the depths of Godzilla's body with a combination of super-strength and super-speed, quenching the lizard's biggest weapon (while also weakening Godzilla since radioactivity is the source of his power). Then he would fly him into space to another planet. Since Superman doesn't kill (Zod notwithstanding), he would make sure it was a planet he could reach with the FTL speed he can utilize outside Earth's atmosphere before the big guy would die from the airlessness of space. The planet would have to have an atmosphere Godzilla could adapt to, as well as radiation to sustain the big lizard. Perhaps one of Jupiter's or Saturn's moons. He'd then use his super-speed to remove the control rods so that Godzilla's body could operate at peak efficiency to keep him alive in his new home. The super-speed being necessary so that Superman could remove the rods without giving Godzilla a chance to swat at him. After all, the oversized lizard would likely see this as another attack instead of the help it is from the blue pipsqueak (pipsqueak, relatively speaking). No need to involve the JLA. Meh, maybe Aquaman since he'd be keeping track of Godzilla's travels under the sea (cue the Little Mermaid and her singing crab... "Under da sea... under da sea..." 🎶).

I ran a simulation many years ago with a half dozen ‘near Superman’ level heroes against 2-40 story Shambling Mounds in a city. The heroes won, but it was very difficult. God, I’m a nerd.

I love Godzilla. I've been a huge G fan since age 4. I'm also a Superman fan. And I can honestly say, considering the powers both of them possess, there's no way Godzilla wins this fight. None. It would take Superman less than a tenth of a second to fly into orbit, use his telescopic vision, microscopic vision and x-ray vision to peer into Godzillas' brain and fry it from the inside out with his heat vision.
It would take slightly longer for the Man of Steel to pick up the King of the Monsters by the tail, fly him into space and throw him into the sun.

Add to that his super-speed, and other vision powers (microscopic, telescopic, x-ray) and it means that Superman could easily fry Godzillas' brain from the inside out in less than a tenth of a second. Superman literally is that powerful. The Man of Steel has been depicted as strong enough to move whole planets out of orbit. I hate to admit it, since Godzilla remains my favorite fictional character, but there's no way the King of the Monsters is going to beat the Man of Steel. It just ain't gonna happen.

I thought Superman would carry Godzilla to space like he did with Doomsday. Problem with BvS scenario is that the nuke came too soon. Even if Superman was as big as Godzilla or Godzilla as small as Superman, Godzilla would still kill Superman with virtually no effort.
This literally wouldnt happen. First of all superman cant just fly through godzilla's atomic breath. And godzilla wouldnt stay down that long. He's fallen from the atmosphere so a fall that small, he'd be up in seconds. Besides superman can't just fling him around so easily. Also superman wouldnt use a building that probably has thousands of people and hurl it at godzilla. But props for actually showing godzilla has the power to kill many super heros and for going burning.

Besides the strategy of grabbing Godzilla by the tale and flying him into space, there were a couple of things to consider first.
1. Superman would engage the oversized lizard before the big guy reached the city. He's not exactly inconspicuous, so Clark would have known he was coming long before he arrived.
2. Even if he used the strategy mentioned above, there's still Godzilla's radioactive breath to deal with. He could be firing it off, killing and destroying as Supes carries him away. So that would have to be dealt with first.
How?
How else do you deal with a runaway nuclear reactor? Slam the control rods into it to suck up all that radiation. And since Godzilla is basically a giant rampaging reactor, that's how Superman would deal with him.
Clark would use his super-speed to gather up as many available control rods as possible and then throw them into the depths of Godzilla's body with a combination of super-strength and super-speed, quenching the lizard's biggest weapon (while also weakening Godzilla since radioactivity is the source of his power).
Then he would fly him into space to another planet. Since Superman doesn't kill (Zod notwithstanding), he would make sure it was a planet he could reach with the FTL speed he can utilize outside Earth's atmosphere before the big guy would die from the airlessness of space. The planet would have to have an atmosphere Godzilla could adapt to, as well as radiation to sustain the big lizard. Perhaps one of Jupiter's or Saturn's moons. He'd then use his super-speed to remove the control rods so that Godzilla's body could operate at peak efficiency to keep him alive in his new home. The super-speed being necessary so that Superman could remove the rods without giving Godzilla a chance to swat at him. After all, the oversized lizard would likely see this as another attack instead of the help it is from the blue pipsqueak (pipsqueak, relatively speaking).
No need to involve the JLA.
Meh, maybe Aquaman since he'd be keeping track of Godzilla's travels under the sea (cue the Little Mermaid and her singing crab... "Under da sea... under da sea..." 🎶).

Anyway, what I did was exaggerate all characters abilities by about 1000 times (average good guy character could lift 1500 pounds/ 700 kilos, magically enhanced, so that’s 750 tons or so for each of them). Although, it was long ago, so maybe the Sham. Mnds. were even more exaggerated. And yes, Homelander would be a great example of one of S. M.’s typical adversaries.
That was a fun watch. I always thought Godzilla v Kong was a lot like Batman v Superman in the sense that Godzilla is far too powerful compared to Kong. So they had to make Kong equal stature to Godzilla. Still. Kong bleeds. Helicopter gun ships can hurt him. In contrast, Godzilla swallow nukes for breakfast 😋.
