    Rented a 2024 recently. And yesterday just got picked up at the airport in a 2022 Palisade Calligraphy with 100,092 miles. Was more solid, rode better, had absolutely zero rattles or noises anywhere, and went down the road far nicer than many newer other brand vehicles I’m in daily. Hyundai Kia isn’t perfect, but their tech & design about is, and V6 models seem far more durable than some older 4 cylinders.
    Easy to see why “Telluride/Palisade” is still the target 3 row goal for every other brand in their design, still to this day.

    The Palisade really stands out in its class with the size, cargo space, technology, and chassis design. This is definitely an awesome car to road-trip the family with. Please make a video roadtrip/camptrip with the Honda Pilot Trailsport please!

    I think Hyundai hit a home run with the Palisade. It's just the perfect family vehicle, compared to their previous 3-row SUVs, like the Veracruz and the Santa Fe XL. The Palisade and the platform mate, the Telluride, are really is some of the best in their class honestly. Plus you can't go wrong with a naturally aspirated V6 engine. You don't see a lot of them anymore, and I'm glad Hyundai still makes one for the Palisade. The really only N/A V6 engines I see left are some from Lexus and Toyota, Honda and Acura, Nissan and Inifinti, and Hyundai and Kia. I might be missing some, but again, not a lot of N/A V6 engines left.

    Smart park is a super useful feature for wheelchair users. Sure they can park at handicap spots but if there’s none to be had and they have to park at a normal spot, they could utilize this to pull out/back out of the spot that it’s in.

    Got a this same palisade with the cream/navy interior and we love it. Drives great,super comfy, the cruise control is the best stays in the lanes and stops and goes on its own and can keep hands of for a long ass time. The blind spot screens that come on on the cluster are also great and at first it feels weird because not used to it but after its great and helps peace of mind when changing lanes and even when turning on a street to the right you can see the front tire so you don’t accidentally hit the curve if it’s a tight turn. Just everything is really good and I think it looks great as well on the outside. 3rd row is also spacious and if you are 5’10 or less you could sit there for a long time e comfy I believe. Recommend to any odys[ecially with a family.

    This looks like a decent SUV with 38 grand amid inflation. I once road tripped this one from Dallas to LA and it was incredibly comfortable and nimble. The gauge cluster looks amazing and matches perfectly with the large haptic screen.

    the engine spinning up when you go into park is so that the battery doesnt die when you idle, although there could be much easier ways to program the engine to turn on to charge the battery occassionally without having the engine idle while in park.

    the only reason why i think the turn asistence during a lane change is because up here in new york there's alot of fast driver's and without having the hand on the wheel at least for me for that kind of level of tech it be a depth sentence because soembody could be entering in your blind spot without you checking even though you have already looked there

    Great video and lots of fun! Agree with a lot you were talking about here.
    To me Smart park and the side view camera thing are gimmicks that offer very particular usability. Let’s face it if you can’t get into a parking space between two cars why in the heck would you use smart park to get in there. The owners of the cars next to you would probably key your car because they can’t get in either. The garage example is somewhat viable, but with how slow it moves wouldn’t you rather just clean your garage a little so you can pull in yourself?
    I would be curious how many Hyundai users actually use those functions.

      @JonMoralesLA Місяць тому +1

      I’ve used that feature exactly once in a tight spot where the car that parked after me was way too close for me to open my driver side door. Worked amazingly well in that scenario. Other times I’ve used it was to simply show off the car.

    Why do they put the reserve lights not actually on the lights. Why are they so down low where hardly anyone can see it ? I never liked disconnecting the reverse lights from the brake lights housing. You can keep them all together.

    • @JonMoralesLA
      @JonMoralesLA Місяць тому

      I mean to be fair most cars won’t make it that long for any number of reasons. It’s quite difficult for a car to go that many miles without being in a vehicle ending collision for one thing. I think a more realistic expectation is for a drivetrain to go 150k miles. That would be a huge win if all vehicles could make it to 150k with the original drivetrain.

    On a full tank of gas, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade provides a range of 395 miles. Maybe i should make that same trip in my Jaguar XJL which provides me with a range of 570 miles.

      I inherited a 2011 Kia sportage and it has one of the recall engines. Even though their "recall" is just installing a knock sensor to detect vibration before the rod goes through the block. The dealer experience has been terrible too, they didn't even want to be bothered but I threatened to call corporate, only then did they actually make an appointment for me.
      But their claim is they'll give me a 150k or 15 year extended warranty, but you must keep documentation of oil changes during the ownership.
