Many years ago, I worked for a short while at Aldershot Football Club (installing seating) we often ate in 'Johnny Gurkha's' restaurant, who I understand was a retired Gurkha soldier who remained in Aldershot and opened his restaurant. I recall the place was only open to Sergeant rank and above for the serving soldiers. Enjoyable times.
Edit: I've just seen Johney Gurka's on the video. Surely it can't be the same place after 40 years!
