I’m from the UK, just wanna say I appreciate all Gurkhas and Nepalese people over here. Greeting from England 🇬🇧🤝🇳🇵
I'm from New Zealand and just wanna say i appreciate all Gurkhali and Nepali people here in New Zealand. Kia ora from NZ ;-)
I'd swap those chavs in the beginning for veteran noble Gurkhas anyday. They served to protect the country, they earn every right to retire in the UK if they wish.
I think those Chavs feel threatened by foreign faces. I doubt these retired Gurkhas and families will be causing any troubles for others. They seem peaceful and minding their own business.
After Watching this I realized , The Elders Could have Much more Better life in Nepal itself .
@wrong notes Nepali government is slowly starting to provide care homes in Nepal for elderly Nepali citizens who don't have family to support them, but this is mainly in Ktm and other big cities.
They could my grandfather served in the army ,he gets plenty for a month has several houses rented , affordable medical bills in ktm more than enough 😂
@wrong notes Fair comment bhai and i agree with everything you say. I believe one of the reasons why Nepali people are so resilient and caring for each other is because they have learned that they cannot rely on the corrupt practices of government to help them, so they must do things for themselves to survive. There is an English saying: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger". So many Nepalis in remote areas have gained strength through adversity.
I think young British generation people don’t like the Gorkhas of not knowing how they have sacrificed and contributed for the country.
kumar moktan I’m 18 and very thankful for the Gurkhas and Nepalese people, i wish to visit Nepal someday.
George A yes please visit our country. You are welcome anytime🙏. Please convey my regards to the royal family 🥰
They don’t give a fuck , to them Gurkhas are just mercenaries who wanted good money that would have been given to other britishers instead, other would have sacrificed instead of them. ITS NOT AN HONOR TO DIE FOR OTHERS CAUSE ,ITS JUST A CHOICE THATS ALL ITS NOT HEROISM IN ANY MANNER
kumar moktan Thani you my friend, I wish you and you’re family good health and long life 🇬🇧❤️🇳🇵
They can have far more better life in Nepal, especially the elderly ones.
Exactly this is honestly sad to see i wish Nepal Government who is shit do something for older generations because its really hard to adjust in uk esp when u dont understand english. Rising anti immigrant sentiment will cause further problem in UK. I dk what people will do when the hate crime goes up against ex gurkhas.
Izat ta hunxa Kamse kam nepal ma aafnai citizen vanera tya jasto hunna. Youth vaye samma lutne bhudo vaye paxi xadne.J vaye ni aafno desh vanya aafnai hunxa
@vunderground1 I have nothing to say to selfish people, Nepal is dirty vanira matrai hunna, first you need to clean your head so that Nepal will be a haven for all nepali people.. people say nepal ma yo bayana thio vayanavanira, thio aarkai ko desh ma basira. don't you think its also ur responsibility to clean if anything is dirty whether it being place or politics? If you think it's not your duty than at least don't comment on Nepal and i am sorry for my words
For all Gurkhas, Britain is a home, nobody can deny that. We fought for this country, sacrificed family time, separations for years with wives and children, missing out own child grow up. Took part in every major battle since 1815. We are the part of Britain. Many British people accept the fact that Gurkhas have every rights to live here. Just some of them are not aware what we have done for this country. We need to reeducate them when oppourtunity arise. At the same time our elderly needs to put some effort to learn the British way of life and accept the new culture and changes if they want to be accepted with open arm. We as a younger generation of Gurkhas have duties and responsibilies to show them a way and help them to transit through this difficult time they are facing. We need to do more. They need us, they need our help.
Gurkhas should be more than welcome in this country, all very respectful and brave people. 🇬🇧🤝🇳🇵
From a British lad, and I'd imagine I'm speaking for the large majority - This is your home. Never think otherwise!
@@DanielFTW96
Much appreciated🙏. We all feel welcomed in Britain and are always proud to be together side by side.
Yes I understand our Nepalese elderly wants better life for their kids n they come to UK with the hope of getting that opportunity n they want to settle here in UK but I think life with dignity and freedom where they can express their feelings and communicate with everyone around is much more valuable in retire life! After all they have worked very hard throughout their life now it's time to enjoy the rest of days! Everyday Life in UK for elderly is struggle!!! Especially if they don't have anyone else to look after them!
One of the most down to earth people. Simple, hardworking guys i have ever seen.
I'm British and hold the Gurkha's in high regard, I will always be grateful for their service to my country, these people have earned the right to settle in the UK and be treated accordingly, they have contributed more towards the UK's national interest than the vast majority of native Brits will ever do.
Never forget that.
Bruhhh..... Those old nepali couples remind me of my grandpa and granny.....
He was hawaldaar at Indian 4/11 GR
Though he is not with us ..
I really miss him ...
This is soo precious to me...
Thank u soo much for bringing back those golden memories with grandpa...
❤️❤️
i could not understand yet that why the elderly ex gurkhas are living in UK in this poor condition? They can live good life in Nepal
Because they are still hopeful, they have been ripped off of their salary. The money they should be paid isn't paid therefore they want to stay and FIGHT FOR CHANGE. They will not receive much pension if move back to nepal
I’m from the UK, just wanna say I appreciate you guys very much. Just wish everyone else did too
I personally am happy that the Nepalese people are in England caus alot of them have done a great job in our Army and are such nice people so I think they deserve a home in our country.
Can't say anything about the British govt. but I highly appreciate the British public for the way they supported the Gurkhas and fought for their rights against their own govt. Righteous people, they seem to be.
I am Indian but my heart made for Nepal, it's so hard for me to see those elderly people, they are not happy, They are feeling so awkward, I might be wrong but what I seen in Nepal and Indian Nepalese people that they are happy
I guess if they are receiving pension from u.k government their retired life would be much enjoyable in Nepal.
That's exactly what I think. If you have overseas pension, then life can be beautiful for retired Nepalese living in Nepal rather than UK. Hoina?

Very interesting scenes. Nice to include the public perception. Really well done. It was amazing!!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
This video wrench my heart. They might want to live there but I just wish they would be happy wherever they are staying cause they deserve it so much.
No value of life in Nepal that is why millions of people are all over the world looking for a better future.
amazing work. appreciate how you kept the video raw and interesting throughout the whole duration. big up's brother
Proud to be nepali💕💕💖lots of love from nepal to all the nepali person living there in UK .
thank you for documenting kiran! 1st hand uha harubatai kura sunna puda khushi lagyo!
It’s my pleasure. It was wonderful speaking to these sweet people and sharing their story. :)
Bittersweet moments in this video. One would argue that these people can have better life in Nepal but they served UK so they have rights to stay there if they wish. Although, they can have a comfortable lifestyle in Nepal with the amount they receive as pensions.
Yo video herda mukh ma arkai tara khusi wala muskan aayo 😄 Love to all my Nepali dd bhai haru lai 💓
Were those white guys ice addict or just racist? They don't know how these Nepalese gave their blood and tears for their country? I liked the other white guy in the skate park. Sounded down to earth.
When you are dealing with kids, make sure to remember that most of them may only know the act of gratitude but not understand it. Perhaps, with age, they may come to realize it.
@@Kidkromechan true but most of these British kids have crossed their limits. Last year they attacked an old Nepalese ex soldier with stones. And I've been hearing these type of news every year.
My father passed away last year n he never got his British pension, he served for British army for many years n never got justice, this is how threated him
Bimarsha Guragain basically once you leave the army you are automatically a british citizen and depending on what rank you leave on you get a certain amount of pension pre month. You also receive a large amount of money which also depends on your rank. For example my dad is retiring soon and he will receive 80,000 pounds and 3,000 every month. Hope that helps.
Sorry for you’re loss my friend, I’m from the UK and just wanna say I’m sorry our government doesn’t give you what you deserve. I appreciate the Nepalese people very much 🇬🇧🤝🇳🇵
@@sonampaldensherpa so it means all the years he served for British army was in vain or does not have any value for ur country. wow
Respect for British army
Dhendup Yolmo he deserved his pension, sorry for you’re loss my friend. I’m sorry for my government
Very very sad life for old people in uk ,hk n other foreign countries pls come back nepal you deserve a good life not fake one ,we need change✊

Last ma bolne uncle was my favourite ♥️. He really nailed it😂. I feel sad though looking at the helplessness of our people specially the elderly ones😣.
Haha Last Ko Uncle Le Hasutaunu Vayo hai..But He is Honest And his words are true💕💕
last one at the end:
Gurkha man : Budi le pani jhandai chodera gayo
His wife : Tyasto kura ni vanney ho ta ni
Gurkha man : ho vanney ho
This shows the honesty of that man.
Yes many gurkha's served Britain but especially at old age home will always will be where they are comfortable with friends and family that they were born around. I feel very sad when j see the elderly in Aldershot.....they just look so lost...it is just a sacrifice for their future generations..
I'd take a Gurkha as a neighbour any day over those alleyway chavs.
Great people, great fighters and though they come from a foreign land, I consider them as fellow Brits for what their contributions.
I live right next to aldershot and couldn't agree more, it's the chavvy bastard ruining the place, not the nepalis
Please Share this Video to Raise Awareness to all the Nepalese Living in Nepal & all over the World. Jai Gorkhali!
Love u from India
Staying in Nepal i always wonder what sort of life Nepali British army live after retirement.....hope they will be receiving
good facilities and respect for serving UK. Love & peace
Please sir make such environment for those our elderly citizens so, that they can again unit with Nepal and live their life proudly, peacefully and happily.Help them to return Nepal. They would be such greatful to you all.
Thanks.

Thank you for showing me how hard it is now I can teach my parents 56 and 59 English
I love our elderly baba aamaharu 🙏😍 and certainly everybody needs a while to settle in new place. They definitely need support at the beginning and there are government and volunteer organisations to help them. They truly deserve to stay in UK. We are here because of them so special.

Dhaanyevhaat dai, I am looking to make this type of video in Swindon too.
These are amongst the People who gave their Blood, Sweat and Tears like rest of the Brits. They deserved to be Respected and Treated better. Them kids saying bad things about these ex-Gurkhas need to know that these old people have done more for Britain than them.
Exactly. Well they nuthing better to do than yap bullshit, live off benefits, spread hate n get high from the benefit money
They get paid well for their service..
Gorkha fight under no flag but for good life and money....
Thnks for the video. Made me laugh seeing our senior citizens manage to adjust new society. But I think they are better off in Nepal but it is also good to have new environment in life.
Grandmother talk like my grandmother. She used to talk like her. I passed away in 2013 still i miss her. 😌
Such an emotional documentary. I guess it kind of depicts how the Gurkhas have been living in the UK. It was extremely upsetting seeing that some families have been struggling due to language barrier and other problems. Lastly, the ending cracked me up a lot. Didn’t know about the due payments too. Our grandparents and forefathers have surely struggled a lot for the life we’re living today. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🇳🇵

Should be given every chance to be comfortable in this country you fight for us you have more than earned your right to stay.
I really feel sorry for the veterans...While they were Young they served a nation without any bias or discrimination n today they r living a life of discrimination

Crossing the road is a big problem for these Nepalese people here in Ashford Kent as well.
I wish all Gurkha veterans an amazing life
British youths need to understand that the life they were enjoying today there is lot of sacrifices made by this gurkhas.plz be gentle to them if you cant help them thats ok but plz never hurt them also coz you might n't know but your great grandfathers surely knows how gurkha people helps them in adversity.
After seeing all those elderly Nepalese (baba/ama) in that foreign country, I felt really pity about my own country Nepal. I bet many of them would live in Nepal if we had good system, rules and regulations in our own country.
Those who blame system/ government, can't do any shit by themselves..
Great documentary, well filmed and well edited. I also want to know about the lives of children of gorkhas who grow up in HK or UK. Do they feel nepali or british? respond to this comment if you are young british nepali.
Thank You. I think it really depends on many factors. Most of the older generations still feel very much Nepali even after holding the British Nationality. In my opinion the young kids definitely feel more British than Nepali.
@@KiranNembangtv that's to be expected I suppose. Thanks for responding :)
I feel so bad.. and Ik ppl already said this but they would actually have a better life in nepal. and i kind of know this from experience especially w elderly ppl bc they have hard times adjusting to new environment where everything is different. My grandparents came to the usa to visit for 6 months, and even though they were w me and my family the whole time, they were dreding living here and wanted to go back to nepal.
Kiran Nembang can you pls subscribe to my other channel (cooking channel) called Lokshree Gautam but it’s a green l profile pic 🥺
Subtitle Correction at 4:17 - “Aunsi” is no moon/ moonless night.
New Moon day is “Poornima”.
‘Aunsi’ is new moon day and ‘Poornima’ is full moon day. So, subtitle is correct.
What you listen and what you see is totally a different they would have lived their old life far better in Nepal 🇳🇵
Afno desh mai ramro huncha. Felt pity for the elderly couple who met with an accident. Choose your native country over foreign 🤘
Although their day to day life is not easy they have an incentive to come to UK. They are entitled to the same benefits as the country's citizens, including housing benefit, pension credits and access to the National Health Service, which they would not receive in Nepal.
With my pension , I would rather come back to Nepal n live a better life here in my own country.
We want British people to help us to regain our lost territories from india
Hello any Nepalese people that see this, greeting from the UK with much respect 🇬🇧🤝🇳🇵
Edit: thanks everyone 😀👋❤️
