I would like to suggest you to do more reaction videos for EXO concerts versions. You can see more clearly their vocals and group work there. I cant stop watching your videos for EXO. Your reaction, comments and explanation are so practical and realistic. I love how you can see EXO's vocals and their background harmonies and group work. And i would like you also to do videos for EXO albums' side track songs . For me, their side track and winter albums are like treasure. So, im waiting for your next EXO videos.

I'm a born and bred American who fell into the Kpop hole around 2006....I was having a blast enjoying groups like Girls Generation, Super Junior. SHINEE, f(x), TVXQ, and soloists like RAIN and IU. When Exo made their appearance in 2011, I fell in love with their vocals. Because I love R&B and ballads, as my Kpop journey continued, I wasn't seeing too many other groups sing in the style that Exo did. They had a way of putting that emotion into their ballads, and it was breathtaking for me, I couldn't believe what I was hearing....it clearly steered me away from Western music as a whole, with a few exceptions, as I love all kinds of music. Yes, Exo had their cute, very poppy songs...but when Miracles In December dropped, as I also learned the lyrics, the song made me tear up, it was sad but beautiful... I never liked Christmas songs till today, but that song made me very emotional, and I considered it a song to cry to...and from 2014 till today, it has become a winter song that I need to listen to at least once every year, and it makes me sad for a bit, (Christmas in general does) but I switched on their happier winter songs right after.... For Life is also a great ballad done in the style I like. With their ballads, it may seem like easy listening music to those that just look for fast paced dance and rap, but it is something that I need, along with that type of up beat music, and I haven't found any other Kpop music that comes close to the way Exo does winter ballads. And that's why they are called vocal kings. And I agree, whoever composed and arranged these songs know what they are doing. Kyungsoo is my ultimate bias because of his voice. I love them all, but he is something special to me. Other b-side winter favorites are What I Want For Christmas, Wait, and Goodnite, where lyric videos are available. I wasn't a fan of ballads before EXO. I'm sure there are others who do them well, but for me EXO make ballads sincere, warm and calming. They are simply beautiful. It was great to hear you giving reasons for why that might be so.
For life has an English version sung by D.O.. and captions only started around 2018 in SM songs. Also nothing beats Exo ballads! Baby don't cry, the concert version, wait, been through and so many are a must watch
When Miracles in December was being promoted in music shows, the search phrase “the one in the middle” trended a lot, referring to Chen. This is due to Chen solely promoting in Exo-M in China up until then (2013). So for many Koreans watching music shows, they were seeing and hearing EXO vocalist’s Chen for the first time and they were really impressed and wanting to learn his name. A bit regrettable that Chen’s talent wasn’t recognized in Korea’s kpop scene (and even among most korean and international Exo fans at the time because for the most part they focused on Exo K not Exo M) for 1.5yrs after debut due to him being in Exo-M. But today he is recognized in the kpop industry as one of the top vocalists due not only his work in Exo but his solo music as well. Hope you react to some soon! I will keep hyping “Light of My Life” (has mv), “Mirage of Flower” (no mv), and. “Free World” (no mv) from his latest (Japanese) album :). His most widely known release though is his Korean solo debut single “Beautiful Goodbye” (has mv) which is a very bittersweet and emotional ballad.

Miracles in December Divided into three sections , Chen tells the story of regret in relationships, “friends, love, or family.” The inability to see the suffering of the other party in the relationship, seeps into your heart with the calm sound of the piano. D.O singing for love and hope for a return in his smooth voice Like love , and Baekhyun tells the disappointment and loss of hope in his sorrow tone. Which conveys feeling.. such a Gem ،and the whole MV is my trauma because of what Exo went through the next year (2014) got me into deep depression .
"Miracles In December" actually features the 4 main vocalists in EXO. If you haven't yet, you should check out the Mandarin version as well. If you have never heard the Mandarin version, then you are missing out on hearing Luhan's beautiful voice also. :D In the EXO-M version of "Miracles in December" you will see that Luhan sings instead of D.O. Luhan was one of the main vocalists in EXO-M. Chen and Luhan are both EXO-M members so they sang the Mandarin songs, and to round out the vocals Baekhyun subbed in as an EXO-M member. :D "Miracles in December" is part of EXO's winter comeback releases, so, as you heard, it's a ballad. EXO's winter albums are always their ballad albums. Up until the last few years EXO used to come out with 3 to 4 albums a year -- a summer album that was more of their mainstream hype songs and a repackaged album a few weeks later, and then, in the winter, they would release another album that was more of a holiday album and it was all slower ballad songs. But the last few years EXO's first comeback of the year hasn't been until the end of the year -- for example, Don't Mess Up My Tempo was released in November 2018 and the Obsession album didn't come out until November 2019. So, I guess, because the first album and repackage were released so late in the year, SM decided that releasing a winter holiday album would just be too soon after the other album. So, we haven't gotten a new winter album for several years now. Which, I think is a shame because EXO's ballads are really beautiful and I enjoy them almost more than their other songs. Now to explain what is happening in the story in the MV. If you notice, Xiumin was the one that made it snow. Xiumin has the power to control ice/frost/snow, so anytime something has to do with these weather elements they will focus on him. In the MV you see Xiumin in the red sweater and the black vest with the lapel pin that is shaped like EXO's logo. He steps outside and looks up at the sky and at that moment his pin shimmers and it begins to snow. It is thought that the members' powers are tied to their emotions, so when Xiumin is sad or melancholy, he almost can't help it, and he will make it snow. Next, we see Tao stop time. Yes, Tao has the power of time control, so he is the one that turned back time and then instantly brought time back to the present again. The snow was falling in reverse at one point because Tao was rewinding time. Then you see everything pause for a second and the snow starts falling down again when he brings everything back to the present. As you may have noticed, there was an eclipse. Eclipses affect the members' powers and it is also where they gather strength, etc. So, you will see them focus on an eclipse or something to do with the moon and sun, or other planetary phenomenon, in a lot of EXO's storyline. This even happens in live performances. You will see instances of them using their powers to control things that happen on stage during live concert performances. Suho makes it rain on stage, Xiumin will make it snow, Chanyeol will control fire, Chen will control the thunder and lightning, Baekhyun often makes the lights go on and off, etc. If you keep this all in mind when you watch any of their MVs or live performances, it's kind of fun to search for the instances where they are using their powers. In some MVs and songs the members use their powers more than others, but at least one member will use their powers in almost everything they do, it just might be more subtle sometimes than others. So, this is just another element of EXO's performances that make watching them unique. I think of "Miracles in December" as a kind of breakup song that is about how the holidays makes you nostalgic for that loved one that you are no longer with. It makes you remember all the good times and makes you wish you were together even though you know, deep down, you are better off now that you have broken up. As I see it, all the gifts are supposed to be what they would have given to their girlfriends if they hadn't broken up before the holidays. I interpret the story as, "she" was a different girl for each of the members, and "she" was not meeting any of them, she was a memory of a past relationship that was no more. That's why Tao turns back time for a moment to relive being in the relationship, but then quickly returns to the present because he knows, deep down, he is better off and that you really can't go back in time and expect to fix everything in the relationship. That's why they are all sad and crying because they are heartbroken. I like to think, for example, that the puppy was probably going to be a present for Kai's girlfriend, but now that they have broken up, it just reminds him of her. It's kind of a bittersweet memory. :D The "miracle" is that the girl had such a profound impact on their life that, even though they aren't together anymore, she will always play a big role in his life history, etc. The "miracle" is that the holidays give you a reason to look back and reflect on those special moments in life, and even though the memories might make them sad because they are no longer able to make new memories together, the old memories are still there. And the "miracle" is that he has now realized she has taught him so much about love and life, but unfortunately, he has realized it too late and he can't go back, so he is sad. He's now upset because he is unable to show her the appreciation she deserves, etc., etc. And, if you like the studio version of "Miracles in December," just wait until you see them perform this song live in concert. I think you will fall in love with it even more. :D
Thank you for your genuine reaction and analysis to EXO's songs. All EXO’s winter songs are so beautiful and I would like to suggest a gem that only a few reactors have reacted to it. It is one of my favourite EXO's beautiful winter song "Wait". I really love their beautiful vocal with only simple guitar background in this song. As mentioned by EXO in an interview for their Love Shot-the fifth album repackage that this song was originally selected for their winter album, but due to some reason, there was no winter album after their last "Universe" 2017 Winter Album, they included this song for EXO-L so that we could have a winter song. There is no MV for "Wait", you can react to the fan made lyrics MV and their live performance in “[0xFESTA with EXO #3]” with all members or the performance in their concert in Japan (only 6 members because D.O and Xiumin were in the military). Even the composer of Wait was very happy because he knew this song was for EXO’s winter album but for some reasons, it was not included in every winter album and he has almost forgot about it. I'm not sure if anyone commented this yet, but the one turning time back is Tao. He is one of the former EXO members, that left the group in 2015, and his power in EXO was time control. Once you get to know the members and their powers you will start noticing things like this in the music videos.

I think "For Life" is one of EXO's more confusing MVs, as far as the storyline, however, I also think it might be one of the most important. So, to possibly help you understand the story, here is my interpretation of what is happening in the MV. One theory is that the girl is helping EXO escape the Red Force's control. In the first scene you see Kai as he exits a building and gets into his car to leave. It is thought that the building might be the bar where we see the members in their "Sing For You" MV. As he walks out of the building, they focus on the “You Were Here” neon sign. So the sign is supposed to be foreshadowing how EXO was once there, but they have now left. As we see at the end of the MV, Kai also chooses to leave. (Notice when the sign is lit up it's blue, not red.) To understand the role of the girl and the bracelet in the story you really have to pay attention to every detail of the MV. When the girl hands Kai the bracelet it's almost as if he is confused like he is not sure who the girl is, but he feels like he should know her. He looks at the bracelet as if he is trying to remember something. We then see him close his eyes as if he is searching his memories. If you notice, the jewel on the bracelet is made of amber, and as one of the main themes within EXO's story, it is speculated that the girl in EXO's songs and MVs is supposed to be a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life, so the fact that the bracelet is adorned with amber -- which is a mineral that comes from the sap of a tree -- it is thought to be a nod to the fact that she represents the Tree of Life, or she is at least leaving them with a clue to help them in their search for the Tree of Life, etc. It is also thought that the bracelet can absorb and reflect the moon's light, and the moon is what gives EXO their powers. So even in the dark, as long as they have the bracelet, they will still be able to access the power of the moon. Next, the MV transitions to Suho, who wakes up in a forest. Some say the forest in "For Life" is the same forest we see Suho in in his "Call Me Baby" Pathcode teaser where he is searching for something and can't seem to find it. When Suho wakes up we see him holding the same bracelet that was given to Kai, right as he catches sight of the girl running away. He chases after her, but he is unable to catch her. At the end of his search we see he ends up in a white room as he stares at his reflection in the mirror. However, you have to pay really close attention, because as the scene starts to transition from the forest to the room with the mirrors -- if you look closely at the background in the scene where we see him running in the forest -- it no longer looks like he is in the forest, but instead the forest is an image being projected on a white video screen behind him. Some say the "movie screen" is the same screen we see Chen standing in front of in their "Lucky One" MV, which may indicate that EXO are still trapped by the Red Force and everything that is happening in "For Life" is a dream. Then we see Suho walking down a hallway, which ends up leading into the room with the mirrors. It is thought that if EXO are still stuck in the maze like we see in "Overdose" and "Lucky One," then Suho is just entering another chamber or room in the Red Force's trap. Once Suho enters the room with the mirrors, we see him looking at his reflection and the bracelet almost as if he is trying to remembers something as well. Some say because they have been trapped in the maze for so long, they are starting to forget what they are doing there and what their mission on Earth is supposed to be, so the spirit of the Tree of Life -- which manifests as the girl in the MV -- is coming to each of the members to help remind them that they need to come to their senses and fight back and try to escape. And then you see Chanyeol now has the bracelet, and he is staring at it as if he is also trying to remember something. He then catches a glimpse of the girl and he follows her, where he seems to end up in another room in the maze. Here he is the first one to catch up to the girl and actually interact with her. As we see him standing in front of the girl, it seems as though he now realizes who she is and that she needs to pass on the message to Kai. So Chanyeol puts the bracelet on her wrist in an unspoken request for her to deliver this message to Kai. All along it has been thought that maybe some, or all, of the members are stuck in different dimensions or time periods -- which we have seen references to in some of their other MVs, such as "Tempo" and "Love Shot," etc. -- so it is thought that the reason why the girl needs to be the one to deliver the message is because Chanyeol is stuck in a different time period or location than Kai. Also something to note, the rooms that Suho and Chanyeol are trapped in look very similar to the rooms they are trapped in in the beginning of "Overdose," however, in "Overdose" the maze looks dark because all the members are still in a memory fog caused by the Red Force. But in "For Life" the rooms are white because EXO are starting to break free and come out of that fog like we see them doing in their "Lucky One" MV, which also takes place in a white room. After delivering her message to Suho and Chanyeol the girl -- or spirit of the Tree of Life -- wakes up now in Kai's time period or relm, and sees the bracelet on her wrist, which reminds her that she needs to hurry and find Kai and deliver the message. However, we discover that the girl is also trapped in her own maze or time loop, so she tries to retrace her steps from her dream to try and find Kai. She first goes to the room with the lights, but instead of the lights turning on like they did when Chanyeol completed his part of the mission, the lights turned off when she entered the room as if to say this is not the right time or location. So she moves on to the next place. You see her now frantically running through the room with the video screen searching for a way out of the maze. Eventually you see the girl end up back in the same location where the MV started, where the dream world now becomes reality, with her handing the bracelet to Kai as he prepares to leave. You see her complete her mission as Kai escapes the Red Forces' grasp and heads off to try and find the other members. And the "You Were Here" sign turns off as if to say that this time and place has now ceased to exist like waking up from a dream, as Kai has now broken free from the Red Forces' control. As you may remember, Kai means opening as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize that he is the one who connects all the members together and it's his job, with the power of teleportation, to travel all over the world, and between time periods and dimensions, to find and bring the members back together, so they can complete their quest to reunite the two halves of the Tree of Life in order to restore peace. This is also one of the reasons why, as part of EXO's storyline, we think Kai and Baekhyun decided to form SuperM. If Baekhyun, and now Kai, have been able to avoid or break free from the Red Forces' control, they now need to recruit the other members of SM's groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, Ten from WayV and Lucas who is a former member of WayV -- to help them rescue the other EXO members from the Red Forces' control. That's why in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV we see Taeyong and Kai looking at a picture of what looks like a map on their phone. (Which is thought could be a digital copy of the map we see on the wall in Baekhyun's solo "UN Village" MV and in EXO-CBX's "Horololo" MV.) Some theories think that it's a map of the maze that the Red Force has the EXO members trapped in. Therefore, SuperM is using the map to try and locate the other EXO members. That also could be why we see Taemin receive a message about aespa at the end of "One (Monster & Infinity)" as a clue that they need to find aespa in order to accomplish their tasks. aespa is now thought to be the guardians of the Tree of Life who were tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree. We see aespa and their avatars with what is thought to be the Tree of Life in aespa's "Savage" MV. Another thing to pay attention to is the use of red and blue light. When you see the red light this is where the Red Force is thought to have control and when you see blue, this is thought to be where EXO has started to break free and they are in control. When you see purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- or both red and blue together in the same scene, this is often where the lines are blurred and the Red Force and EXO are fighting for control or battling each other for power. There is actually a lot more connections you can make from the "For Life" MV storyline to EXO's other MVs, but that would take more time and space than one comment would allow, so I will leave you to continue discovering more connections on your own. :D In the "For Life" MV you only see Kai, Suho and Chanyeol, but all 9 members are singing in the song. I'm not really sure why SM only chose to include 3 of the members in the MV, but it may be connected to the reason why we now see only Kai, Suho and Chanyeol with pieces of the meteor (rocks) in EXO's new "Let Me In" MV. If you look up the lyrics to the song you will see it's actually not a breakup song, but a vow to continue to be there for the person you love for life. Hence why it is often considered one of the best songs to be sung at a wedding. Next, if you haven't already, you should check out D.O.'s live English version of the song in concert. There is also a Mandarin version with a similar MV. However, the Mandarin lyrics are slightly different than the Korean and English lyrics, so you should look up all the versions to see and hear the differences. :D

For more Miracles in December, I recommend the live version from Tokyo Dome. So good! (Has subtitles!) Also, I'd recommend watching the Mandarin version of the official video. You swap out D.O. for Luhan, and it's just as gorgeous as the Korean version.

I like your reactions, however your deal with falsetto is a bit frustrating. 😅 Not everyone can have a 4 octave range and falsetto can be really nice tool in bringing a different emotion if executed well.
thank you.... As a singer myself I don't care about other singers having skill or technique ... they need to touch me emotionally. And a man singing in falsetto does not touch me at all. I don't mind it if there is a falsetto tone or word at the end of a sentence or a line but not a full part. I can go with a softer voice but not that high. For my ears those ranges are good for a female singer. And if a male singer should go so high then with a fuller voice from the chest or even head voice... In the end it is all about preference. I understand why ppl like it. I just don't feel it.
This is what makes Exo so special. Only a very few groups could do the ballads like this but also excel at the uptempo bangers (BTOB, Super Junior and Shinee)

I'm a born and bred American who fell into the Kpop hole around 2006....I was having a blast enjoying groups like Girls Generation, Super Junior. SHINEE, f(x), TVXQ, and soloists like RAIN and IU.
When Exo made their appearance in 2011, I fell in love with their vocals. Because I love R&B and ballads, as my Kpop journey continued, I wasn't seeing too many other groups sing in the style that Exo did. They had a way of putting that emotion into their ballads, and it was breathtaking for me, I couldn't believe what I was hearing....it clearly steered me away from Western music as a whole, with a few exceptions, as I love all kinds of music.
Yes, Exo had their cute, very poppy songs...but when Miracles In December dropped, as I also learned the lyrics, the song made me tear up, it was sad but beautiful...
I never liked Christmas songs till today, but that song made me very emotional, and I considered it a song to cry to...and from 2014 till today, it has become a winter song that I need to listen to at least once every year, and it makes me sad for a bit, (Christmas in general does) but I switched on their happier winter songs right after....
For Life is also a great ballad done in the style I like.
With their ballads, it may seem like easy listening music to those that just look for fast paced dance and rap, but it is something that I need, along with that type of up beat music, and I haven't found any other Kpop music that comes close to the way Exo does winter ballads. And that's why they are called vocal kings. And I agree, whoever composed and arranged these songs know what they are doing.
Kyungsoo is my ultimate bias because of his voice. I love them all, but he is something special to me.
Other b-side winter favorites are What I Want For Christmas, Wait, and Goodnite, where lyric videos are available. Since tis' the season, maybe you can check them out before the end of the year comes.....

I wasn't a fan of ballads before EXO. I'm sure there are others who do them well, but for me EXO make ballads sincere, warm and calming. They are simply beautiful. It was great to hear you giving reasons for why that might be so.

When Miracles in December was being promoted in music shows, the search phrase “the one in the middle” trended a lot, referring to Chen. This is due to Chen solely promoting in Exo-M in China up until then (2013). So for many Koreans watching music shows, they were seeing and hearing EXO vocalist’s Chen for the first time and they were really impressed and wanting to learn his name. A bit regrettable that Chen’s talent wasn’t recognized in Korea’s kpop scene (and even among most korean and international Exo fans at the time because for the most part they focused on Exo K not Exo M) for 1.5yrs after debut due to him being in Exo-M. But today he is recognized in the kpop industry as one of the top vocalists due not only his work in Exo but his solo music as well. Hope you react to some soon! I will keep hyping “Light of My Life” (has mv), “Mirage of Flower” (no mv), and. “Free World” (no mv) from his latest (Japanese) album :). His most widely known release though is his Korean solo debut single “Beautiful Goodbye” (has mv) which is a very bittersweet and emotional ballad.

Miracles in December Divided into three sections , Chen tells the story of regret in relationships, “friends, love, or family.” The inability to see the suffering of the other party in the relationship, seeps into your heart with the calm sound of the piano. D.O singing for love and hope for a return in his smooth voice Like love , and Baekhyun tells the disappointment and loss of hope in his sorrow tone. Which conveys feeling.. such a Gem ،and the whole MV is my trauma because of what Exo went through the next year (2014) got me into deep depression .

"Miracles In December" actually features the 4 main vocalists in EXO. If you haven't yet, you should check out the Mandarin version as well. If you have never heard the Mandarin version, then you are missing out on hearing Luhan's beautiful voice also. :D In the EXO-M version of "Miracles in December" you will see that Luhan sings instead of D.O. Luhan was one of the main vocalists in EXO-M. Chen and Luhan are both EXO-M members so they sang the Mandarin songs, and to round out the vocals Baekhyun subbed in as an EXO-M member. :D
"Miracles in December" is part of EXO's winter comeback releases, so, as you heard, it's a ballad. EXO's winter albums are always their ballad albums. Up until the last few years EXO used to come out with 3 to 4 albums a year -- a summer album that was more of their mainstream hype songs and a repackaged album a few weeks later, and then, in the winter, they would release another album that was more of a holiday album and it was all slower ballad songs. But the last few years EXO's first comeback of the year hasn't been until the end of the year -- for example, Don't Mess Up My Tempo was released in November 2018 and the Obsession album didn't come out until November 2019. So, I guess, because the first album and repackage were released so late in the year, SM decided that releasing a winter holiday album would just be too soon after the other album. So, we haven't gotten a new winter album for several years now. Which, I think is a shame because EXO's ballads are really beautiful and I enjoy them almost more than their other songs.
Now to explain what is happening in the story in the MV. If you notice, Xiumin was the one that made it snow. Xiumin has the power to control ice/frost/snow, so anytime something has to do with these weather elements they will focus on him. In the MV you see Xiumin in the red sweater and the black vest with the lapel pin that is shaped like EXO's logo. He steps outside and looks up at the sky and at that moment his pin shimmers and it begins to snow. It is thought that the members' powers are tied to their emotions, so when Xiumin is sad or melancholy, he almost can't help it, and he will make it snow.
Next, we see Tao stop time. Yes, Tao has the power of time control, so he is the one that turned back time and then instantly brought time back to the present again. The snow was falling in reverse at one point because Tao was rewinding time. Then you see everything pause for a second and the snow starts falling down again when he brings everything back to the present.
As you may have noticed, there was an eclipse. Eclipses affect the members' powers and it is also where they gather strength, etc. So, you will see them focus on an eclipse or something to do with the moon and sun, or other planetary phenomenon, in a lot of EXO's storyline.
This even happens in live performances. You will see instances of them using their powers to control things that happen on stage during live concert performances. Suho makes it rain on stage, Xiumin will make it snow, Chanyeol will control fire, Chen will control the thunder and lightning, Baekhyun often makes the lights go on and off, etc. If you keep this all in mind when you watch any of their MVs or live performances, it's kind of fun to search for the instances where they are using their powers. In some MVs and songs the members use their powers more than others, but at least one member will use their powers in almost everything they do, it just might be more subtle sometimes than others. So, this is just another element of EXO's performances that make watching them unique.
I think of "Miracles in December" as a kind of breakup song that is about how the holidays makes you nostalgic for that loved one that you are no longer with. It makes you remember all the good times and makes you wish you were together even though you know, deep down, you are better off now that you have broken up.
As I see it, all the gifts are supposed to be what they would have given to their girlfriends if they hadn't broken up before the holidays.
I interpret the story as, "she" was a different girl for each of the members, and "she" was not meeting any of them, she was a memory of a past relationship that was no more. That's why Tao turns back time for a moment to relive being in the relationship, but then quickly returns to the present because he knows, deep down, he is better off and that you really can't go back in time and expect to fix everything in the relationship. That's why they are all sad and crying because they are heartbroken. I like to think, for example, that the puppy was probably going to be a present for Kai's girlfriend, but now that they have broken up, it just reminds him of her. It's kind of a bittersweet memory. :D
The "miracle" is that the girl had such a profound impact on their life that, even though they aren't together anymore, she will always play a big role in his life history, etc. The "miracle" is that the holidays give you a reason to look back and reflect on those special moments in life, and even though the memories might make them sad because they are no longer able to make new memories together, the old memories are still there. And the "miracle" is that he has now realized she has taught him so much about love and life, but unfortunately, he has realized it too late and he can't go back, so he is sad. He's now upset because he is unable to show her the appreciation she deserves, etc., etc.
And, if you like the studio version of "Miracles in December," just wait until you see them perform this song live in concert. I think you will fall in love with it even more. :D

It is one of my favourite EXO's beautiful winter song "Wait". I really love their beautiful vocal with only simple guitar background in this song. As mentioned by EXO in an interview for their Love Shot-the fifth album repackage that this song was originally selected for their winter album, but due to some reason, there was no winter album after their last "Universe" 2017 Winter Album, they included this song for EXO-L so that we could have a winter song. There is no MV for "Wait", you can react to the fan made lyrics MV and their live performance in “[0xFESTA with EXO #3]” with all members or the performance in their concert in Japan (only 6 members because D.O and Xiumin were in the military).
Even the composer of Wait was very happy because he knew this song was for EXO’s winter album but for some reasons, it was not included in every winter album and he has almost forgot about it. It’s been a long “wait”. Looking forward to your reaction.

I think "For Life" is one of EXO's more confusing MVs, as far as the storyline, however, I also think it might be one of the most important. So, to possibly help you understand the story, here is my interpretation of what is happening in the MV.
One theory is that the girl is helping EXO escape the Red Force's control. In the first scene you see Kai as he exits a building and gets into his car to leave. It is thought that the building might be the bar where we see the members in their "Sing For You" MV. As he walks out of the building, they focus on the “You Were Here” neon sign. So the sign is supposed to be foreshadowing how EXO was once there, but they have now left. As we see at the end of the MV, Kai also chooses to leave. (Notice when the sign is lit up it's blue, not red.)
To understand the role of the girl and the bracelet in the story you really have to pay attention to every detail of the MV. When the girl hands Kai the bracelet it's almost as if he is confused like he is not sure who the girl is, but he feels like he should know her. He looks at the bracelet as if he is trying to remember something. We then see him close his eyes as if he is searching his memories.
If you notice, the jewel on the bracelet is made of amber, and as one of the main themes within EXO's story, it is speculated that the girl in EXO's songs and MVs is supposed to be a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life, so the fact that the bracelet is adorned with amber -- which is a mineral that comes from the sap of a tree -- it is thought to be a nod to the fact that she represents the Tree of Life, or she is at least leaving them with a clue to help them in their search for the Tree of Life, etc. It is also thought that the bracelet can absorb and reflect the moon's light, and the moon is what gives EXO their powers. So even in the dark, as long as they have the bracelet, they will still be able to access the power of the moon.
Next, the MV transitions to Suho, who wakes up in a forest. Some say the forest in "For Life" is the same forest we see Suho in in his "Call Me Baby" Pathcode teaser where he is searching for something and can't seem to find it.
When Suho wakes up we see him holding the same bracelet that was given to Kai, right as he catches sight of the girl running away. He chases after her, but he is unable to catch her. At the end of his search we see he ends up in a white room as he stares at his reflection in the mirror.
However, you have to pay really close attention, because as the scene starts to transition from the forest to the room with the mirrors -- if you look closely at the background in the scene where we see him running in the forest -- it no longer looks like he is in the forest, but instead the forest is an image being projected on a white video screen behind him. Some say the "movie screen" is the same screen we see Chen standing in front of in their "Lucky One" MV, which may indicate that EXO are still trapped by the Red Force and everything that is happening in "For Life" is a dream.
Then we see Suho walking down a hallway, which ends up leading into the room with the mirrors. It is thought that if EXO are still stuck in the maze like we see in "Overdose" and "Lucky One," then Suho is just entering another chamber or room in the Red Force's trap. Once Suho enters the room with the mirrors, we see him looking at his reflection and the bracelet almost as if he is trying to remembers something as well.
Some say because they have been trapped in the maze for so long, they are starting to forget what they are doing there and what their mission on Earth is supposed to be, so the spirit of the Tree of Life -- which manifests as the girl in the MV -- is coming to each of the members to help remind them that they need to come to their senses and fight back and try to escape.
And then you see Chanyeol now has the bracelet, and he is staring at it as if he is also trying to remember something. He then catches a glimpse of the girl and he follows her, where he seems to end up in another room in the maze. Here he is the first one to catch up to the girl and actually interact with her. As we see him standing in front of the girl, it seems as though he now realizes who she is and that she needs to pass on the message to Kai. So Chanyeol puts the bracelet on her wrist in an unspoken request for her to deliver this message to Kai.
All along it has been thought that maybe some, or all, of the members are stuck in different dimensions or time periods -- which we have seen references to in some of their other MVs, such as "Tempo" and "Love Shot," etc. -- so it is thought that the reason why the girl needs to be the one to deliver the message is because Chanyeol is stuck in a different time period or location than Kai.
Also something to note, the rooms that Suho and Chanyeol are trapped in look very similar to the rooms they are trapped in in the beginning of "Overdose," however, in "Overdose" the maze looks dark because all the members are still in a memory fog caused by the Red Force. But in "For Life" the rooms are white because EXO are starting to break free and come out of that fog like we see them doing in their "Lucky One" MV, which also takes place in a white room.
After delivering her message to Suho and Chanyeol the girl -- or spirit of the Tree of Life -- wakes up now in Kai's time period or relm, and sees the bracelet on her wrist, which reminds her that she needs to hurry and find Kai and deliver the message.
However, we discover that the girl is also trapped in her own maze or time loop, so she tries to retrace her steps from her dream to try and find Kai. She first goes to the room with the lights, but instead of the lights turning on like they did when Chanyeol completed his part of the mission, the lights turned off when she entered the room as if to say this is not the right time or location. So she moves on to the next place. You see her now frantically running through the room with the video screen searching for a way out of the maze.
Eventually you see the girl end up back in the same location where the MV started, where the dream world now becomes reality, with her handing the bracelet to Kai as he prepares to leave. You see her complete her mission as Kai escapes the Red Forces' grasp and heads off to try and find the other members. And the "You Were Here" sign turns off as if to say that this time and place has now ceased to exist like waking up from a dream, as Kai has now broken free from the Red Forces' control.
As you may remember, Kai means opening as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize that he is the one who connects all the members together and it's his job, with the power of teleportation, to travel all over the world, and between time periods and dimensions, to find and bring the members back together, so they can complete their quest to reunite the two halves of the Tree of Life in order to restore peace.
This is also one of the reasons why, as part of EXO's storyline, we think Kai and Baekhyun decided to form SuperM. If Baekhyun, and now Kai, have been able to avoid or break free from the Red Forces' control, they now need to recruit the other members of SM's groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, Ten from WayV and Lucas who is a former member of WayV -- to help them rescue the other EXO members from the Red Forces' control. That's why in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV we see Taeyong and Kai looking at a picture of what looks like a map on their phone. (Which is thought could be a digital copy of the map we see on the wall in Baekhyun's solo "UN Village" MV and in EXO-CBX's "Horololo" MV.) Some theories think that it's a map of the maze that the Red Force has the EXO members trapped in. Therefore, SuperM is using the map to try and locate the other EXO members. That also could be why we see Taemin receive a message about aespa at the end of "One (Monster & Infinity)" as a clue that they need to find aespa in order to accomplish their tasks. aespa is now thought to be the guardians of the Tree of Life who were tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree. We see aespa and their avatars with what is thought to be the Tree of Life in aespa's "Savage" MV.
Another thing to pay attention to is the use of red and blue light. When you see the red light this is where the Red Force is thought to have control and when you see blue, this is thought to be where EXO has started to break free and they are in control. When you see purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- or both red and blue together in the same scene, this is often where the lines are blurred and the Red Force and EXO are fighting for control or battling each other for power.
There is actually a lot more connections you can make from the "For Life" MV storyline to EXO's other MVs, but that would take more time and space than one comment would allow, so I will leave you to continue discovering more connections on your own. :D
In the "For Life" MV you only see Kai, Suho and Chanyeol, but all 9 members are singing in the song. I'm not really sure why SM only chose to include 3 of the members in the MV, but it may be connected to the reason why we now see only Kai, Suho and Chanyeol with pieces of the meteor (rocks) in EXO's new "Let Me In" MV.
If you look up the lyrics to the song you will see it's actually not a breakup song, but a vow to continue to be there for the person you love for life. Hence why it is often considered one of the best songs to be sung at a wedding. Next, if you haven't already, you should check out D.O.'s live English version of the song in concert. There is also a Mandarin version with a similar MV. However, the Mandarin lyrics are slightly different than the Korean and English lyrics, so you should look up all the versions to see and hear the differences. :D

For more Miracles in December, I recommend the live version from Tokyo Dome. So good! (Has subtitles!) Also, I'd recommend watching the Mandarin version of the official video. You swap out D.O. for Luhan, and it's just as gorgeous as the Korean version.

yes.. I checked that immediately after the video... and yes it is "Three times a Lady" ... I even ended up playing it a few times on the guitar and singing it that evening. It is one of the most beautiful songs....

I like your reactions, however your deal with falsetto is a bit frustrating. 😅 Not everyone can have a 4 octave range and falsetto can be really nice tool in bringing a different emotion if executed well.
thank you.... As a singer myself I don't care about other singers having skill or technique ... they need to touch me emotionally. And a man singing in falsetto does not touch me at all. I don't mind it if there is a falsetto tone or word at the end of a sentence or a line but not a full part. I can go with a softer voice but not that high. For my ears those ranges are good for a female singer. And if a male singer should go so high then with a fuller voice from the chest or even head voice...
In the end it is all about preference. I understand why ppl like it. I just don't feel it.
