Fun fact: If you notice, during "White Noise" Suho was center stage. They focused on Suho because he used his superpower, which is the ability to control water, to, as you saw, make it rain on stage. Water plays an important role with EXO, and especially during this world tour, because they built a whole section of the stage that has a giant rain machine and a moat so they wanted to get a lot of use out of it. They might not have gotten wet during this performance, but they did get wet in several other stages during this concert/tour, especially Kai, Lay and Sehun -- the main dancers -- who had solo dances in the water, as well. Water also plays an important role in everything EXO does because that is where Suho gets his strength from. So, right before it starts raining you see Suho raise his hand above his head, which is supposed to be him controlling the rain. Then a minute later, during the same song, when the rain turns off, you see the camera focus on Baekhyun and he raises his hand in the air and the lights turn off and a spotlight shines on him. Baekhyun has the power to control light, so he is the one to control the lights. And during "Thunder" the first person they focus on is Chen because he has the power of thunder, so he is the one to control the thunder during that song, and where there is thunder that means there is lightning as well. At one point during "Thunder" you also see Chen spin around with his hands out to his sides and then there is a large streak of lightning behind him and a big thunderclap sound, which is supposed to be him summoning the lightning and thunder. Therefore, Chen has the power of thunder and lighting and because of that he also can control electricity. Kai's shirt isn't ripped, it's designed like that. It has cutouts that were specifically designed to show parts off his arms and torso. Plus, as a dancer Kai's clothing is designed to allow him to be able to move and flex and bend without being restrictive. EXO's "Playboy" was one of numerous songs that was written and co-composed by Jonghyun, SHINee's main vocalist. If you know Jonghyun's R&B style and sound you will probably be able to hear him in this song. This is such a Jonghyun song. Jonghyun's version of "Playboy" has even more of that smooth R&B style and sound. Jonghyun is considered one of the absolute best singers in all of Kpop who was actually a vocal coach and mentor to several of the EXO members when they were trainees. As you can see, everything EXO does has something to do with their origin story and their powers. You will see in future performances other examples of the members using their powers as well. For example, when there is fire elements you will see them focus on Chanyeol because he controls fire and when they sing about snow or winter you will see Xiumin because he controls snow/ice/frost, when Sehun dances there are often things that show him creating a windstorm or controlling the wind, etc. Everything EXO does has something to do with their storyline including their live performances and even some of their choreography. You will see Lay and Kai -- and usually also Sehun -- dancing together in most of the dance break sections of EXO's concerts because they are the main dancers of their respective sub-units and they were meant to mirror each other in their roles in their groups. I personally lost count to how many times I have watched that section from exo’rdium 😍😍 I had it on repeat for a solid year when the concert happened 😂😂 Some of exo’s songs feel as smooth as water, white noise and playboy are two of them, *moonlight, she is dreaming, sweet lies, 24/7* are some of the others that come to my mind as well. As for the layering of voices I truly believe EXO to be one of the groups who truly find ease in harmonizing together 😊 EXO’rdium won best concert for that year for a reason it really was a banger, it is the same concert that had the DJ section in it. To think other concerts don’t fall behind either just tells how great performers exo are, each concert is unique and equally fun with the songs and stages 🤩🤩🤩 I find it interesting that none of the songs in this section come from the same albums, each is from a different album but they just work so well together like that
The EXO powers are presented in the concert. Water(Suho), Lightning (Chen), Light (Baekhyun, when he raised his hand and the lights went off). Chanyeol rapping is so good, it's precise but very fluent, and sexy without being so aggressive like usually the rappers sing. And the rapping of our 🐣 is so cute 🥰. I have been a kpop fan since 2012. I still remember hearing Playboy for the first time and until this day it’s one of my favorite kpop songs ever. EXO really capture the sultry vibe of the song. It was actually written by Jonghyun from SHINee. ❤❤❤Hopefully if you get the chance you can listen to the studio version!
EXO often works their storyline and their superpowers into their concerts via effects, videos, storytelling etc. Here you can see at least three examples: Suho's power is water so he gestures for the water to fall. Baekhyun's power is light so the spotlight is on him at 5:13 and he gestures for the lighting to change at 5:15 Then when the song Thunder begins Chen is spotlighted because his power is thunder and lightning. Their concerts are meticulously planned and incredibly creative (and using water on stage like that has to be done carefully because it's quite dangerous. Easy to slip and also can interact with the electronics if not carefully controlled)
I am glad to see that you are enjoying these amazing, super talented men. You are slowly but surely becoming an EXO-L. As I always say, EXO has only good songs, great songs and amazing songs. You will be surprised how some of their songs you will see as just 'good' the first time you listen to, but if you give it a chance and listen to them a few more times, they can slowly become favorites of yours. That happened to me with 'White Noise' and a few others. The more I listen to some of their songs that were just good in the beginning the more I get to become addicted to them.
It is called "Castañuelas" and although other countries have also used them, where they are still used and the tradition has been best kept is in Spain, in my community they are very typical with the regional costume and their dances...
I just watched your last exo reaction and by chance caught this one right as it uploaded! Thunder, from the Overdose mini album, is one of my fav tracks. I’m biased (12yrs of being a Baekhyun stan) but his unique voice and texture really shine through on these songs. He and D.O sound wonderful together, and in the beginning when they were both in the exo-k subunit, to an unfamiliar ear it was oftentimes difficult to tell their voices apart. They have two duets together-What is Love and Moonlight! I have been a kpop fan since 2012. I still remember hearing Playboy for the first time and until this day it’s one of my favorite kpop songs ever. EXO really capture the sultry vibe of the song. It was actually written by Jonghyun from SHINee. ❤❤❤Hopefully if you get the chance you can listen to the studio version!

I am glad to see that you are enjoying these amazing, super talented men. You are slowly but surely becoming an EXO-L. As I always say, EXO has only good songs, great songs and amazing songs. You will be surprised how some of their songs you will see as just 'good' the first time you listen to, but if you give it a chance and listen to them a few more times, they can slowly become favorites of yours. That happened to me with 'White Noise' and a few others. The more I listen to some of their songs that were just good in the beginning the more I get to become addicted to them.

I just watched your last exo reaction and by chance caught this one right as it uploaded! Thunder, from the Overdose mini album, is one of my fav tracks.
I’m biased (12yrs of being a Baekhyun stan) but his unique voice and texture really shine through on these songs. He and D.O sound wonderful together, and in the beginning when they were both in the exo-k subunit, to an unfamiliar ear it was oftentimes difficult to tell their voices apart. They have two duets together-What is Love and Moonlight!
