I read that India actually exports cows to be slaughtered for other countries. So while India still exploits cows for their milk and claims sanctity by not killing them outright, they are still complicit in the needless exploitation, suffering and slaughter of animals. The dairy industry _is_ the meat industry, and that's the sad reality of it all.
