That was the sixth commandment and didn’t apply to killing animals, but I can understand not wanting to kill animals. There are better options than eating meat.

It is IMPORTANT to encourage or even force cow to stand up immediately after delivery. Have her stand at least an hour before letting her sit down. Maybe this was the issue. It is sad and we all have a story to tell.

There are just too much of emotions. I am proud to say, cows have better chances to survive in India where it used to consider as symbol of wealth. In agricultural times, one doesn't have to kill cows to become wealthy but to keep the cows for life. That's why it is still banned in many of states, even today

Last Sunday I took my family ( 5 adults + 2 children ) to a farm restaurant for Sunday lunch . The farm breeds Charollaise cattle and Herdwick sheep . The meal was excellent , a choice of Charollaise beef or Herdwick lamb , reared on the farm .
Christ is coming and his kingdom is entirely vegetarian, for the lack of the better word. Meanwhile, Larry the cable guy can enjoy primitive lifestyle till then.

I don't understand when Lord Jesus is "love n compassion incarnate" why the so called christian countries are so cruel n heartless towards animals especially towards those who are raised for food, this concept itself is fundamentally so cruel and inhuman,when we have so many vegetarian options available today. Lord jesus would have never ever let this happen if he happens to come back in todays times.
