I just watched avideo on a farm that does this.. she educated me on why. First of all they do it till weaned. They make sure the babies get the proper amount of milk and have thd best chance for survival. Its also due to the breed of milking cows are clumsey and it also keeps the mother from getting mastitis due to not all the milk getting drained. So yea it sounds horrible but h we re is the video

Out of all the animal cruelty, I believe dairy cows suffer the most. Their entire lives are pure hell from the moment of birth.

My mom has 4-5 cows in her village and they never separate the mother cow from its calf.. Those cows often come inside to meet us and we really have a good bonding and treat our cows like babies not like machines 🐄🐄.. So it all depends how to treat them pls don't exploit them for your greed they are also living beings.

The only way to not exploit them is to be vegan and not breed them into existence to steal what isn't yours. The only way to not exploit them is to care for the already existing dairy cows on vegan sanctuaries that were rescued. Every time you breed more of these cows, you take away space and resources from cows that already exist who will be killed. Don't lie to yourself there's no kinda way to do this
I am quite sure these aren't milk cows then! I also see some cows with their babies on pastures and these are beef cattles. They're allowed to stay with their moms, because the farmers don't want to have the milk, they wand to have the meat.
Cows are different than dairy cows... dont mix up the two.. angus cows and heifer cows are great mommas.. but these arent typically used as milk animals because they do have their babies

I was a vegetarian for way too long. I was oblivious for the pain and suffering I caused by using dairy products. 6 years a vegan now and so glad I'm not part of this horrific abuse and violence anymore. Just because I like the taste of something doesnt justify using it. And you know, there are so many alternative products out there these days by not even having to give up taste. Also for myself, after 2-3 months I didn't even care for the taste. I made the connetion. Nothing tastes good anymore if you see and feel the connection of how much harm it causes. Good luck. You know, the only thing I regret is not becoming vegan sooner.

We get fresh milk everyday...only after the calf drinks from mother( suckling) and fully satisfied. Mother is so generous and she is taking care 6 of us. We can never perpitrate a crime of that type even if Mother stops giving milk. We ensure milk first for the baby calf and then for us !!! Jai Shri krishn !! Jai jai Gopal !

I agree with Sunrise a bit. In Scotland cows are allowed to keep their babies until they are weaned and the farmer figured out that happy cows yield more milk. The only thing is calves are bottle fed alternating times they can nurse from mom and milking times.

In Scotland the dairy farmers allow the mothers to keep babies with them until mom weans them and for that farm, happy cows yield more milk and are not traumatized . For more than six years I have been abstaining from all types of meat and fish, eggs, milk and all dairy products.
But one question torments me day and night: Why did I realise so late (at the age of 52) what suffering these poor, helpless and defenceless creatures have to endure?
I wish I had been get to this point when I was 25 or even earlier.
But to be honest, I somehow can't forgive myself... I have to live with this pain and shame for the rest of my life.

Aber eine Frage quält mich Tag und Nacht: Warum habe ich so spät (erst mit 52 Jahren) erkannt, welches Leid diese armen, hilflosen und wehrlosen Geschöpfe ertragen müssen?
Ich wünschte, ich wäre mit 25 oder sogar früher zu diesen Punkt gelangen.

@@Corvid_Moon Fam I raise my own chickens next to my vegetable garden, I refuse to buy any from the store. I do eat eggs but dairy is not really my jush, I prefer soy and oat products, my body likes them better. So I'm still vegetarian, but a little different.

I have some very conservative beliefs but I have really come around to having issues with this. I'm not sure what to do about it... but I don't like it.
Maybe give plant milk and plant cheese a try. You‘d no longer be supporting an industry that steals babies from their mothers and when I made the switch a year ago I was surprised at how good some of the products actually taste! And in addition an enormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders knowing I don’t contribute to this suffering with each purchase of milk etc.

This only happens in foreign countries, in india, I own a dairy farm with over 30 cows. We initially separate the calf from there mom only because if they would drink entire milk from its mother then the new born calf would have stomach problems. But as soon as it grow a little bit . Then we allow her to spend more time and while milking , atleast 50 % milk is of calf despite indian cows yield much less than foreign cows . Treat cow like mother not like a product

same bro I have a mini dairy with 5 cows , we love them as family members and do same what youve mentioned. they love us too and babies , while separating and stopping them from drinking whole milk we feel bad but the cuteness filled environment when they drink the milk is adorable.
