I think I’m the Anxious Introvert. My brain is constantly saying: Hey, remember that one slightly embarrassing thing you did 5 years ago that only you remember? Let’s think about that for several painful hours.
This is my social life: 1) want to socialize 2) spots a person I can socialize with 3)thinks about the conversation over and over again 4)hates socializing, doesn't socialize for months
The ironic thing about the thinking introverts is that they don't even need to take the test, since their self awareness allows them to instantly identify which type of introvert they are.

Anxious introvert for sure. This is the best explanation of what it's like that I have ever heard. It's rather difficult to deal with, and the anxiety is constant, but I accept it. Awesome video!
I sometimes think the concept of "alone" or "being alone" isn't when my own imagination is my best and only friend. Rather it's when I'm surrounded by a crowd of people, yet cannot immerse in a conversation nor be excited or relaxed enough to think to myself.
I too only feel lonely when I'm surrounded with a lot of people. I only remember feeling lonely while alone once in my life. It only lasted for about an hour and was happening while I was in a bad place in my life. When I got help, I was a recluse again. I think it is happening because that's when we see ourselves as different from the people around us, which is not OK in the setting. It is exactly the place where the conformity reigns. If you are different than others (extroverts tend to be there more) then you will feel it.
I'm the "am I an introvert because I like to spend time alone and practice my favorite activities? But I don't hate people, I mean, I love people, but I also love my space" introvert. Edit : after a lot of learning about mbti and stuff I think I am an ISFP :)

I remember there was a period in my life. I lived in a hostel for half a year. I work on a computer, so I often woke up, ate, sat down with a laptop in the common room and worked. At the same time, there was always another guy who, like me every day, sat down in the same room on the next sofa every morning and also did something at the computer. For all six months we have never spoken to him. No kidding, absolutely never. We sat opposite each other, at a distance of a couple of meters, but did not say a word to each other. And it felt ... just comfortable. None of us tried to strike up a conversation, none of us felt uncomfortable. When I was leaving this hostel, I went up to him, held out my hand and said goodbye. It was perhaps the best friendship of my life.
I'm reminded of Ron Swanson's experience with a coworker. "I once worked with a guy for 3 years and never learned his name. Best friend I ever had. We still never talk sometimes."
I'm sorry to say this but this is beyond being introverted, this is actually rudeness. This is on an extreme level, even for an introvert, actually. I'm an introvert and I would feel worthless around people who see me everyday without even saying "How are you?". I would definitely say a couple of words to someone I see everyday until I realize they are not comfortable with that, which I would find rude. I would not be comfortable with that type of introversion.
I’m like a combination of all, I avoid socializing because it causes me anxiety, I scratch my hands and feel scared of talking with people, that’s why I enjoy being in my own world, and don’t like others disturbing the peace I have in my own mind

Guess I'm the anxious introvert. Literally every human interaction I can remember makes me cringe. I find it great that there are people can relate to, helps me feel less lonely.
@Kedamono You can find a way better answer on Google... but for me, I'd say being an introvert is more...me being me. I quite like being alone instead of going out on parties or whatever, and unless it's with strangers, I can get quite talktative. It just flows with my life. With Social Anxiety... its like my life is controlled by it... Because of it I quit 3 different schools, not being able to stay there. I can't make friends and get close to anyone, even if I feel so lonely and really want one. It's better now but years ago I couldn't even go to the shop alone, couldn't talk to strangers at all. Im ranting, but the difference is that social anxiety controls me.
Me: - social, likes to help - hates small talk but loves talking to my bff - feels anxious when with people that aren't my bff - hates it when I'm different to the crowd - likes to have a really low amount of relationships - is analyzing everyone but hates it when people think (or even talk) about me - feels anxious before going somewhere were people are - regrets things I did in kindergarden - is always in my inner world - thinks about everything - hates it when people are facile (is this the right word for it? If this sentence makes no sense, please correct me (I'm not a native speaker)) - experiences everything anywhere mentioned in the video help
Let's not go and put blame on extroverts, alright? We have our odds, they have theirs! We're doing best together while respecting each others quirks and needs!
I'm considered an introvert according to MBTI, and I agree with the test's assessment, but I think I've expanding my comfort zone so much that I often don't act like an introvert. Like, I can go up to some person I've never met and genuinely make friends with them. I most of the time won't seek to talk to strangers, but when I do, I can usually do it comfortably. I'm not sure what type of introvert I am, but I am an INFJ if that helps explain anything
It’s possible that you are an introvert who just likes spending time with people but prefers time by themselves. I’m guessing you have low scores in social and maybe anxious introversion. Idk though I’m no expert
hmm, I'm similar. The test says 34 social, 43 thinking, 34 anxious, 40 restrained; this aligns with what @NatiLol12 guessed. Though I'm an ISTP, so the complete opposite of you besides introversion.

But no one is perfect we all make mistakes and get imparised we all feel stupid sometimes but some act like they don't and that makes them seem to be better than u.
So, when I graduated O levels (year 11), I was tasked with delivering a 3 minute speech on graduation day. That speech was the most horrifying and most invigorating moment of my life. I performed better than others, cause my introverted fear of making mistakes in public made me read my speech 200 times before I said it out loud.
Yep. Some of us introverts are good at writing, which makes us able to write good speeches which then makes us appear good at public speaking even if we hate it. But we might struggle more if we have to improvise in front of other people.
Being anxious introvert is the worst. There's multiple times that i have to do a report in front of the class and after reporting, i feel like my insides got scrumbled up. My tummy aches, i feel light headed, my heart feels like it will tore open my rib cage and escape

@@marygalstyan5297 It might help you to number and write down your answers as you go, since the the part where you 'recode reverse-word items' means you have to go back to the number you chose for specific questions and re-number your answers in reverse. So for Social Introversion items: 2, 4, & 7, go to back to your answers to questions #2, 4, and 7 in the social introversion section. For each of these 'special' questions, you take your original answer and flip it. If you answered '1' on the second question, you'll change it to '5'. Change 2s to 4s, 4s to 2s, and 5s to 1s. If you answered 3 to any of the special questions, leave it as 3 since it's a neutral answer. Also, I want to be helpful but my brain is being unhelpful right now, so this probably didn't, you know, help... I blame the test for using numbers everywhere, instead of letters and numbers, etc. Also myself for my inability to explain.
I'm absolutely a social introvert. I also came out high on the thinking introversion too. Very low on the anxious one and normal for the restrained. Yep. I agree. I'm not shy at all. No social anxiety whatsoever. I am just introverted and like my alone time.
I have the same results. I work as a manager, I deal with people (colleagues), decision making and managing processes daily. It is just I don't like people and rather be in charge than being the one who listens and works for others. People are draining me, I like my own pace and sometimes I overthink, but I am not shy or anxious. I can actually be pretty tough, nobody wants to argue with me 😅
I used to be a shy introvert, but as an adult I've become much more outgoing to the point of being excited to meet new people and confident to say hello. I don't really get nervous in groups, I can even give a speech or perform musically if prepared. But I can only handle so much and then I need a whole day in my cave by myself to catch up on my inner world stuff. I spend a lot of time thinking about deep things.
Whenever I start making a friend, I end up avoiding them, causing our soon-to-be friendship to just disappear. A lot of times I don’t do it on purpose. I need advice on how to make and keep a friend ;-;
I do that sometimes too. I get excited and start daydreaming about the new friendship. Then build it up to be too big a deal, which makes me a little nervous and avoidant, afraid they'll like me less with time or trying not to show how much it means to me cause that leaves me vulnerable and can scare people off too. So sometimes I can come across lukewarm, I'm afraid.
Yup, I'm totally a thinking introvert! Always having my head in the clouds. I don't mind social interaction. As long as I'm with other people who can carry a conversation that I don't _have_ to be apart of, I can just sit back, let my mind wander like crazy, and maybe say one or two things.
I know many won’t read this, but for those who do: Social: 34/50 (Average) Thinking: 31/50 (Average) Anxious: 46/50 (Very High) Restrained: 37/50 (High) I’m 99% sure I have actual social anxiety
I am a strange type of introvert. I LOVE meetings with my friends, I would do that every day, and yet they drain me out of energy. I LOVE interacting with people, especially with the ones I don't know, I am very funny and talkative around them, and yet I am anxious about these interactions. I am in my imaginary world almost all of the time, and yet I perfectly know what is happening around me and I have time for everything. Sometimes I am a bit slow about mu actions, I have to think about everything before I do something, I have to plan everything to avoid the anxiety, but sometimes I am hella impulsive and do things, that even some extroverts wouldn't do. Maybe I have the multiple personality disorder? Who knows.

I wasn't surprised: high on thinking and restrained. Low on anxious and average to low on social. I think this is a function of age as much as anything else. I don't really have problems with social gatherings, though I tend to stick with rotating between small groups methodically so I don't get worn out.
So this is the problem. I’m a bit of everything. I think I’m a “fake” person because of that. It’s like... I don’t know... I hate socializing because I don’t get along well with people about my age and also I feel I’m being a burden, a parasite for them. So that makes my overthinking, always in “my world” to stay away from reality. And in that time I’m away from reality, I sometimes see myself in a embarrassing past, wich I would like to not be part of, and I say to myself “You should did that”, “You shouldn’t do that” or “now people will understand you’re a bad person”, “You’re a bad person, aren’t you ashamed to be like that? You useless piece of sh*t”. And here is where I need to think well before start an actual conversation or I will say a complete mess. And here is where I think im a burden to people. And the cycle goes on and never ends. Sorry for bothering you, sorry for stealing your precious time and sorry for being so selfish. Hope you’re doing well. Have a nice day.

I scored a 40 in social, 46 in thinking, 39 in anxious and 42 in restrained. This means that I am above average in all of them. But I am definitely a thinking introvert. I hyper analyse everything to the point where my brain is constantly running at near full speed. This has its advantages like I'm a natural at puzzles and strategy games. But it also has downsides, such as my brain can sometimes get tired and or I can get distracted from a current task/conversation because I start analysing something in the surrounding environment. I've also thought about myself so much that I know myself extremely well. I also seem smarter than most of my peers because I've ether already thoroughly thought about any given subject beforehand or can analyse it quicker and more efficiently than others. This i suspect has caused me to develop a small superiority complex. Honestly it's probably super obvious how much I think about stuff just from what I've said in this comment. Most of this i'd already figured out and have only just now gotten to us this comment as a chance to tell someone about it.
fun fact : introverts battery drains quicker than iphone after socializing with others . but , if the person is of their type and the topic is interesting , introverts energy wont even drop for hours ! they can talk literally forever !
I got the highest score in the thinking, a score that was considered high in general, average in the social, close to high in the anxious, and close to low in the restrained
I'm definitely drained by social interactions. It's not so much the number of people in the crowd that's the problem, it's the novelty and unpredictability of the situation that's the problem. The more free-flowing the conversation the harder it is. I remember sitting at the table eating lunch in the cafeteria with other kids in my class in grade school and being totally mystified by how the conversation went from one subject to another with no apparent predictability. I felt incapable of participating. If it's a meeting of like-minded people working on a project together or discussing a previously agreed upon topic or agenda, that takes most of the stress off. But I'm also easily embarrassed and dwell on embarrassing events for the rest of my life. If I perceive that I might be embarrassed by what I say or do, that's a cause for anxiety. The other thing I find hard about social interactions is that I often have trouble identifying my own emotions and may need social isolation in order to discover how I truly feel about something. It's hard to put my emotions into words so it feels like I can't respond spontaneously in a given situation. And yes, my energy level in general is low and I have trouble getting out of bed in the morning.
I get a claustrophobic feeling when there are too many people* and when there's too much noise. Unless it's a moderately crowded nightclub & the noise levels preclude conversation & I can just dance. And woe betide anyone who tries to socialise with me inside the club. I may well give in to the urge to rip their extroverted head off 😀 * 'too many people is generally about 4 for me.
my results: social 38 thinking 43 anxious 28 restrained 36 thought id be a little higher on restrained but other than that its pretty accurate to how i thought it would be!

I think it is happening because that's when we see ourselves as different from the people around us, which is not OK in the setting. It is exactly the place where the conformity reigns. If you are different than others (extroverts tend to be there more) then you will feel it.

Came to comments to see if anyone else scored high in all categories. I should have expected this from INTPs 😅
It's so frustrating being an INTP :(
@@melo743 It's not too bad. It's just an inconvenience for everyone else most of the time.🤷♀️
@@lalaj.6022 That makes sense
This is so relatable its so pain to read:"")
Sounds more like social anxiety then just introversion
@@scatmanhi7837 Really?
@@guilhermefernandes9094 yeah I think so, introversion is aversion while social anxiety is more of a genuine fear that controls and ruins your communication with others
@@scatmanhi7837 Now that you say it out loud...”ruins your communication with others”. Thank you for your kindness and thank you for making me understand. And if you’re wrong it’s not your fault, we all make mistakes. Hope you’re doing well.
"What they think about much of the time is actually themselves", I've never been so exposed!
"which type of introvert are you?"
me, an extrovert: hehe *clicks*
Hi! XD What are you doing here? XDDD
@@animaticToshiue hi! i'm just chilling tbh, having the time of my life, trying to get to know my introverts better :D
Haha I (as an ambivert) am just chilling too
So how did you score on the test?
Kinda sus
I'm a social introvert. Good to know, enjoy your videos glad to know I'm accepted and understood here ☺️
Haha, thought I was gonna be a thinking introvert but nope! I am definitely an anxious introvert. Very interesting. Still rehashing every single mistake I have ever made in my entire life and cringing.
I'm definitely the anxious introvert, I still think of how I embarrassed myself by crying after being born. Lol
😅😅😅
I said thank you to the bus driver before getting on the bus. Spent the entire bus ride worrying if people said thank you before getting on the bus.
Then say it again when you get off the bus and proceed to stress about how weird and annoying the bus driver thinks you are. Rinse and repeat almost daily.... 😅😥
❤
Most of this i'd already figured out and have only just now gotten to us this comment as a chance to tell someone about it.
just dropping my results here cos why not

It's the internet, why does it matter to you, people will just ignore it if they don't like it
fun fact : introverts battery drains quicker than iphone after socializing with others . but , if the person is of their type and the topic is interesting , introverts energy wont even drop for hours ! they can talk literally forever !
I’m a sad mix of the thinking introvert and the anxious introvert
Same.
Frank: There are four types of introvert
Comments: All four types are me.
Me: "What kind of introvert am I?"
test in the description: "yes"
I may well give in to the urge to rip their extroverted head off 😀
* 'too many people is generally about 4 for me.
my results:
social 38
thinking 43
anxious 28
restrained 36
thought id be a little higher on restrained but other than that its pretty accurate to how i thought it would be!
I thought to myself “I’m definitely that one” for every one
This video helped me realize that most of your introvert content is about social and anxious introverts, not thinking or restrained. I'd enjoy more content on these different types!
Have u ever planned a conversation with someone in ur head over and over again but ended up saying something else?
(I literally thought abt posting this comment like 10 times)😂
It's ok for me, with random people in life. I deal with it. But at work. IT'S A PROBLEM
@@asylkhanshamkenov4710 oh for me its school not like anyone bullies me or anything but u know right
Yes. Either because at the last moment I decide it sounds really stupid, or because my mind LITERALLY GOES BLANK.
Notreally..
Hahaha.. Yeah..
That "for years afterwards." thing hurts the most tbh...
Right? I almost threw a controller at my TV (but then I’d regret it forever.) (Also I’ll delete this comment in 2 months.)
Funny story of me trying to socialise
“ so I was in the same class with this guy and our math teacher is just crazy and for no reason she started yelling at him and he just stayed there looking at her and when she went out I wanted to just be friendly and say hey don’t worry about it she’s crazy no big deal don’t overthink it , yeah but instead weirdass me couldn’t spit the words out and I ended up just staring at him for a couple minutes and made him so uncomfortable 😂😂😂 “
Omg kill me please
sounds like something i would do
Been there, done that ...
This channel helps me to know myself more. I was struggling before coz I wasn't sure if I'm an extrovert or introvert. But this channel helps me to know that I'm a true introvert, and I'm that 4 types of introvert. And I think I'm loving it because I know that it is really me. ❤️
