I am able to get this to work but it’s a slow process. I have to pull up and stop and wait 15-20 sec before the gate opens. I also use an RFID reader on this gate and if I use that it opens much quicker. The smart detect area for the license plate reading is set to the entire area. I have also tried decreasing the detection area but with no better results.
@@Mr._Craig We shoot this video just to show how recognition works and of course back in all the time is not convenient. Ideally I would put camera somewhere where it can capture back of the car when approaching gates if it feasible though.
I have a question. When there are gate and side door connected to this hub, and there is one intercom also connected to the same hub, is it possible for the user (via intercom viewer) to open gate, or door in response to call from that one intercom? And how it will look like on the viewer, ther will be two unlocking buttons on the display?
@@stasp3166 You can receive video calls from multiple intercoms or readers, but you can only unlock the door from which you received the call. When a call comes from an intercom or G2 Reader Pro assigned to a specific door, the unlock button for that door will appear. If you have multiple intercoms or readers, you can manually select a particular reader in the viewer to open its associated door. I hope that helps.
@@YesTechie Thanks for your explanation, but I think I wasn't clear enough. Is it posible to assign two doors to one intercom / reader, and have option to select which you want to unlock after recieving the call?
Amazing. So I can come to your house with YTECHIE written on a carboard or my fake plate and it lets me in. Nope, thanks
Post the video how you doing it.
I was thinking the same thing, esp if its a business. Someone will figure out how you're getting in.

Any ideas for states that don't have front license plates? Do you just back in all the time?

@@YesTechie I wonder if it would work for a vanity plate

@@stasp3166 No Intercom or Reader could be assigned only for one particular door.
Im thinking how does the side door work? together with an intercom unit?
yes, powered by the same hub.
It's very good 👍
Can't Somebody print out the license plate on a sheet of paper and open with it the gate?
wouldnt a qr code or anything else be more useful?
Definitely
