  • I made this Simple wood burning Fire pit from scrap that I had laying around. Including an old washing machine drum, some steel pipes, and an old cast iron Grill plate.

I used to keep plants in my washing machine tub but now I'm going to show this to my husband. I like that you have the same tools as us. Some UA-camrs have tools that are way beyond our reach and it can put us off even trying. But this is doable. Thanks!

Everytime i watch these kind of videos, i get excited wanting to start doing it right away. But then i realised i don't have the proper tools and it would cost a lot to buy 'em all first.. 🤣

    • @Ollaris

I’m sure most of the people that make stuff collect tools over a long period of time. It took me a better part of my life to get everything that i have. Start of by looking for a project that uses the tools you already have. Buy a cheap 20$ angle grinder. You can also buy tools secon hand or borrow some from friends.

Made a fire pit out of washing machine drum 20 years ago. Set of legs and handles, with repurposed lawnmower wheels on on set of legs. Could move it around anytime. A lot of people mounted them right on old lawnmower bodies.
Yours is a very elegant job.

Everytime i watch videos like this i feel so envious of what they use to create useful diy crafts at the comfort of their own yard. Amazing project. Now I want to go and build one with a griddle top. Nothing like a group of friends sitting around the fire drinking together and good food on the grill or griddle. Even a small wall on those side tables would enable you to sit outside and make a good breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes.

It’s the first time I’ve watched a video on this channel - (obviously a drill is not a lawnmower and doesn’t sound like one) = I’m assuming the UA-cam blogger is disguising the sound of his power tools, as others have disliked the sound of the p. tools? (e.g angle grinder sound was disguised with rock music)

Pretty sure you'll come up with a forked device or a wire cage affair that'll make the rest of us enjoy the "wow, wish I'd thought of that."
