- Hi UA-cam
In This video I build a awesome looking fire pit/Braai/Grill.
This Project took me about 3 weeks by working on weekends and in the afternoons after work.
Thanks for watching my video. More is on the way.
I Used the following Materials.
* Old Truck Rims from the local scrap yard , R22.5.
* 50X50X6mm Angel Iron cut to 1 meter pieces.
* 5mm Steel plate at 550mm OD for the bottom of the ash tray.
*10mm Steel plate at 415mm OD for the bottom of the rim.(overkill)
*Random steel grid to cover the holes in the rim.
*12mm and 8mm round bar for the cooking grid.(12mm at 1.7meters)(8mm at 15meters ) for one.
*45mm Chains. I Used 14 links for each side.
Every Thing came from the scrap yard except for the round bar .
Wish I had that scrap metal! Mine all fits in a 5 gallon bucket! And I have never had a "scrap" semi truck rim!!
Go by a truck stop and ask they will give it free most of the time.
We have a local steel scrap yard where I get most of the stuff.
Very good video, thank you, learned a thing or two

Ho yes, almost forgot, id like to see you build a glass tabel with a V8 Chevy bloc pistons and rods incorporate in there as well . Thanks
Sounds like a good idea , will let you know when I find one.
Monica ras , I been wanting to do that for years , but I don't have any Small block Chevy V-8 that I can use for a coffee table , I do have a V-6 and a straight 4 cylinder
Dit lyk fantasties. Wat kos een ?
Baie dankie, ek het een vir n vriend gebou en een vir myself so op die oombelik is hulle prysloos .

I like it, but let's be fair: most of that was not scrap metal.
Thanks , Not the grid that was bought as seen in the description , also I will make a video one day of what you can find in some of the scrap yards , currently just busy with a very big project that is taking way too long.
no one wants to hear the music, We just want to see the build. Just being honest. It's just annoying
Thank You for the honesty , I will improve.
