I grew up in a house so close to that pitch I could see it from my bedroom window. The side opposite the new clubhouse had a large grass bank where hundreds used to gather every Good Friday for the annual women's charity match (in the days when the FA didn't allow them to play on its members grounds). Me and my mates showed off our silky skills there on many an occasion - though the most vigorous exercise we got was from legging it when the parkie arrived and chased us off it.

@richardfurness7556 Haha, I love hearing people's personal stories about these grounds!

Hope you enjoy some other of the local videos, like Horden and Easington maybe.

Seaton Ground is spot on and has potential. Hartlepool Ground will go from strength to strength. Very nice Clubhouse and did you Spot the Poker table up against the wall?

@davidbolam7962 I bet Seaton"s ground is freezing in a winter night!!
No I didn't notice the poker table!

Hartlepool is a real football town.
Great place for an away game also. Under rated as a place; aye it can be chilly.
It’s a bit like Barrow, many people may express opinions; some unfavourable but those who know the place understand the beauty of the location.
Floodlight pylons! Went to see Queen of the South vs Annan recently; aye real floodlights are a fine site.

@jimmycburfield5997 Sadly, with Carlisle's current form, it looks like you'll be making a long overdue revisit to Pools rather soon!
I love Barrow..Walney Island coastline is a gem of a location if you want some solitude and space.

@jimmycburfield5997 Queens floodlights are in what was known as the "Scottish style". They were also found at the Goldstone Ground in Brighton.

      @jimmycburfield5997 Jimbo, may I ask a favour?
I'm not on Facebook or any SM at the moment. Any chance you could share me videos and channel on the individual clubs FB pages?
Before I lost my channel, I think FC Hartlepool and the like shared my video and it got me a tonne of subs and views that otherwise I struggle to get.
Next pint or whatever is on me 😄

@ aye too right Ivan! I am not a prolific SM person but I will give it a go! I do Insta and facebook.
I rope in my son. Bare with me though.

@jimmycburfield5997 That's what sons are for!. FB and Insta would be ideal.
Haha Ivan Ash. I remember when he did Scarborough commentaries in the era we were at Hull!
