Ensalada de fruta it’s like a FRUIT PUNCH. The CARAO is actually a REALLY HEALTHY DRINK, people even use it to cure anemia. I like it with MILK. And you DIP THE CEMITA in the COFFEE ☕️ that’s why is more like a BREAD and not a cake.
All over the world, where would Mediterranean’s and asians be without tomatoes, capsicum, pineapples, cacao, pineapples, corn, potatoes, papaya, avocadoes, squash, sweet potatoes, guava, passion fruit, cassava, vanilla and much more……

I miss my country and all this food, I must say that your concentration in the videos is incredible because everyone looked at you and you as if nothing had happened, after being a violent country, now that everything has changed, many tourists arrive and we do not assimilate the change still totally, that's why people feel curious to see them making content.
It's good that you have visited my country, but I advise you to always have someone with you who can explain a little about the culture and gastronomy. They are quite new to serving for visitors with a different languages and that's why the drink 🥤 you bought didn't go very well for you. Carao , it's a fruit not very appetizing and with a strange smell but not all people like it, the most typical and delicious drink is horchata. I hope you continue to visit El Salvador and have better experiences. blessings
Please try "Panes con pollo" if you haven't already. Amazing video. Salvadorans are very proud of their culture, country and food. Expect more views and comments for those videos from El Salvador
Your eating the authentic pupusas envy you.. there is a whole bunch of Salvadoran restaurants throughout the U.S but it’s not the same as the one we have a back home….loved the Vic
Me gusta la manera como disfrutas el comer, yo soy igual , es algo que disfruto y tu lo describes de una manera muy especial. un abrazo desde Santa aana El salvador
-That veggie salad is called "curtido" and is a mix of cabage/onions/carrots/oregan conserved in apple cider or vinager... -Semita de panela (something like brown cane sugar) or semita de piña (pineapple) is a sweet bread/pastry 🤩 enjoy EL SALVADOR ❤ thanks for visitings 🎉
The food is soooo good. When I get semita I get the flat one because it has an even layer of pineapple jam/ preserve. I rarely get the bread one because I like the pineapple all throughout. We have two names for it. Semita pachita (flat pastry) or semita Alta (bread one). It literally means low or high semita. Bread one is intended to eat w a hot drink like coffee or hot chocolate.
I'm salvadorean and I HATE carao drink hahaha. Carao is a fruit and it has a lot of benefits. It's usually used for support for anemia and it helps you improve appetite. My mom used to give us that as kids and we always hated it lol. When I saw you sip your drink I was making faces just waiting for your reaction lol. Not many people like it and some others add some milk to it to improve the flavor BUT, to me, still disgusting hahaha. Nice experience though. I am glad you like El Salvador and you're always welcome here.

Hello 95.. really appreciate your comments about Rosalita the pupusera lady.? Bring her to USA and she will be an entrepreneur like many that we already have in California as they were Salvadoran lucky enough to cross the border. They work like crazy!! No haraganería.. oh no…Love your enthusiasm as you talk..
I love semita & 3 leches 😋. That 2nd semita did look better than the first one. It has more jam. I want pupusas now! 😋. That's a very different taco, but still looks good. You can get normal looking tacos too. Very nice video 👍
You have to try Semitas from different bakeries and towns, it's all depends which town you are and locals will tell you the best places to go to find the best Semitas. I like the ones with pineapple and sugar cane candy fillings. I'm glad you are enjoying the Salvadoran food, more importantly you have to travel to our motherland to try it, that's impressive. Thank you for sharing
that type of semita is called semita atoradora, it roughly translate to "Choking Semita" because it's really dry, It is recommended to eat it with a cup of coffee or glass of milk
Wow! Great video, please show us more about their food it looks delicious and affordable.

You don’t often see tourists going to “el mercado” when it comes to eating, so i am really happy that you decided to try the food there! it is truly the best way to know what we actually eat here!
Thank you for showcasing the flavors of our small country! By the way, your Spanish, your pronunciation is INCREDIBLE. Are you fluent in Spanish? Cus, wow!

I cannot belive this guy right here. He went hard-core local food chase. I bet many Salvadorans have not even tried the places he went here. I can tell you that for sure as I'm a full street guy.

It is important to emphasize that El Salvador was part of the Mayan Civilization and the influence of the Mayan culture is very noticeable even today.

Actually after the ilopango eruption we got nahuatl people, so these days we're close to some Mexican ethnics than mayans

The indigenous people of the country are the Lencas and cacaoperas mayans have some pockets of Mayan tribes but in not so big numbers.
