i am an architecture student and i see other students who always commit the same mistakes of randomly picking colours... this regards that so it is an excellent tutorial! to take this further though, you can make use of systematic increase and decrease of saturation(S), brightness (B). In architecture, it is also important that the shades of the faces are correct to the angle that they face the plane. when having roofs like that, i export the view from rhino/sketchup to find the right grey value, and add hue to them as you want!
I didn't even know that I needed this video till I saw it! tysm ❤️ this is honestly one of those few channels where I bookmark or save videos to watch them later for reference! Keep going :)
Interesante el video. Muchas veces damos por sentado cierto temas que le agregan valor a nuestra representación arquitectónica y este es uno de ellos. ¡Felicidades por seguir haciendo docencia!

Awesome as always. Your videos have always helped me. They are simple and effective and very very tasteful. They've really helped me up my game. Keep on going! Cheers from India!
This is very useful!! May I ask wt bt land use in site analysis? Usually use maybe 3-6 colours in one drawing. How to be sure that the colours are complementary to each other🙏🏻🙇🏻♂️
happyflo712 if the color palette generated here which puts out about 6 colors doesn’t work for you you can always go a to color generator website. Input the existing color codes and they will give you more complementary to those !
Steven, I'm subbed here on UA-cam and on IG and really enjoy your work. I'm not in your field of architecture but work instead in cabinets/millwork/furniture. I'm wondering if you have ever applied your methods to that scale of design? I'm very much interested in finding a better way to do design drawings for that sector, and your methods seem like a path, I'm just wondering if it would be as effective.
Thank you so much my friend, Im glad to see other people apart from architects here!! I´ve never applied the methods to that scale before but it would be very interesting to try something out. Do you have an example reference to see what you mean specifically? I think some tecniques taught in the channel...especially this episode can be really useful throughout different scales.
@@ShowItBetter Sure do...it's a high end kitchen I just drew up and I was looking at it and thinking, "How can I make this presentation more artistic? More dramatic? Every time one of you video's post I would look at it again and ask the same question. If you interested, how would I send it to you?
@@blacksheep_77 OMFG what a hell are you both talking about? At the end of the day this are just colours! Of course you may use it in different scales! Its just on you where you will decide to apply your experiences... Its crazy you are spending your time by thinking if you can apply your experience in different branch.
Thomeeno Hilarious!! Are you really that disturbed?!? Wow!!! Not to say your wrong...at all..you are right!!! But my fellow human being, its just a question and the man has skills and Im interacting. Let me do art in my brain if I feel like it! Let me think before I do. Let me relate if I want to. Let me be insecure if I must be. You do you man, enjoy your productivity and accomplishment! But calm down a bit...Thanks for the laugh, by the way, I needed that today.
Thank you so much for the information! It's always hard to pick color for parti or diagrams since no one really explains how to pick complementary colors.
Your color is weird I guess. The first object, top and bottom doesn’t much each other. And I just wanna ask you do you care about the lighting? I think the Dark and Light colors don’t follow the relationship of the light and shadow. Sorry if I’m wrong.
