Somehow I went from telling the girlfriend I'd fix up her broken cart enough to sell it, to complete upgrade fever. I have the same cart and color even. Thanks for making this video

I enjoy that I'm not the only who buys something, parks in front of something else I'm working on, and tells myself that I need to finish new project first to get to preexisting project.

Had an ongoing golf cart project i started a year ago... maybe 2 now, anyways i just got 3 other golf carts givin to me from a local golf course. Was gonna rob a part of one to fix current project but now i think im gonna be fixing them all up lol. Wish me luck when the wife sees these in the yard.

Make sure you tell her they are not yours. “You’re just fixing them up for a buddy”

That was more complete than the one we got for $300.00 It did come with a new battery tray.

Yea, I paid $500 for my 1986 and it was nothing close to this bad, all I did to mine was replaced all the brake components from the pedal back to the drums and after about 2 years of driving it I did replace all the batteries and that was it, it already came with a newer battery tray that is aluminum (or I'm guessing its been replaced before I got it) but that's all I've done and I got a new much smaller battery charger/tender.

With the new rear springs installed, why did you install the shackle bolts in the same orientation, and have the same problem if you ever have to remove them again ? Maybe you should have put the lock nut on the inside close to the battery frame ? Logical, no ?

Funny enough. I also can take a $450 project and turn it into a full blown rebuild. With the intentions of just spending a weekend on it and a few Bucks. 3 months later and another $1500 ,, wah-lah!!😂

Your old 6v Trojan batteries probably need water & fresh electrolyte, new batteries and wires is an expensive but good idea.
Why not cut off those leaf spring bolts and flip them around with a lock nut?

Why did you put the spring bolts back like they were, knowing you could need them out again?

Ive been looking for an affordable cart just like this condition for two years now, and you find one at a garage sale that you weren’t even looking for.

What wires go to the front of the forward reverse switch? And what land on the 3 male wire spots? Thanks!
