Doesn't matter if he isn't as famous as Arnie, Robert Patrick's depiction of that unforgettable menacing cop of steel who not only scared the crap out of us as kids, also helped pave the way for many developments in CGI today. That's a HUGE accomplishment in itself!

Robert Patrick IS T-1000 and should absolutely have been in Terminator Genisys as the T-1000. De-aging him would do the trick.
But maybe he dodged a bullet not joining that movie since the casting in it sucked.
Jai 'charisma void' Courtney and Emilia 'not at all scary' clarke was miscast.
I like Emilia Clarke, and she seems like a great person but she is no Sarah Connor type.
Sarah Connor was a bad ass in T2 after a few years of training.
Emilia Clarke doesn't look bad ass even though she supposedly been training half her life.

Terminator was always about the relationship between the past and the future and humanity's technological suicide.
The first movie was about the inevitable future that's right behind the corner. The human creation from the future, Skynet, sends a terminator to kill the humanity's leader before he's even born. The second one is about the humanity defeating the future. Instead of John Connor, Skynet is the one who's destroyed before it can ever be born, by it's own creation. In the end, the Terminator and Sarah shake hands, a symbolic peace between the past and the future. The final monologue shows a renewed faith in humanity and a hope for the better future. It's a perfect ending.

One on the cyclic, or stick, that controls the tilt of the rotor blades via a swash plate as they rotate around the output shaft(thus their tilt cycles every rotation). And the collective which changes the overall, or collective, pitch of the blades by moving the swash plate in the vertical axis. There is also a twist throttle on the collective to control overall engine RPM if the pilot feels they need more lifting force. Id have to watch it again to see if a 4th arm is visible as there may only be 3 on camera, but you do indeed need 4 to fly AND reload a gun. Though, many helicopters have a friction setting on the collective pivot point, so it is possible to let go of it without completely screwing up flight. Especially forward flight where the helicopter would act more like an airplane anyways (more like, not exactly like. Helicopters are a special breed of aeronautical crazy).
Bonus Fact: Helicopters do not create lift, they beat the air into submission.

When younger generations watch a movie such as this one, they oftenly think that we were always fooled by some special fx that "was not up to today standards", we could tell when it was a puppet, animatronic or CG on screen even back then, but it was not all about the fx themselves but also about the craftmentship of it all, the caring in any scene, and merging these components propperly. You can see here they planned this movie so well, compare that to some Transformers crap of a movie with a bigger budget and crew than T2, that started filming not even having a script finished, cause you can always "fix it on post" or at least throw tons of CG on screen to deflect the attention from the story or meaning of the movie. You can always see passion on screen somehow and this movie is a very good example of it. Great video Mr Cordz

Quoted by Cameron: “I wanted to find someone who would be a good contrast to Arnold. If the 800 series is a kind of human Panzer tank, then the 1000 series had to be a Porsche.”

I love the design of the T-1000. It’s one of my favorite robot designs in fiction aside from Robocop and Zero from Mega Man X.

The liquid nitrogen scene is my favorite effect. The way he is walking and then his limbs get stuck and rigid and come apart. And then of course the shattering. Flawless.

In the Extended Cut, i love how the T-1000 is starting to glitch after the ice shatter...and shows that it can be destroyed, so can John recognise it when imitating Sarah
in the Theatrical Cut, he is shown more indestructable ..... and how difficult is to be destroyed

Speaking from my own experience, you CAN'T imagine the joy of tracking a shot like this entirely by hand. Takes you days and drives you crazy since you're working with a low res b&w proxy of your plate and a very rudimentary wireframe/bounding box representations of your objects. Quick test render to check your progress? Go get a coffee or two while your workstation cranks out a simple wireframe preview, only to see there's even more sliding or sub pixel movement in your track.

Hey Cordery i jusy finished watching the Lord of the Rings movies for the first time since i was a child and my GOD THESE MOVIES ARE BEUTIFUL! I love how well adapted the world of middle earth is! The visual effects, the practical effects, the costumes, the sets, the colouring, the world building, the lore, the dialouge, the attention to detail! Imm dying for you to make a video similar to your jaws video desconstructing the world of middle earth and how it was achomplished seeing as your doing an amazing job with these master class videos and they are making me inspired as a filmmaker during this time. :)

Man I miss the old way Hollywood would run adverts, having Robert Patrick come in to reprise his role for the VHS commercial is simply awesome. How lit would it to be to see Chris Evans become Captain America for an Avengers commercial.

Still personal favorite video is the video on the nun since it introduced me to this wonderful channel.
