Yes Greg. We are heading back up Anzac Day for a couple of weeks.
I only bought the Algo to have a play.

You seem to be battling a bit of EMI in that video, was your sensitivity over 25? I guess being your backyard plenty of sources of EMI around, I'm fortunate I can run mine just about anywhere around here without encountering EMI like that. That 12x8" is meant to be a bit of a noisy coil though.

I had sensitivity on 23, that was as high as I could push it, any lower and the performance dropped off. The 6000 won’t run in the back yard at all with the mono coil, so yes some bad EMI. The Coiltek 14x9 runs more stable that’s for sure. I am sure out bush, you could run stable. All in all, I think the NF 12x8 is a reasonable choice for this machine. The 14x9 might just edge it out but it’s heavier.

Gotta say mate, I'm pretty disappointed with those results, even given the EMI.
Having just dug a 1.6 grammer from a carefully measured 16 inches, and an 0.14 grammer from 3 inches, with my ZED / 22CC X coil ( which only has an 11 inch centre receive coil ), I would have expected much better from effectively a 10 inch round coil. I'm sure that a 4000 / 4500 / 5000 would get that 2 grammer much deeper!
Having said that, not bad for a " cheap " machine. For me, however, it's all about raw performance, and I could not tolerate a machine with such limited depth capabilities.
    Cheers, Rick

Sure mate, I hear you. How many nuggets have you found less than 6” deep though.
I have found plenty that this machine would have hit. I have said this before. If you can afford a Z or a GpX then that’s where you should be. If you are just starting out and all you want to do is find a bit of gold, this machine will do it for you. The EMI in my testing place is high.
The Coiltek 14x9 managed it better. The 6000 with the mono coil won’t settle at all. I reckon if I went out bush without the emi, I could push up the sensitivity a bit.
Again this Evo coil is a bit noisy.

@@goldfools5445 Yes plenty of shallows, but also plenty of deeps too that I would not have got with the ALGO. Hopefully MK2 or MK3 will be better! Cheers, Rick

I am not getting rid of my 7000 or 6000. I bought this machine to have a bit of fun with. I am not disappointed with the machine as my expectations were set at its price point. I think it is a better proposition than the SDC at $4500 if you are just dry land detecting. I would definitely recommend this PI machine to a beginner over other VLF offerings.

@@goldfools5445 ~Good, so the AlgoForce is better than the SDC or a VLF, “but” the AlgoForce is ‘not’ better than a 6000, is that what you’re trying to say or not?? Thank you.

@royjohnson465 in mineralised areas is better than a VLF, yes I am saying that.
For a value proposition, if detecting in dry areas it’s better than an SDC.
It falls short of the GPX6000 in outright performance by quite a bit. Yes I am saying that.
