Even from factory, that's a nicely tuned bike. Flat torque and linear power curve. With more revs, it'll go much faster having both torque and power staying there until the limiter.
I've got this exact model and I am loving it the intake noise is addictive on this bikes cool to see the numbers and curve quess i will have to start saving for a flash
So happy that you made this video! I also have a '22 Z900, but in the white/black tone. I'll be mailing my ECU to you very soon. Great breakdown on the changes you made. Looks well-worth the money.
Gee I was still undecided for the Z900 and had also the Suzuki in mind. So glad you showed me the "HUGE" difference in power. The CS exhaust sound and look totally "SICK". Thank you, Sir. ☠
I've got a 2023 Z900 and I cannot wait to have Moore Mafia flash my ECU next year once the warranty expires! They flashed my 2020 Ninja 650 and it was easily the best upgrade I did to the bike!
@@voltroniix The Z900? Stock headers with Ebay link pipe to delete the breadbox and currently have a Leovince LV PRO slip on. I plan to get the Leovince Headers this summer. I had a SC Project CRT but it was ridiculously loud with the breadbox delete and obnoxious on 30+ min rides.
I bought a new 2023 z900 in may I love it .good video ,however I'd have liked to know the pure stock hp #s of it with stock exhaust .I'm thinking bike lost h p with exhaust change and ecu flash brought ut back up to where it should be ,maybe I'm wrong I dont know. Also would a flash do anything for a completely stock z900
Likely possible reason the Honda oil filter was installed due to having the 600 mile service done--requires oil and filter change. Like me (same bike and year), he probably did the 600 mile service himself. I use a hiflotro HF303RC filter on my Z900.
I have the exact same bike with same color scheme and year. I am torn between doing ECU and exhaust and keeping it or selling it and buying a 1000cc. Currently I put in it 4000miles. It's really an amazing bike. I felt like I am starting to get bored from it. It's my first bike to own. But it definitely has great torque and power and I like its sound with stock exhaust it's quiet but once you push it above 5000rpm it'll make enough noise. Noisy exhausts will make to much noise and become noticeable from a mile away. not good if you're speeding lol
Hey man nice video. I bet that thing is a joy to ride and I gotta say , although my bike pops and snorts and is loud with the Alienhead exhaust I found the lack of the fireballs a little relaxing. lol it had an Amsr , or whatever it's called , type feel to it
How much farther can you push the RPM before the valves begin to float? As long as the line doesn't dip down below 110hp or so, why not keep going to within 500-1000rpm of the valve spring limit in order to have the broadest, flattest power curve up top with the most average power?
Really great video. Very informative. That info on the injectors shutting down was amazing. That can effect ridability!! My question would be corn gas vs. eth free gas. Does that effect your ECU changes?? I use eth free always in my 14r. I'm currently saving for a z900 next spring. Gotta go with the green.
Puts out more hp the mt09 on the dyno. I had an '18 mt09 with yosh r77, filter and 2wheeldynoworks flash and showed 115, almost 116 in their dyno. They said that's what a good running 1st-2nd gen cp3 show put out. If anyone tells you their mt09 is putting out wildly higher numbers than that, they are full of💩. Dynos vary widely also. I have a new '21 third gen I like but haven't done anything to it yet. Folks are getting approx same hp out of 3rd gen too, a little more mid range though. I haven't ridden a z900 so I shouldn't say but the mt is a blast to ride.
The Z is a little quicker straight line (and has better stock suspension if the mt isn’t a sp version), it’s it’s something much smoother and stable. So peoples ass dyno tend to over perceive the power of the mt due to its instability, and underestimate a smooth bike like this. Plus Kawi (especially with the Z series) doesn’t have anywhere near the internet fanboy thing that Yamaha does.
I have this setup also, but I've also went up 1 tooth on the front sprocket (15t to 16t). Would that change how your tune is setup? Was finally looking into sending my ECU in to get it flashed.
Is it a huge difference to Stock and flashed? Can you Go With a z1000 now? From accerlation? Why the Sound change? What is the Point in the ecu what Makes the Change?
I have a '22 Z900-same color. Great bike. The only reason I can figure that this chap put on a Honda filter is that the Kawasaki oem filter is made in China. Kinda turns me off too. After warranty is up , I'll put on somethin' else.
117-120hp stock is really hard to beat. You won’t see any competitors with those kinds of numbers from the factory. People love to hate on the Z900, but it’s a beast.
Really interested to see how my numbers look, getting my 21 z900 dyno tuned tommrow and putting in the sprint p08 filter. Was wondering if that bike is running the stock filter or did it get an aftermarket one
i bought a 2020 z900 that came with a air filter, breadbox delete and slip on and it had a powercommander 5 on it. what are the differences between running the PC5 and a flash? the reason i ask is because for $270 i can add a quickshifter to the PC5 module, but if a flash is the better way to go i will hold off.
I have a question what Honda filter was that cause my 2024 z900se filter leakes a little I never seen oil gone from the seal of a filter it happens after every ride just a small dab of oil on my f in her
I have the opportunity to get a z800 from a neighbor, extremely low mileage, at a killer price, but it's the 2014 EU restricted A2 model and i would like to know if it's worth it? What kind of condition is possible to obtain, with this kind of modification?
Your website says ecu flash is available up to 2022 model year for the z900. I have the 2023 model z900. Is ecu flash available for 2023? Didn’t think there were any changes from 2022-2023?
We have a fuel station locally that sells vp110 at the pump. Im curious if the timing could be adjusted for the better fuel to yield more power from this bike. If the gains would be worth it? I have a 2024 z900 that i would love to spice up some and this has been on my mind. Any thoughts?
Hey man! Was this originally the 70kW version of the bike? I am thinking of buying a z900 but am forced to first ride a 70kw restricted down to 35kw so I can’t buy the 93Kw version…
With the ECU flash, is drivability increased, decreased, or remains the same (smoothness, less snatchy throttle, etc)? Also, how much fuel economy is lost with regular riding after the flash?
Really more fun to drive. Like he said its smoothened the ON/OFF throttle. For fuel economy, not so bad before the gas light flashes i was able to to ≈250km. Now its more like 200-220 but with the exhaust and the eca flash its harder to ride peacefully. 😅
Can't seem to get a liking in that CF exhaust 😬 Wot could beat a Brock Titanium exhaust with Penta carbon silencer , AND .. you know it's gonna make power 🤔🤷♂️ Thanks Chris , nice informative video as always 🤘🏻
Hey Chris what were the numbers on the gsxs 750 with the full system?! , does it have a k&n filter in it??interested to know the difference,I have the same bike with a filter And slip on!!
Do you guys know of a shop that offers your tunes in Australia? Bit far to send my ecu over seas but would love to get my ecu done and especially remove the fuel cut on throttle release. Cheers.
I have this same bike. Still everything stock. I feel it already has enough power and torque. You didn't convince me enough to have it tuned. One question does your tune actually improve or worsen the mpg? currently combined city and highway it's only making 35mpg which is quite low I feel at least lower than what they are claiming. Highway alone as long as I keep it below 90mph it will make around 44mpg. but I go crazy on throttle and lower from 6gear to 5th it will consume too much. ONe thing I noticed is your tune is done only up to 5th gear. forgive me I am new to tuning and motorcycles, Is there a reason why you didn't tune it on 6th gear?
Is this all the power we can get out of this bike? I’ve got the Delkevic exhaust in mine currently, what else should be added prior to sending you the ecu for most power gain?
Hey boss. The Z900 is 125 horse power by default, so I dont get it, with all this tuning with the ECU and the exhaust system we only got 120 horse power ? Confused here.
Only after the flash did the Z900 make the classically distinctive 'kawasaki sound'...fantastic!! Great vid!
Glad to know that you guys have the map for it. I'll be sending some customers over.
Just got my ecu back for my Z900 about a week ago! I am SUPER happy with it! Woot Woot!! Thanks Chris
how much is a flash on the particular bike
Got my ECU back from Chris yesterday! 2023 Z900 with K&N and full M4 exhaust. Bike is amazingly smooth. Thanks!!!

Looking for an answer to this as well!.
Yes in another video he said works just the same
