You listen to Him talk about how you need to wake up and tell yourself I’m going to be a champion”. With that type of mindset I can see why this guy was a successful bodybuilder, actor, governor.

Most people would just sit back and relax but I guess thats what makes him a true legend and he will always be remembered as such. So much respect!

his attitude is very good. I did manual labour for 10 years and spent many days in pain out in the rain. then I decided to go back to school and it was so easy because I had that experience of mental toughness. its realy true that you can use sports etc as a basis for anything

He is the greatest EVER body builder....he then went on and became the biggest movie star in Hollywood....he didnt stop there, he went to become the governor of California. Hard work directly translates into results. With Arnold's mindset, there is no way to fail. Thank you Arnold. Truly an inspiration.

... and don't forget Joe Weider. This idea of top and bottom, or the magnificent paradigm of winning and loosing makes great theater, but there is more to life than this. In the act of building, whether it's a body or a business, growth is built upon failures. Anyone who grows recognizes the act of pushing beyond their limits. Pushing a muscle to failure, and tearing down that tissue, is the only way it will build itself back bigger and more capable. But ultimately you must face what the purpose of all that effort is...and to this question every man is equal, no matter how grand, he must at last face his own humility.

Weightlifting and bodybuilding, along with Arnold's over-the-top personality, changed many many thousands of young - and not so young - men's lives for the better. He is a fun, joyful, smart, motivating force for doing good and motivating yourself. Is he perfect? Hardly. But the contributions he's made to so many individuals, families and various wide-reaching groups has been incredible to say the least. Certainly one cannot argue that.

No matter what we are up to in our own lives, what Arnold is saying, is the ultimate principal for living successfully. It's not just that he's saying it though,he is being it. He lives it, is it, & that's how we can be confident in the absolute validity of his words. He's not speaking about bodybuilding, he's speaking about living a Fulfilled life that Works, for oneself & for others. A valuable truth must be SHARED! We create our reality.

Rasmus Walldoff I know he took them. But steroids don't make you make you workout 5 hours. Your will and characher does. Steroids only help you recover faster so you can gain faster. I can workout 5 hours and I dont take them. Just the everymans wannabe talk at work here.

speak for myself? I just did the man took steroids a normal person cannot workout for 5 hours a day 5,6,7 days a week and make substantial gains! And I absolutely love people like you, let me become a big tough guy on the internet!!... how about you open a book and educate yourself on the human anatomy and how the body works. I am not saying that Arnold wasn't the best I personally think he was and will always be the best! But when you post a question "how does one workout for 5 hours?" I give you an answer steroids he did them and a million others have... I am 5"11 165 lbs I don't juice... maybe I should though

For all those banging on about steroids - what do you think happens if you take them and proceed to do nothing? That muscles magically appear? You still have to work like a motherfucker to get anywhere near the size of these blokes. That is not to condone the drug. It's still a cheaters tool in professional sports, the health risks are shocking and - worst of all - they shrivel up Mr Pee Pee. But to rubbish the amount of work it takes based on the drug alone is nonsense.
