We have been on Carnival twice since they started the new policy of not having the breakfast cards available. On the first day I call room service and make a standing order for every day of the cruise to be delivered at 7:00 a.m. It worked out very well.

Since they started new new way and got rid of the door hangers we get our order together I call in the first evening and tell them I would like it as a standing order for every morning of the cruise. It has worked out well for us
I heard about their willingness to do that. But not until after I was on the cruise where I made this video. It's great that that's an option - except you can't access the room service menu until 6am the second day, so you have to already know exactly what you want. Thanks for the tip and for watching!

So room service is no longer free on Carnival?
Correct with the exception of breakfast. This change was made about two years ago I think.
i did not use room service because I was unsure of charges

Carnival will deliver free breakfast room service from 6am to 10am.

I was on Horizon. This is the system for ordering breakfast on all Carnival ships now. :)
I experienced this on Mardi Gras
So a cooked breakfast is not free for room service? How disappointing.
It’s been that way for as long as I’ve been cruising (circa 2017). You can get hot breakfast free at the buffet or in the main dining room.
The portions look so sad, like for a child!
I agree that they're pretty small, but you can order how ever many you want. :)
