- Classical symphony composer and KILLING JOKE frontman Jaz Coleman plays piano at Ra Bob studio, Prague. May 18, 2011. At the end is an excerpt from "Bury My Bones On The Barrier" -- a song Jaz sang in pubs with Killing Joke bass player Paul Raven (R.I.P.) and then rearranged into this form to be played at Raven's funeral. (video by Ra Bob)
A 50 year old punk metal star playing impeccably beautiful classical sitting on a cardboard box- it's all beautiful. Thanks Jaz!
Beautiful
As a 50 yr. old w/ diverse interests I agree.
lol
Supremely Talented Jaz. Such a Beautiful Player
One of the most brilliant and fiercely creative musicians of all time. He treads that fine line between genius & madness that so few can do.
You've put it perfectly.
Mr. Coleman is one of the greatest musicians and songwriters I ever seen in my whole life.
How can you not love this man
+Scott M I can't.
Me neither. Jaz is THE man.
Two big thumbs up from Coventry band the eyes of Isabel
Back in the late 70's when I was a hairdresser in Cheltenham I put blue streaks in Jaz's hair, he came to my flat to have it done 😲 I hadn't seen or heard of him until seeing this video 😀 So glad to see he's still alive and kicking xx
I think this is absolutely amazing! I LOVE Jaz and Killing Joke.
Jaz, one of the most revered musicians of our time. Thank you.
I knew he played piano but had no idea he was so great. ❤
Now I feel honored to have shaken his hand after one of his K. Joke concerts
I must admit this is a lot better than I thought it would be. He's clearly very talented.
Such a talented man. Serious respect.
Aaaw man thats so wonderful. I never knew Jaz played so heartfelt piano.
Wow. Had no idea Jaz was that good of a player!
Beautiful!
his talents appear endless!
Who could give Jaz a thumbs down? Travesty this world is.
Jealous morons which doesn't understand real musicians
Really beautiful.
The one and only Jaz Coleman. Still one of the fiercest and most individual voices out there. Thank fuck killing joke are still in the world, we need them more than ever.
Great creative Jaz Coleman! Like the bit at the end, when he turns around like soms little boy asking "was that good?"
quel talent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
superb in every music
WOW! I too had know idea Jaz was such an accomplished player!! I know he did did the odd bit of synth with KJ but none of it was as complex as this! :)
Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing a precious moment - very much appreciated many blessings 💜✨Love Light and Joy ☀️🎶
He should play more of this loved it
We have joy
Thanks for posting!!! This is priceless footage...Jaz is a brilliant, eccentric and fearless artist...and, obviously, impressive on an upright...

GENIUS . . . Nuff said !!!
thanks for uploading this. love it. allways whit a smile within a crying eye.
This was his childhood, which I think is so cool.
Beautiful ❤
A true genius ❤
ANGELIC!" 👍🍄🗝🧩
Cuanta genialidad tiene este hombre !!!!!
I miss being sat at Fish with this guy and Shaana and Max.
Amazing! which, of course is not shocking considering everything Jaz does/has done. Still, it would have been great after that powerful number if Jaz turned to the camera and pulled a Spinal Tap moment: "yeah, that one was called Torture Games of Death"
I withstood Level 11 on the TortureGame Machine.
Laugh my ass off at that one
yes i made the "Lick my Love Pump" joke long before you
Talent!
Sweet Playing Man. Nice one. Thanks for Posting.
Ahh sublime.
Amazing stuff.
He would have been a perfect touring partner with Leonard Bernstein! Leonard was a bit of a rock star himself behind the scenes.
Such a great comment ❤
Jaz is a king, brilliant
in the end of Outside the Gate you can hear some classical influences
How right you are. There is an operatic element to 'Outside the Gate' which I love! How I would love for Killing Joke to do a full on concept album with orchestral and full on Punk/Rock overtones especially with Youth's production skills.
They need to start soon though as they aren't getting any younger and neither are we!!
holy fuck hes amazing.
If only he published more classical music than he has.
This man is an idol
Todo un capo el gran Jaz 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love you Jaz.
Another empire backfires, give us your denim jacket Jaz lol.
i thought the title was 'Lick my Love Pump'
Fucking channeling Franz Liszt...reminds me of the Mephisto Waltz in bits...
The man himself.
Nice stool!
uffffff , me traspasa…...
Jaz = EL JEFE
1:45 - 1:56 sounds like the main riff in the KG song Trance.
whats that 2 minute ending of classical piano after Outside the Gate track ?
It's a song that Jaz played and sang at Raven's funeral. He's not singing here, but I heard him sing it on another occasion in the studio. It's a piece Jaz wrote called "Bury My Bones On The Barrier." ( ie, on the Great Barrier Reef.)
@@RaBob what song you described ? From video o my question ? They are two different tracks
when you cross classical music with punk you get Jaz? makes sense ;)
plays violin too
JAZ le meilleur avec robert smith et joe strummer... et Ian curtis
Sounds like ABBA the winner takes it all.
I am the virus
superb in every music
