    I didn't know about these heads until I saw this video, ordered one the other day along with the Hughes kit. I like the look of the silver but after much deliberating, went with the red, to contrast the yellow canopy and blades.

      Awesome! That’s going to look great! The Red will definitely contrast and be a perfect setup with the Hughes kit!

    So happy I went on lunch! Perfect timing to watch this! That Heli looks way better than I imagined! Thanks again for the content! I also personally enjoy it when you call out the sizes for the hex screws as well. Makes things a bit smoother.

      It does look incredible! I can’t stop looking at it it gives it such a unique great look on the bench. Flight video will be out in a few days! I appreciate you watching commenting and subscribing! Helps out big time. I try to always make sure I include what size every driver is that way people who don’t know or maybe if it’s an oddball you guys have the idea and don’t have to look around.

    Yep no matter how many towels you use, when you drop a screw it levitates a foot over, then drops with extreme force onto the hard ground. Looks great. Cool colors w stealth black motor and blades.

      Every time! No matter what you do it will always never stay where you want it to. You will always lose one lol but after the video I moved everything from underneath of my table and I found it! I was very surprised and happy!

    That's an awesome upgrade! The only downside is that after this, you won't be able to use the factory foam carrying box to store or transport your heli... Can wait to see it flying with this upgraded head! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

      That’s exactly what I was telling my wife! Now I can’t put it back in the box lol but it is well worth it to have an awesome looking Heli and head. I have got a lot of flights on it so far extremely pleased no need for any adjustments for gain or anything just both on and go. I am still playing around with different size main blades trying to find the best length to get the best flight time and performance. Thanks for watching!

    pretty cool. I have the microheli metal blade grips for my 330s, they seem pretty nice. I just upgraded my M2 explore with the OMP aluminum swash and rotor grips not long ago. amazing how tight the tolerances are with the omp stuff!

      MicroHeli stuff is top Quality! Really impressed with there stuff! Been using it for many years! OMP stuff is incredible as well! Best small heli hands down! Can’t wait for the M5!

    Awesome product that I have on my personal M2, but I do wish that the head bolt was pass-through like the original with a nut instead of relying on mechanical torque an chemical (locktite) solutions. Not that it has ever failed or backed out, but the piece of mind would have been nice.
    I like how we can "get away" with a DFC system in these smaller birds like the OMP Hobby an I've had no issues with my M2 with the MicroHeli 3-rotor head, but you've really got to be careful on larger helios with a DFC unless you're flying scale.

    Hell ya man. .I casted out ideas micro heli had for blades but this looks more promising,,my complaint with the blade ones was they simply wasn't strong enough or b very hard to get to track right and the slightest bump or strain would throw it so far out of track it wouldn't fly right and heat up the tail motor. I did make one work good and it's setting on my shelf for show but if it's strong it may be worth it ,,what are the screws the hold them ,1mm metal? Or aluminum

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому +1

      It is a great build quality super strong so far. I had a dead battery landing I overflew my timer and set it down kind of hard in the field flat it hit the head and I walked over picked it up brush the grass off and put a new battery in kept flying.Zero tracking issues! There is three individual feathering Chef’s inside the head I will be doing a tear down/repair video on the head even though I don’t need to just so people know what’s inside.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 it's prolly pretty strong then ..I had one on a older mcpx one time and just pickin it up wrong or dropping it out of my hand would screw with it let alone crash but it only had .5 mil aluminum screws that was hard to get right ,,it looks beefy from the video ,,heck ya

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому

    Buying the 4 blade head. Same procedure as the 3 blade head? Also, does the kit come with all necessary hardware and blades? Thank you

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 місяці тому +1

      They sell the kits in two ways, with blades and without. So it depends which one you get if it has blades or not. It will say in the description. But yes, comes with everything you need to mount the head.

    what is the difference between the 2 blades and 3 ?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому

      So the biggest differences with three blades you’re going to have more air being pushed up and down so you’re going to get a lighter feel and more cyclic response. And for scale bodies and flying it gives it the look that it needs

  • @modelaircraft6576
    @modelaircraft6576 2 роки тому +1

    After doing this upgrade do have to change the ccpm from 120 degrees, ? also did you do blade balancing? I might do this on my 330s

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому +1

      No you do not need to change any swashplate cc p.m. as it is the same exact swashplate just metal. And the ball links are in different place for the head but nothing to do with servo placement. No blade balancing needed just bolted on and go
